Yeah, still wanna get the RO Stormie to see if the head can be swapped with any of the super articulated Stormtrooper figures. Hope it works with at least one!
Jcc2224 The rogue one stormtrooper even as a 5 poa figure is amazing, ive only purchased vader and the stormtrooper and thats all i will purchase, theyre great figures
7:43 I have a couple stormtroopers that were most definitely packaged as ‘sandtroopers’, they came with the pauldrons and backpacks and everything, only they did have the waist articulation and in all ways resembled the previous figure in your lineup. But for those ones, the tube at the back of the belt was a removable piece that you could take off to make room for the backpack.
Have you ever thought about doing an updated video that includes the new Stormtroopers that Hasbro has done since the 140 Rogue One trooper? Just a cool idea. They've done so many deco changes and even changes to the sculpt since then. Think it would make for a fun video.
Thank goodness for the gorgeous Rogue One Stormies. I'm army building with them. When I make pictures, I'll have articulated guys in the background doing stuff, and have the R1 guys up close for the killer cool sculpt.
Now to your review: I really like it and it’s very cool that you got all stormtroopers to actually make this review showing the evolution of this iconic figure! Personally, the version of the Tantive IV Battle Pack was my favorite. That was until your review! I wasn’t aware that the Black Series version doesn’t have a removable helmet - I had thought it was just a straight repack of the Vintage Collection one...now, I know better and got a new favorite! Thanks for sharing and best regards from Germany!
I love the potf2 stormtroopers because of the cartoony look. I only have one of the normal troopers (which I got recently) and while I'll still grab them if I can get it for cheap, I think I'll stick to the Luke in disguise figures. Better proportioned helmet and easier to stand.
you inspired me to get the vintage collection empire strikes back stormtrooper.. i always had the beefy ones as a little kid, i felt like i had to buy some better looking ones that're articulated lol. digged up my dads 70s toys and they're in damn good condition for being out of the box
I don’t know if this question was answered before, but to the yellowing: Hasbro uses a harder, less elastic plastic for the troopers‘ torsos. The yellowing is actually caused by the sunlight. If this kind of plastic is exposed to (sun)light for a certain amount of time, the energy of the light is enough to break some molecules of the plastic, which no longer appear white, but turn into yellow. Since this is a chemical chain reaction, you cannot stop it and it’s also hard to prevent this from happening. This is very unfortunate for all fans of Troopers and army-builders. The limbs however are made of a different plastic which is not affected by light. I don’t know why Hasbro haven’t done anything about this issue, yet. The answer to this question probably is: A similar plastic of higher quality for the torsos would probably be too expensive...but there is a way to cure the yellowing at lest a little bit. Results may vary, but you can actually bleach yellowed figures with hydrogen peroxide. Ironically this works with the help of direct sunlight! There are some nice how-tos on UA-cam. The change of colors also happens to other (for example grey or black) parts like from LEGO. Sunlight can cause some serious damage to plastic...
Antonio Woods Thanks for taking the time! This question has been asked a lot online. I’m going to contact Hasbro as soon as I got more time. It’s so frustrating and if they ARE aware of this issue already, a reason why they don’t do anything to prevent the damage to Troopers over time could be: They want us to buy them new over and over again...as I said the sun breaks the molecules in a way that generates free radicals - this chain reaction cannot be stopped, but H2O2 (6% or higher solution) can bleach it quite a bit again. I’m going to try this myself next week.
Can you tell me the difference between the 3rd & 4th last ones here? Love the look of that 3rd last one (vintage collection?) but not sure what to specifically look for on ebay to find that one. Thanks.
Looking at the last one, I think it's a screen-accurate representation for the animated series, That's possibly why it appears so naive in style and comparable with the '77 original by Kenner. I was 7 in '97, The first thing I did after seeing the films as they were re-released for the first time was to build an imperial army. I had a few "Power of the force" Stormtroopers from new, But the '77 grand-daddies were so readily available, They became the bulk of my collection. I'm interested looking at this because that was the extent of my collection, I had no idea about any previous editions / releases and I find some of the later ones really impressive. Even way back in the day, I thought the '97 Kenner body moulds more than a little ridiculous for how "buff" and basic they were- The later versions with little details like the bandoleer belts with cylinders on the backs and blue striped insignia on removable helmets are really good. I wish they had been on the market back then !!
+Sam Kenobi I think I can do that! Some holes in the evolution probably, but it should be pretty fun! Probably gunna do separate videos on them. Wanna do an AT-AT driver evolution first though. Thanks for the recommends!
+Jcc2224 It is a 3.75 inch figure, it had the Fett head, and came with the black series box. I'll try to make a Facebook account so I can message you a picture of the figure.
I remember a long time ago about mid-way through the clone wars, you could get guys for 8-10$ with basically full articulation (probably just missing pointed feet, I'm picky bout articulation) and there were only a few 5POA guys, but they didn't rule like they do today. I think black series is now the best.Yes, sometimes the paint is bad, but at least they're articulated.
I recently bought a stormtrooper figure that is just under a foot tall. It has a white head and yellowish body. A friend seems to think someone put the white head on the yellow body. Do you have any knowledge about this? Thanks so much
Do you have a picture of it? You could either link the picture here in the comments, send it to me on instagram, or email it to me (email found in "about" page on channel). It sounds like it might be a yellowed Hasbro 12" Titan Hero Stormtrooper, maybe?
So, how many actual Stormtroopers have there been? I'm trying to collect variants of all of them and the clone troopers. Just canon in films right now.
I think its Disney that made Hasbro make shitty figs for more money... I mean 6 years ago we had Legacy line, full of detail articulation, droid parts and they were cheaper. Now... its some shit quality plastics no articulation, bad paint application, bad sculpt and more money. The only line to go to now is the black series one.
I think having just the swivel hips, no outward movement, sorta makes perfect with the stormtrooper, If Hasbro went back to that but gave everything else the super articulation, I would be happy, So the upper body of black series but lower of the vintage collection...Pretty much #4 on the list here
Most star wars figure other than hot toy, sideshow collectibles, and the black series is crap. But hot toys are like 200 dollars and black series are 20. I could've gotten 2 figures back then and kept 4 dollars. Now, the stuff that costs the same price as back then is 10 times worse. It's no wonder that kids stray away from toys and into technology.
Rad Reptilian Yeah New action figures sucks! When I was kid I got 3 very good action figures for just 25 Euros,Now they are like 15 Euros Each without any action.
Great video! Yeah, it's really sad to see the quality of SW figures going down, while the prices are rising. I miss all the nice super articulated Legacy & Vintage collection figures. Black series is okay, but hard to find where I live (and the figures are even more expensive at some online retailers/ebay). I really hate the first POTF2 stormtrooper figure. It's way too muscular and looks extremely ugly. When I was younger I owned twelve of them (because they were the only stormtroopers available back then) but I sold all of them at ebay a few years ago. I replaced them with a small army 30 anniversary/Legacy/Vintage collection troopers. My personal favorite is probably the Vintage Collection trooper with removable helmet (yes I do like the head sculpt). A nice set was also the Legacy Collection "Joker Squadron". I liked all the different head sculpts and the first female Stormtrooper figure "Jes Gistang".
+ross42899 Ah, that Joker Squad set is one of the few cool things to come out of Legacy for me. Those are pretty cool figures, the Quarren Sith especially! Thanks for watching ross!
Mr Reclaimer 117 i bought one last year and gave it to my cousin it sucked and didnt deaerve to be in the collecrion of the clones and all the articulated figs
Actually, he did have a POTJ release, as well as numerous Saga 1 and Saga 2 ones (namely the George Lucas in Stormtrooper Disguise), but I guess you're only counting main releases and not reissues, variations, or repaints.
I feel like this video needs a montage of new 5poa figures with their super articulated counterparts set to the johnny cash version of hurt at the end....too depressing?
This was just a general evolution of the 3.75" regular Stormtrooper. If I counted EVERY kinda stormtrooper toy ever made, we woulda been here for hours.
I dunno I'd go so far as to say rebels is the original trilogy equivalent to TCW... also at their launch, the majority of TCW figures were only $5, but of course after season one they fluctuated but now they expect us to pay 8-13 for figures you can't even pose?? A lot of people say is alright for kids but even as a small child I liked being able to pose my figs somewhat realistically
It's kinda sad that up until now hasbro hasn't been able to make an accurate stormtrooper helmet until the Rogue One line.
Yeah, still wanna get the RO Stormie to see if the head can be swapped with any of the super articulated Stormtrooper figures. Hope it works with at least one!
+Jcc2224 the same reason i got mine!
Does it fit on one?
I'd like to know too, cuz I don't have the Rogue One version yet and I don't wanna get it until I know.
Jcc2224 The rogue one stormtrooper even as a 5 poa figure is amazing, ive only purchased vader and the stormtrooper and thats all i will purchase, theyre great figures

Black Series Stormtrooper is pure gold and a blessing
can you please give me one. I would like it.
Rudy Bernardino, the Black Series one is the worst in here.
Hot toys?
@@cooper7838 how dare you disrespect the black series they have a nice and smooth stormtrooper helmet for cosplay
You forgot to mention how the CommTECH Stormtrooper has blast marks on it's chest when it gets very cold.
Is, is that an actual playfeature? Like for real? Cuz I never knew that. Wonder if mine are actual CommTECH or just re-releases without that feature.
Yes. Splash some cold water and see
Have you ever thought about doing an updated video that includes the new Stormtroopers that Hasbro has done since the 140 Rogue One trooper? Just a cool idea. They've done so many deco changes and even changes to the sculpt since then. Think it would make for a fun video.
i have "good old gram papa" and it truly is one of my most favorite figures I own
Darth Legion 40 year old grand papa MtfbwU always.👍
"Heey that's pretty good"
Heeeey that's mildly adequate!
Bleaux Me I got that too
I love how it gets less yellowish when it gets to the newer ones
The evolution is evolving to the past! I like the figures at 2000 most..

Donna Lau yea but which ones are those, do you know the name
I love stormtroopers
innerfuzzball psh. Us clonetroopers predated you and are better.
innerfuzzball clones re better
innerfuzzball me too 😁
I like both clones and storms however I hate the first order storm trooper
Great video! Makes me want to collect more Stormtroopers.
I love the POTF 2 StormTrooper, even though my version yellowed a bit over time.
The Mad Lion woah yellow? Yellow stormtrooper
I love the POTF2 line as well
Just ordered a news stormtrooper yesterday
What amazing video on star wars stormtroopers are amazing collection 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

This video...I like this..
Do arc trooper evolution
We all had dreams but hasbro destroyed them
I just started collecting storm Troopers 😁👍
Aw man! I had the 2005 ones, lost them in a toy microwave for a while when I was 3
I'm just curious but do you know where to buy any saga legends for cheap on eBay?
You are my favorite UA-camr
For the storm troopers that are missing blasters you can go to marauder task force and get e-11s
I think the last one is from REBELS that's why doesn't have details.
Do the update video including the one from ROGUE ONE, please!
Good stuff
+maddwoba fanks man
Which stormtrooper you favor the most if you got few spares I'll trade some standard stromtrooper ones with all joints if you know what I mean

My dad has many generation 2 star wars toy that he gave me and three of those are Gen 2 stormtroopers and one Gen 2 sandtrooper
There was a stormtooper released around the same time of ep2 in an imperial forces pack that i didnt see in this video. Anyone heard of tgat one??

great review, I have a fair few of them, shows the progression of the figure, right until the crappy 5 POA version, not fussed on that one
Articulation is the best feature, tied with looks. You can't get any good posability with that garbage. And it doesn't look good either.
1:19 what the heck
Is that kind of Strom trooper
My black series stormtrooper had a Jango Fett head and instead of a giant ball peg. Is that normal?
+tailsandclankfan 3.75"? If so, I don't think so. If you have access to my Facebook page message me a pic of it on there, I'll try to get you answers.

And I love your videos 👍👦
When Hasbro is making a new super articulated storm trooper they be like that sand trooper modle looking real good right now
lol so true
The Stormtrooper in rebels doesn’t have detail to the mouth piece though
cool man loves me some stormies...
The evolution of Sandtrooper, please
Are you updating this list with the new figures?
I'm going to do a new video for the new figure comparing him to many of these, but I don't think I'll remake this entire video.
3:09 plot twist: You had bad breath which caused him to faint XD
All scout trooper action figures.

Why don't hasbro put a simple articulation in the arms and legs instead the legs are so stiff with limited articulation.
I had almost all of the stormtroopers
I've had a look online and I can't seem to find that third stormtrooper. I don't think that it was a 'power of the force 2' figure.

Here ya go!
@@Jcc2224 Thank you so much, man!
Where is the Black series?? They are the best.Currently building an army from them

picks up luke skywalker action figure* Jc:so it's pretty much just reusing a sandtrooper body
Update maybe????
What's about sandtroopers?
Saved with Rogue one. MtfbwU always.👍
May I please have a stormtrooper? I’m drooling here. Lol
You said "May I please" which I approve... but no.
I love that old one that's overly buff and comic like
The spacetrooper has the best helmet sculpt
I have the first storm trooper action figure from my grandpa
I have the second storm trooper figure that he reviews a
