I think that all the phases of the dark trooper were retired clones. And I think most of those clones were like severely injured. How horribly gruesome

You have described precisely the concept behind phase 0 Dark troopers, which is very horrific indeed. Phase 1 however was just an Imperial battle droid, while phases 2 and 3 have nothing to do with clones. Which is quite unfortunate in my opinion as I would've really loved for the first phases of dark troopers in the new canon to be changed to what you have described🙃

And I know what you mean about the thrill of finding something rare in the wild on the shelf of a TRU! I remember getting that feeling seeing the exclusive Trench Run set and I was so incredibly happy to finally own an X-Wing in 3.75 scale.
That sky trooper is AMAZING looking!!!! The Helmet is like a improvised Stormtrooper Helmet with BIGGER Eyes to patrol the skies better! I know it's because it's a older mold the Helmet. But that's what I'll pretend when I look at it 🙂
In my head cannon the death troopers are actually republic commandos turned emperial and also in my headcanon delta squad (except sev becuz I think sev joined the rebellion) turned into the first death troopers
There were also phase 0 dark troopers if you didn't know! They were created in the early years of the empire; and were literal cyborgs. The empire would take aging clone troopers who were becoming unfit for battle and infuse their bodies with advanced technology that increased their physical and mental awareness. Some phase 0 dark troopers had actually become more machine than man, a few having more than 70% of their organic body discarded for robotic parts. This project was ultimately a failure as it lead to many of these troopers trying to commit suicide as they had lost all their dignity and individuality. So the empire would then start the Phase 1 dark trooper project, in which they stopped using human templates and just created advanced battle droids.
Loose waist joints on clone and stormtroopers can be fixed by taking either a small clear rubber band, or even small hair rubber bands, and wrap and twist it around several times, until it works it's way around the body of the figure I've done it a bunch of times Same trick will also work on loose hip and shoulder joints too

Think it's kinda funny that it's supposed to be a Stormtrooper from The Mandalorian specifically (since it's obviously squeaky clean) but whatever: Better Stormtroopers and it's just what the box says at the end of the day. (Plus it's more fun to weather stuff yourself)
Man as a kid i rarely collected imperials when i had the option of a new clone variant, and while i still prefer clones, i feel like there were just so many more unique imperial trooper variants over the years! I regret not getting a lot of them. Another idea for this could be every (insert imperial mold ever) or top 10 of (this imperial mold) to show off more variants.

This is just my opinion, but I don't like the first order stormtrooper look. They also talk wayyyy to much and their aim is good. Doesn't make sense for over 28 years for both clones and stormies having bad aim and not talking much. Also rogue one I don't like the new outfits. I wish they'd just stick with the original look and giving the first order something more mysterious and dark

Correction : The Dark Troopers in the original Battlefront are Phase - Zero. Phase - 3 are the big tank like troopers.
