- Ranking the TOP 25 weapons in Call of Duty history. The cod community always has strong opinions when content creators rank anything, so I thought to myself why not have the community do the ranking instead! With that in mind I made a call of duty weapon tournament where I had the community pick the TOP 4 weapons from every COD! Then I made over 100 polls where each one had 2 cod weapons face off to have a winner and these polls ended up having about 2 million votes! This means the sample size is large enough to make this video pretty accurate to entire community’s feelings about Call of Duty weapons. And with all the results compiled together this is The Community Ranks the TOP 25 Weapons in Call of Duty History! Subscribe for more content! I love making videos for you all!

FAMAS in Bo1 was banned in european competitive play because 4 out of 4 players in every team in US used FAMAS only. Let that sink in…4 AR’s only…no smg’s. FAMAS was prohibitively OP for a reason

The scar-h in mw2 was so underrated. It had a smaller magazine but that thing hit like a truck

SCAR Had the same dmg as most other AR’s in mw2. Just more accurate and less ammo. Never really used in comp.
I’ll never forget how toxic the Brecci was back in prime BO3 days lmao. It was the ultimate troll gun to use, even with the jitter mod it had it made it even more annoying to go against lmao
I could handle people using the Brecci until someone used the jitter mod 😭

I definitely agree with the Famas (MW2) and VMP (BO3). The AK47 in BO1 was just as good as the Commando and Galil. And Scar-H just felt so smooth when you used it.
No BO3 weapon deserves to be on this list. Cant believe yall are letting CODs have such uninspired pieces of plastic as guns
This is what happens when new gen COD players vote. They just don't remember how insane some of the guns were that didn't make the list or why some OG meta guns were ranked so low.
Statistically it’s the mw2 famas.. 2 shots to kill up to 55 meters at 1020 rpm. Literally was a buffed cod4 m16 🤯
The MW2 famas had an argument for being the best gun…. But people don’t respect the non auto weapons enough!

you’re forgetting mw3 type 95 or post buff m16 which does that but without needing stopping power
@@FangedLion they both stopped one bursting at a short range while the famas was an infinite one burst. Also the type 95 and m16 had much higher recoil and worse fire rates

That gun with scavenger was incredible, it’s pretty sad to see one of the best weapons be completely unrepresented.

Spas 12 foregrip was a monster in buildings. Hipfire across the room and clear it out easily.

Yeah, I had to pause in the middle game to make sure I saw the invisible teammate 😂 And if it makes you feel better my team ending up winning. It was invisible hacker man 30-0, then me at 28-7, then a bunch of super negative people

The commando being so high is really weird. That said, the famas is no where near as op as people say. The aug was literally the same gun and after the nerfs, was objectively better, yet no one complains about it.
I loved the Barrett from mw2 and is definitely able to state the intervention directly in its eyes, when a gun fires so much that the sound can’t even keep up with the gun you know it’s phenomenal
Barrett was better but intervention is More legendary
Barrett is THE modern warfare sniper. Such a legendary gun, especially in that campaign. The intervention on the other hand was a clone gun of an already underwhelming sniper.
Intervention ADS'd quicker, had more mobility, and to my memory possibly fast reload time. So yes as a sniper the Barrett was better but being that COD is a run and gun game the Intervention preformed better for the fast engagements.@115zombies935

The polls and video were amazing! Awesome video!! I will say, one weapon that I thought could've made the cut was actually the BO3 XMC. I would say that it was somehow better than the original MSMC even after its nerfs. Insane damage, crazy fire rate, 0 recoil, you could genuinely make a case for it to be the best weapon in BO3. Shame it was locked behind supply drops though.
My number 1 weapon on Black ops 3 for kills. Absolutely overpowered because of its 0 recoil.
Yeah the XMC being behind supply drops is 100% the reason it wasn't voted for as a top 4 gun in BO3! I never got it personally but used it on my friends account and was very sad I didn't have it 😂

Was gonna comment this, pre-patch xmc was the most rediculous gun I've ever played against
i don't comment often on youtube, but i been looking forward to this video! and i totally agree with you the FAMAS from BO1 is insane and easily the best AR in BO. but also, the mp40 is in my top 3 best guns it is insane!

I'm surprised the MP5 from MW1 didn't make it. Seemed like everyone was using that thing on PC.
After the nerfs the BO1 Famas was outclassed by the AUG. It also had the ads speed slowed down to lmg levels.

SCAR-H from BO2 was underrated for real. Actually so many guns in BO2 were, the guns in that game just felt right.

I wouldn't say underrated it was probably top 3 most used guns in the game, more then the An94
The commando is ranked higher because it was the gun that required the highest level to unlock so people assumed it was the strongest gun.
I'm gonna say it, the acr 6.8 mw3 is the most OP weapon overall. Supressor + extended mag + gold camo = M.O.A.B.
I concur, Fal should be way higher. It had zero recoil, with a fast trigger finger you can shoot it fast as hell and it had absurd damage. I remember Parasite and Clayster obliterating pro's with it before the ban
FAL-OSW was stupidly good even after it got a slight nerf!
After seeing both ACRs pop up and knowing #1 was left, I panicked then remembered your comment from the Cod4 AK, mentioning there was still another Cod4 gun… “M16, Cod4!” Whattya know? Lol good list my guy, pretty spot on, thanks for putting this all together
I think the G11 from BO1 is very underappreciated, its basically a laser beam with insane TTK. I won so many standoffs against Famas, SMG but also Galil and Sniper players with it, its incredible. Still rather hard and technical to use

I remember the FAL from MW2, the Holograghic sight gave it +5 damage so with stopping power was 2 shot at any range. However, my personal favourites from MW2 was the RPD and L86 LSW, both were 2 shots to kill at any range.

Jokes aside, the SPAS-12 also from MW2 is the best secondary ever (not including pre patch Models) and imo should be on the list.

I wanna mention the M8A7 from BO3 which was super OP in the beta and was still super consistent post launch
The ICR7 from BO4 which was just a laser beam similar to the ACR
6:05 the 1911 was in the most cods of course! And I think either the bal should win but if we’re not counting variants then it should be the fal osw

The m13 from mw2019. I had this nasty setup on it with thermals, ads, extended mag, suppressor, and either fmj or sleight of hand. I just let decimated lobbies, and was a great gun for s&d paired with smokes
No desert Eagle from cod4mw is a crime. Hands down easily best secondary it was like full auto and two shot kill.
But solid list mostly.
I would listed RPK and Aug too. Scar and Remington were op too.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the bug with the MW2019 As-val on release, one of the attachments gave it infinite pierce, so you could shoot through walls all the way across the map.

Fun fact about the bal 27, the nerf only applied to 8th gen consoles and pc. On Xbox 360 and ps3 it was never nerfed, less recoil and faster fire rate

We use to make pre match agreements with the other team that no one would use the m16. That made the game super diverse and fun. That m16 though nearly broke the game. It was just too dominant.

rarely anyone knows about this, but in cod ghost, the pre patch msbs was the most broken thing i’ve ever witnessed not counting glitches or exploits, there’s very little footage of it since they nerfed it so quickly, but godamn. in a game where the TTK was already so fast, that gun took it to a whole nother level. Cross map on stone haven people would get shredded in milliseconds

One gun I was hoping to see on this list or at least an honorable mention is the vector from Ghosts. Then again I understand how people forget about guns from that game lol

I would say #1 is original modern warfare 2 intervention. The only sniper anyone used and that sound was literally amazing
Not to forget, the game breaking bug the MW 2019 AS VAL had at release was a pain in the ass. Getting clipped through multiple walls from across the map was infuriating.
People just weren’t as sweaty back then. Now everybody sweaty.
The WAW MP40 was iconic.
Surprised to not see the MW2 AUG, its my personal favorite cod weapon. Very satisfying to use and insanely strong
Really surprised with the msmc not being higher. I remember seeing that gun constantly and way more than the fal even though I used the fal way more

A clone gun being number 5 is crazy. They reskinned the R700 (literally, majority of stats are identical) and all of a sudden people liked the least popular cod4 sniper lol.
While cod4’s M40A3 should have been there instead. I’d say it’s the most iconic CoD weapon of all time. Intervention was an uglier, worse version of it.
@@mikidof Yeah, MW2 was the 3rd IW cod in a row where IW nerfed their bolt actions. M40A3 is certainly far better than the intervention.
The fact the ghosts vector wasn’t even on the list speaks numbers about who’s voting on these polls…
The Remington from Ghosts, the Striker from Original MW3, or Scorpion from BO2 not being on here is criminal

Akimbo for up close and personal encounters was alot of fun, scavenger for the ammo too
Folks really forgot about the spas-12 from mw2 2009. A secondary weapon that could 1shot kill hip fired from half way across the map
1. G11 greatest gun
2. M16 (BO1 version with just a suppressor and COD 4 with stopping power)
3. Galil with a suppressor only
4. Famas with no attachments. That’s it. G11 still runs the show!
Scar H and lsat from bo2 should be on here too

Target finder lsat was crazy lol but I don’t remember the scar being that great. Had a lot of recoil from what I remember. Messed around with it here and there, and I remember dropping 20 in league play SnD with the scar on Meltdown. But tbh I think the opposing team was just a bunch of scrubs 😂

@@TheBrandedOne2003 Okay I went back and watched scar and m27 breakdown vids for blops2. I was correct - the scar was high recoil. You had to manually burst fire it often to hit your targets at medium to long range. The m27 was one of the lowest recoil weapons in the game. You could hold down the trigger all day and it would barely move.

If you go search for triple or quad nuclears you’ll notice that it’s either with the an94 or the scar

Scar from bo2 is so underrated . Thing was a monster with quickdraw and stock
SCAR-H from MW2 was always my go to. It had less ammo, but hit harder than any other automatic.
The MK2 Marksman Rifle from MW2019 was absolutely insane and still is 100%
Not sure if it counts but akimbo skorpions in MW3 were untouchable. The vertical recoil was insane so close range you were almost always getting headshot finishers so levelling up was much more satisfying plus the drop off damage seemed to be quite long so even mid-range you could smoke people if you were more or less on target when you started shooting

Although let me suggest a zombies maps tournament, with every (or at least top 25 or so) map ever.
Now, I disagree quite a lot with this ranking, but the community voted it so not arguing against it. Just gonna mention some guns which where out of this and I consider 100% belong here.
Cod 4: Desert eagle
mw2 OG: Famas, easily a top 5 gun in cod history, and at least one of the shotguns, spas 12, aa12... They where the most busted in OG cods, should have appeared
mw3 OG: MK14 one of the best semi auto guns ever
bo2: lsat might be the most busted lmg ever, specially with certain attachments
Ghosts: Remington r5 and vector are the best on that game and top 15 guns in cod history
AW: If we counted variants, this list would be enormously different
BO3: THE FREAKING DRAKON! Should be at least in the top 4, taking the mw2 acr spot. Such a busted up weapon, 2 shot kill at any range, one in the head, silencer doesn't reduce damage, can equip red dot sight, crazy fire rate, no recoil... Dude.
Also the argus, the m8 and the vmp were busted up
I definitely agree with the MW2 Famas being top 10. The MK14 was one of my most used guns in MW3. And the LSAT was stupidly good. Then the Remington was my personal favorite AR in Ghosts. The next tournament I have planned is the top 10 call of duty characters. I’m just not sure if I should include villains or only have it be only protagonists
@@AscendAR That sounds great too. I would include the villains because there is not enough great ones to make for an independent villains tournament. There would be plenty of filler on that one
Man the drakon was crazy in multiplayer and zombies. Absolutely busted gun for that game. Also the pre nerf HVK. That thing melted at all ranges with zero recoil.
The FAL OSW was not *immediately* banned in competitive bo2. It actually took several months and almost near the end of the BO2 life cycle where they finally gbanned it. The FAL also commonly killed in 3 since it only 2 shots in its initial range which only goes to about 14 meters. Select fire on FAL also got completely gutted after the nerf, so it’s irrelevant.
Famas was smooth and fast, loved it

Don’t care what anyone says, the MK14 from MW3 was super underrated. From most if not all distances it was a two shot upper body and the fire cap was super high. All you needed was good shot alignment and I’d argue it was better than some of the more popular weapons in the game.

I agree with the msmc and especially the LC10. I don’t think I’ve ever faced a more toxic smg in cod history than that thing. Also the combat shotgun from vanguard. Pre nerf it was worse than the 725 from mw 2019. You literally could hip fire and if any part of the reticle was touching the person they were one shotted. Even across the map. That thing was insanely broken.

Perhaps the best LMG in any cod ever. Problem is the competition in mw2 was so high that it just got lost in a sea of other overpowered guns in the poll. Spraying down lane in terminal spawn killing what that thing caused many ragequits.

For my group of friends, it was a general rule in CoD4: you didn’t use the M16 unless the other team started to use the M16 😂
I know the community wouldn’t have voted for this one but the Shieva from BO3 is absolutely GOAT’ed. It was always banned from competitive because of the one shot headshots with high caliber and fast TTK overall so long as you didn’t miss your shots.
The Shieva with high caliber was godly! But yeah it has too much of a skill gap to be voted for enough
L86 lmg from mw3 was goated 2v2s when people stopped sniping that thing came out and it’s gg
I recently 1v1d a friend in BO2, he was using the AN-94 while i was using something else, after i won by a few points, he blamed it on the AN saying that it's just bad, i then 1v1d him again using the AN while he used something different to prove that he was wrong. He was, indeed wrong
I'm surprised dragunow from mw3 didn't make it on the list. That sniper could 1 tap on the head at any range, would shoot as fast as you were physically able to spam the shoot button and would always be a maximum 2 shots to kill. The recoil was very low so you could literally wipe out the entire enemy team in an instant if they were running towards you.
I remember using the non sniper scope and extended mag and I would farm kids in a lot of lobbies.
Honorable mention: top 5 gun imo the tar-21 from mw2
Fun weapon. A bit quirky. It was my cold blooded AR class to take out killstreaks with the stinger because it functioned well without stopping power.

Honestly I think Mw2 had the nicest guns overall there were a lot of stupid powerful guns but thats what made it so fun and unforgettable, just thinkin of the ump, the spas, the ranger, the scar-h, the acr, the tar21, the G18 akimbo.
Man I wish back then I knew that this was probably the best time of my life
TBH im kinda surprised and mad that the only sniper was the intervention, I thought for sure the ballista and dsr 50 were gonna b in the list, I remember in BO2 everyone was sniping with them

I expected to see the M27-IAR (always used with suppressor and thermal) and the Ripper (SMG/AR Hybrid)

MSMC was voted as a top 4 gun in BO2 but didn’t make it to the top 25, it should have in my opinion, and the DSR was voted the 6th best gun in BO2, Balista was 5th.
@@AscendARi feel like by how the criteria was, usually people will pick 1 of the two snipers (not both) for the top 4, so the votes were split between Balista and DSR. Im 100% sure that if they made it in the 4 at least one would have been in the top 25
