A great song! I am blown away! But for me the real question is how to heal these wounds, build these bridges and to build a society that listens to our mother, the land.

I've now heard this rather a few times but as i watch here with headphones on as it's released out into the world, tears run down my cheeks. Feelings continue to arise that i didn't know were within. I believe THIS is remembering who i am.
This is not a song, it's an experience and I bow down to you for the clarity and courage to bring it forth

Very moving and I'm not usually an emotional person. You speak the truth that many try to deny or hide. Keep going and refuse to be silenced. Fantastic! Thank you Rachel for bringing this exceptional lady, her strength and commitment to my attention. 💕

Wow wow and wow, this is epic and so deep. Ainé thank you for showing the links here, I feel it in my bones, I believe that this connection will really help people to take a stand together. We are one and we are many - all that have been abused, traumatized and removed from our indigenous country. I stand with my indigenous brothers and sisters and say No More.

BOOM. Heart blown wide open. I'm.a Highland Scot of Irish descent, my 15 year old great aunty, Mary, was shipped to Australia, an orphan. God only knows what happened to her, she was never heard of again. I am truly grateful to you for opening my heart, my fire will burn for her and the countless other indigenous Peoples, Irish and Scots, who were lost, crushed, raped of all humanity. 🔥

Aine you are the first person to actually reply to a comment, for me. Gratitude. If I may I will share a poem I wrote last century
      Living Next Door to Malice.
      We were British subjects but
      not proud of it and
      we carried no shame.
      We’re Aussie subjects and
      we are proud of it,
      while we carry the burden
      of shame,
      dirty deeds
      done in our name.
      We came here in chains
      and we accept no blame
      for the rape and pillage
      done in our name.
      The Earth lies bleeding,
it’s time to stake our claim.
      Our Earth lies bleeding,
step up and defend our Mother
      all you sisters and brothers.
The Earth is a Wytch and they
      still burn Her.
      Our Earth lies bleeding.
      Our Mother lies bleeding.
      Brian Allen. East Lismore. 2017.

This song has blown me away. Aine, you sing to so many of my own thoughts and feelings, and learning, over the last couple of years about Irish history and the Irish diaspora in Australia, and the violent colonisation of this country. Such a great partnership with Emily, and important call to action too, which I hope to rise to. There is often a romanticisation of Ireland by the diaspora, which can be cheap and hollow and racist. It's important to know what role we've played and are still playing as colonisers as you say. I went to Ireland last year and travelled to the places and towns where my great grandparents on both sides of my family lived - notably my great grandmother who emigrated at 16 from Co. Galway - and met with cousins for the first time, who welcomed me so warmly. It was very emotional. Walking on and in the land and country felt profoundly connecting too. Solidarity and thanks for this powerful rebel call.
