Someone asked on reddit once about why people calmed Mac down. I basically said that I wouldn't want to be in that position without help and I felt bad for exacerbating his panic in the first place. Also when it says "walk away", I had just assumed that it meant walking away without speaking to Mac or doing anything. I didn't realize that it included exacerbating his panic even more! Knowing this just makes it less likely that I'm gonna want to make that choice.
I helped him on my playthrough, this game is written so well, having 4 writers for this game payed off (3 female writers, 1 male and his name is Ryan (Ryan Clements) - coincidence?), one of the best games I ever played
This Channel is absolutely incredible. I love how you took such a niche idea and completely ran with it. You passion shows and I'm happy there's other human beings who care about this game as much as I do (or even more!!) Thank you:)
Right, and while his behavior shouldn't be enabled, he does deserve someone to see him for who he truly is and reach out a hand for support. If he doesn't take it.. if he doesn't change.. ok, that's on him, but everyone deserves that imo
Btw I do feel like calming Mac down has so much more benefit and overall makes sense to the game plot, walk away makes absolutely no sense seeing that Alex literally crushes him, doesn’t even walk away like what the choice implies like- game has so many errors Btw in fact the best choice u can make in this game overall periodt.
Yo Tina! Play Simulacara, the best choice making game that is not life is strange! I swear you and Paul are going to have so much fun playing it, it’s like a horror game at the same time but it has so many decisions and outcomes you got to play it!
Yaaas ! I love your videos Tina, this is so interesting. Thanks again for your dedication I hope you're doing great despite that Life is Strange obsession of yours
LOL oh yes.. the recovery is going well 😄 Thanks Zachary! I'm really on a mission to prove wrong the people that say choices in this game don't make a difference. Seriously..? There are so many changes for everything you do!
Hello :) Okay, last time, I mentioned how much I loved the equality of most choices in True Colors … but this choice definitely isn’t among them XD I simply don’t see any reason to walk away from Mac, because no one deserves to be trapped in a panic attack like that, no matter what they did or didn’t do. Seeing the consequences didn’t change my opinion on that either. Here, I would provide an alternative: “Get Riley”. So basically, I would make this choice into “Alex calmed down Mac” or “Riley calmed down Mac”. I obviously don’t know how equal that choice would be, but I think it would definitely be more equal than what we currently have. Especially because it would also provide more depth to their relationship, no matter if they broke up or not. At least I would’ve liked to see that :) But hey, I guess you can’t expect every choice to be “gray”, there’s gotta be some that are more black and white than others. Still, I hope we will see more complex choices in Double Exposure!
Honestly I don't think it'd be fair to walk away from him. I mean if Mac ignored the phone call or something, then yeah, I could understand it. But he tried his best and I feel bad about how the game treats him. Mac is a victim as well. And the fact that he has suicidal thoughts tells me everything I need to know about him. I mean we saw his fear. He's being threatened/blackmailed, everyone in Haven Springs hates him and thinks he killed Gabe. Imagine taking a phone call, passing it on, then someone dies and everyone blames you. It's gotta be hell on earth. Plus I don't think his past anger issues should be used against him forever. People can make mistakes, but they can also change. Change doesn't happen if you don't let it happen.
YES! That's the sole purpose of this Channel is to show how complicated these games are. It's really frustrating when people say "there's only 2 endings" and stuff like that. These games are soooo much more involved than just a final cut scene. I'm glad you see it!
Thanks for letting me know! I replaced a bunch of thumbnails awhile back and accidentally added the Call out Mac one to this video instead of the Calm Mac down one. Thanks again!

Oooh, thank you so much @Cody Galati! ❤️🦋🥰
I helped him because overall he is a hothead but a good man at heart who was forced into a bad situation

Yeah, I walked away from Mac my first playthrough. Do I regret it? NOPE
why is the thumbnail like that
Thanks for letting me know! I replaced a bunch of thumbnails awhile back and accidentally added the Call out Mac one to this video instead of the Calm Mac down one. Thanks again!
