Join us as we spend an afternoon, on what was the hottest day of 2023 (so far), exploring and grabbing lunch at the famous Vondelpark in Amsterdam.

We are Nate and Katrina, two American expats living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and traveling as much as we can to see what there is to see!
We balance a busy career and grad school while we explore Europe and beyond. We would love to visit every country in Europe while we live here, and definitely keep a list of our global “must visit” destinations.
We probably won’t look or sound like many other travel vlogs out there! We really want to give you a true view of us and how we travel and explore the world. Lots of food, definitely some jokes, and probably some swearing…. Hope you enjoy taking these trips with us!
Most of us Dutchied don't like airco's at home because they are loud, use a lot of energy thus very costly. Further you need to keep windows closed (yikes), it completely dries out the ambient air (unhealty), it makes you more vulnerable to getting a constant "light cold" and its not good for the environment. Airco is for whimps actually. So yeah. Btw, i like your vlogs.
Ah, The Vondelpark. My favorite place in the whole city.
It's a short walk from our home in Amsterdam Zuid. It's also the place I love to take visitors. Having a picnic and people watching is so relaxing.

The first oxygen I inhaled as a newborn came from the Vondelpark! I was born on the edge of the Vondelpark. On a hot summer day in July 1959. Well, on the Koninginneweg! You should be able to find them :-)
I'm going to the Vondelpark with my eldest daughter soon. When the weather is nice we go there for a nice picnic and people watch. Just fun!

If houses here do had airco, everybody would be staying inside, and nobody would go to the park or somewhere outdoors. Not that this was the intention of not installing airco, but we should keep it like that.
Agreed… it’s only bad a few days a year (we are in ground floor though).
