- I rarely speak of bags yet I use a tote bag on every other day. For that reason it was time an upgrade. I wanted to do a Bleu de Chauffe review for quite a while after seeing their bags gaining some great reviews. So here it is. Comparing two of their most popular bags. The 'Bazar' tote and the 'Zinnia' tote.

I use a Filson tote bag most days and love it, had a few “handbag” comments off mates but it’s too useful to care. Also looks way better than a plastic bag from a supermarket and more sustainable too

Absolutely loved this video! Thanks for bringing this brand to my attention it looks great. Would love to pick something up form them! You're definitely the most stylish UA-camr and definitely know you're stuff. It's all about quality for me too these days.
I'd say tote bags are unisex, for a vintage style I'd recommend LL Bean for made in the US and around $50.
Another vote for the Filson Rugged Twill. The zippered version also makes a great weekend bag.

That second bag is most certainly waxed. That's a heck of a tote. I must admit, after a bit of thought, I use totes all the time without thinking about it. I get them at my local grocery store. I've got a bunch and being cheaply made, the handles blow out, but they are super handy none the less. The waxed cotton looks cool, though being an open top, it's not going to be all that great in the rain, more of an aesthetic which you know will patina well, at the expense of a little weight added and the wax can get on your clothes.
This would be great for real world grab and go, keep in my car maybe. No way would I choose the one with the graphics. Guys use totes all the time, along with everyone else, they simply aren't typically spending top dollar on one. Super quick to grab and go, I'll have to look to see if you did a more long term review.
Hey Cameron, great video on the mens tote bag. I'm from Canada and I noticed that the tote bag IS becoming more and more popular among men, especially is the big cities where there is a big urban culture. Guys have more things to carry around now than ever before (wallet, sunglasses, umbrella, water bottle, keys, gym clothes, etc etc.....even need extra space if they stop to pick up a couple items from the grocery store). People in urban centres tend to do a lot more walking and are outside longer, picking up various things as they go throughout the day. Men may hesitate to carry it over their shoulder (seems to have the same feminine stigma as men who sit with their legs crossed for some strange reason) but most are comfortable carrying it by the handles. I myself have a couple tote bags and love them and don't care what anyone thinks or says. The totes I have are the more masculine squared off shape of the bleu de chauffe bag (which I may just order for myself). With plastic bags no longer provided at shops here in Canada and the Rucksack/backpack not always big enough to carry all the everyday items, I'm convinced the tote bag will continue to grow in popularity. I agree that the second one without the logo looks better, the logo looks nice but it's so big on the first one it's a bit distracting. Personally I don't use totes, if I need a bit of space I use a backpack and if I need more I'll use a weekender. Maybe one day...
If a tote bag makes you happy you go for it! But they're not for me! I use a messenger for work and either a rucksack or weekender for trips away.

Good review. I used LL Bean tote bag every once in a while and it works for me. Can you make a review on Rimowa carry on luggage. Aluminum vs. polycarbonate, I know they are both excellent depending on a person’s preference but your opinion does matter, Thank you.

In southern california I feel like they stopped giving free plastic bags for over a decade, so now the norm is everyone brings tote bags. I've never felt them being a feminine product, but that might just be because everyone uses them, and they have strong practical use.
Also those adjustable straps are such a game changer. There is nothing worse than having to carry a tote bag high in the air to prevent it from dragging on the floor.
I got my wife a tote from Cravar for Christmas to haul around her laptop. Great bag, she loves it! All veg tan leather and more affordable than your featured bags.
The canvas would have been used for the cloth removable top of the jeep.

i used to not even consider a tote as an option but i came across a really good deal on a filson one with a zipper and honestly, i use it more than all my messenger bags nowadays. granted im in my 40s and dont care if strangers think its feminine or not... i think if i was in my 20s i definitely couldnt pull it off without thinking i was carrying my girlfriends purse or something... but something changes as you get older and other peoples perception of you doesnt matter as much anymore. that being said, totes are... totes awesome.

I have a Pikmin tote bag from Club Nintendo that I use sometimes. It actually flew out of my car once over a bridge and I risked my life to get it back. Love that thing.
I love jackets, bags, boots, T shirts, shirts, sweatshirts etc. Not bags for men. Except a rucksack mainly when camping/ or at the airport. Must be my age. The first was enough for me to say say oh no.
