FYI for anyone doing this on the JK's. You don't have to take off the bumper to get the fog lights out. @ 18:18 that plastic piece once removed will allow you to pull the fog lights out after unscrewing them.
Yes. While it is difficult to access them from that location, you can in fact do it without removing the bumper.
@@JDCarsChannel Not sure how much room there is, just figured I'd add this in since I did the fogs on my girls JKU and there was plenty of room to pull them up through that opening. Granted her JKU is mostly stock.

for me I have to remove the bumper because if the winch and none-stock bumper

Lol, as David stated, this vid has the best production value by far! Dem beats!!! For auto presentation, the fast twiitch/ skip editing style is my absolute favorite. The intro on this vid was so tight that when it faded to black I was like "Nice, time well spent." As an electrician you make a good plumber.
First: Buy and In-line fuse holder and connect the wire to the battery for power. Second: Don't use Green wire for a "Hot" wire. Use Red or Black.

FYI I just purchased for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlmited and planned to mount the control unit by the battery as your video suggested. Unfortunately, the wires were not long enough to reach to the driver side lights. Good video though.
Where did you end up mounting the control box I am having the same issue?

I would use an adapter for the fogs install. Splicing the OEM harness seems unnecessary

Great video! Unfortunately, I am not as knowledgeable as you when it comes to cars. I installed some lights on my front grill that took me almost two weeks (on and off). Suppose to take an hour! But thanks to you, I ordered to Suparee RGH Halo's. I also paid (through Amazon) to have an installer come to my home and install them. At least I know it will be done right.

Quick question though! When your Jeep is in drive and selected to auto, what lights are used as DRLs? I was of the opinion it would only be the halos but it looks like the main lights are on no matter what unless I put the jeep in park
Glad the video was helpful! This sounds like a setting on your specific vehicle rather than a feature of the lights. I recommend researching how to change your settings, or try running just the halos by turning the headlight switch to OFF
I just installed these lights, but the app doesn't find them. I have an android. Can you link the app for that? Maybe I'm using the wrong one?!

apple phones already come with a qr code scanner installed
i have the same lights but the halos are next to invisible during the day no matter what color I run, even with the headlights off. Yours appear to be much brighter than mine even in the same lighting. The brightness is all the way up in the app, not sure what's up
About the QR code. If you just open your camera app and poit it towards the QR code it will auto populate the app.

also i dont think those are grommets.. grommets are typically rubber or plastic things you'd put in a hole in order to feed a wire through without the wire getting cut on the metal. Those are just plastic fasteners or clips...

Used this video and my installation went great, just got a problem with my halos flickering, any ideas what could be the problem
Glad the video was helpful! The flickering is surprising. I would suggest checking your halo wiring connections and make sure none of them are loose. If the problem persists, please reach out to the seller.

Wow. First off, MAJOR PROPS to you for this video. It's the best one out there. However I have an issue still. My control box has FOUR wires: Ground (easy), Red, Green, and Blue. Uninstalled, the headlights work like normal headlights and there is no Bluetooth working. I have no idea what to do with the Red, Green, or Blue wires. I would like to assume that Red is for power, but I am lost after that. Any ideas?

your passenger side headlight is supposed to be a bit higher.
Hey thanks for the vid. It was very helpful on my install of this kit. I am having a small issue though. The bright and dim functions on my lights are reversed. The fog lamps turn off when the brights are activated as they should, but the bright function also makes my lights run in the standard mode. Turning off the brights in the cab, the brights turn on out front, AND the fog lights come on as they should when brights are disabled. I used the harnesses that prevent flicker, and triple checked that the lights weren't installed upside down. Ideas?

It sounds like you may have blown your radio fuse. I would check the fuse box for a blown fuse.

Why didn't you use a fuse tap for the halo lead? Wrapping the lead can be pulled out.
I didn’t have one... fusetaps are good though
@@JDCarsChannel I also noticed this part of the video and thought the same about the fuse tap, BUT one thing I'd add is you want to get your +12 from the load side of the fuse rather than the hot side. If you attached your wire to the hot side, you effectively eliminate the fuse from protecting that new load. You can tell which side to attach your wire by using a volt meter to the fuse box's socket, one side at a time, you want to tap off the 0 volt side.

Yes, but the headlights sort of drown out the lighter colors on the halos when they're on.
I’m having trouble getting the Bluetooth together ? How did u do that. Mine are installed and cutting on but they app isn’t working for me to change color settings
Did you make sure the headlights are connected in the app? There's a "connect" button that needs to be pressed before changing colors

They didn't seem to have a handedness from what I could tell.
