@mdzjimmy i have been watching you from sometime now but imma be honest with you- atleast in SF you make the same mistakes… you stuck bro- stuck in the loop..
Quite the opposite actually. I believe by watching real high lvl play and your gameplay, that one of the gameplay elements that holds you back from legend status (or generally some distinction as a player in sf6) is your overly offensive drive gauge spending that leads you to burnout quite often! It looks good on highlights on YT but of course they don't paint the whole picture. This 1600-1800mr that you usually sit on, happen for some reasons! Not exclusively due to this of course but believe me by watching other high lvl Ryus, its not about Ryu being low tier or something. I don't try to irritate you. I just report something I was watching for so long now
The most successful Ryu who is constantly at Legend status would be semy in EU and he is known for his very aggressive style. I think this is necessary for Ryu to succeed the way he is. Even infexious can't seem to get very high with Ryu while playing much more passively. Burning out is a risk but playing passively seems to have an even worse effect on performance for Ryu.
@mdz_jimmy I believe one thing you're not noting, is that not every single style works for everyone. I'm not trying to disregard any of your hard work, but it could be that emulating a style that they do isn't working. A possible new style could take you further. I'm a blanka main, but I don't play like mena, I play closer to Nemo or problem x, as their styles are far more suited for me. This is my first time seeing you, so I can't speak much on what your performance needs or entails, but it might not hurt to see what other stuff has to offer.
I was consistently holding legend with Ryu before i stopped playing him, and I played fairly passive. The problem I think is more that you start your offensive sequencing with gauge instead of using the gauge in combos, Semy usually cashes out into big damage, this I think is the correct way to play. Play slow and conserve gauge, get a hit, spend gauge, convert into big damage whilst maintaining 2 or so bars, go back to slower play, pokes, buffers, fireballs, until your next sizable hit, repeat.
14:23 that light confirm was so godlike 🔥
Man, Master Rank is vicious. Hashogeki Jimmy was 1843 MR a few days ago.
17:28secs - "Cammy" - P-p-p-pleassse! Lemme lvl3 you! * buffer buffer buffer * * buffer buffer buffer *
Heh. So predictable.
hi Jimmy ! in the corner when you did air tatsu for pressure, which do you use? light mid or heavy?
Woaaa My brother exploited Randumb.
Best ryu so far
Randumb wasn't that dumb
It’s just their name
I don’t think they’re random or dumb at all
@@SaucyCheeseburgerwithRanch it's a joke ....
Fiest

I'm diamond 5 now, :)
Wow! You were so in the zone, especially against Manon. And all the matches were quite entertaining. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed!

@@exshadowkick5564 It's actually the opposite. Been playing passively for a while and realized a more risky style will yield better results for Ryu.
@@mdz_jimmy I m not talking about passive Ryu. Meter preservation is more important than you make it look in this video
