Henlo, my lovely Famboos~! 🐼 After more than a year, we’re finally adding a song again from Yu Yu Hakusho, my favorite anime series ever! I’m thrilled to sing it. Tonight, we’re gonna sing the 2nd ending theme song, Sayonara byebye (さよならbyebye), another great song by one of my favorite anison singer, Mawatari Matsuko (馬渡 松子). To those of you who didn’t know yet, she’s one of my top musical influences when it comes to anison. 💖 Yu Yu Hakusho! I think I’ve said everything about how I love this series and how it pushed my interest in Japanese anime during its time from my previous covers, Hohoemi no Bakudan (opening theme) and Homework ga Owaranai (1st ending theme). So if you haven’t checked my covers of those songs yet, I hope you’d listen to them, too! Looking back, I didn’t even have 1,500 subscribers when I uploaded those covers so I’m happy that maybe more people would be able to appreciate this new one now. I really like the beat of this song. It’s got that funky but chill vibe that you wouldn’t normally hear in a lot of songs. And it’s super cool that this song is from an anime! I really had fun doing all the la-la-las in this one. Maybe it’d be cool if you try singing along to them instead of the main vocals the next time you listen to this cover again. I think you’d enjoy them as much as I did! 🐼

naaalala ko nung 2004, 2nd year high school ako and ung isang friend/classmate ko merong og yyh soundtrack, galing sa mama nya na nagwwork sa japan. un ung 1st instance na nag aral ako kumanta ng j-songs. twice na nagmark sa memory ko ung yyh, elem and hs days dahil sa mga songs kaya sobrang happy ako mkarinig ng rendition na sobrang close to the original. hands down one of the best covers.
