This is why knockdown state is a vital lifesaver for the Players, being knocked down mean you don't eat the full damage output of these attacks for their entire duration and give you a chance to recover to survive, no matter how small of a chance it may look.
yeah the multi hits are just a way to extend an attack's active frames and since they dont need to tune it against other enemies very much it creates funny situation like golem lasers or gargoyle destined death combo
Thats also why the Deathrite bird hits the hardest against the player. The ground ghostflame does no poise damage meaning youll get ticked without even noticing it and it does a shitton of damage
It's more that the players are given ample i-frames when knocked down, or even when sent flying. These bosses receive no such i-frames when knocked down or otherwise knocked away, so they can take tons and tons of damage from certain moves. It's also possible for the player to not get those i-frames, such as during the Ironjar Aromatic's effect or occasionally on Torrent. As such, there's a trade-off to certain options that the player can utilize too, as opposed to these traits only popping up in boss vs. boss situations or, in normal gameplay, for certain Spirit Ashes.
I love the duality of 7:38 happening. The gravity bull just out-lasered the laser golem, While Maliketh's gargoyle out life-stole the blame flame expert. While doing it at the same time, no less. Very impressive.

Untold levels of brokeness. They say when these enemies were designed, the balancing team was tied up and locked in the bathroom as Tanimura singlehandedly wrote the boss code himself. He kept murmuring something about wanting to replicate the run to the Blue Smelter demon from DS2 dlc, but condensed into single enemies. 🤷
you really gotta set it so they only spam their power moves. imagine if the death rite bird cast ghost flame ruin non stopped, or the fully grown falling star beast only spammed the star laser. would be way different.

I always find it amusing when watching a bunch of giant enemies fight each other in these games. Since their move-sets were all designed for fighting smaller opponents, they end up constantly stabbing into the ground or swiping at each other’s feet. 😂

I had genuinely never seen that laser attack from the Fallingstar Beast, I was confused as to why it was 'broken', now I know and I am grateful that I was never on the receiving end of that attack.
Don't know how possible this is, but imagine if you could make it so the only move any of the bosses could use was the broken move (eg. NON STOP ROLLING)
Half the reason why the golem does well is because it's too slow to join the chaos of fighting in a big group lol. Every time it won is because it was basically 1v1 while the rest were doing a battle royale haha

Yes in terms of it's a prolonged, continuous attack in one area. Imagine how much damage the gravity beam does if EVERY single frame and hit box connected? Laser Golem got a tiny taste and it did over 160,000 hp!!!
Seeing all 6 destroy Malenia and Gideon made me curious. Can any boss AND their entire area survive all of them at once? (Ergo Godrick with all of Stormveil castle, Morgott with all of Leyndell, etc.) That would be such a pleasure to watch.
A tip for those struggling on the Rotten Erdtree Avatar. Delay your roll and roll behind him without locking on. It sounds tough but its super easy. Trivializes the “boss”.
Malenia needs to not have her abilities disabled at least once. A single opening attack during the transition to the second phase would solve most of the problems.
She has a decently rough time with a lot of those bosses in a 1v2 or even 1v1 situation, as is. 1v6, which it essentially was since Gideon was essentially a non-factor, and she basically just doesn't get to play the game.
Kindred was getting shafted by being forced next to the two beings with the most reach and poise tbh. Not really fair. You should've swapped their positioning for each round I think.
Same. Part of it was the map area for that fight sucked. Part is the target lock is ass. Rest is BS damage and stupid moveset. I rage quit that fight like 3 times.
Back in my day, slow attacks did big damage, fast attacks did a little damage. One of my main complaints about this game is that I can never guess how much an attack is going to hurt since fast and slow attacks pretty much do the same damage.
That Fallingstar beast laser is way underrated , I remember getting wrecked by it the first time attempting to fight the valcano manor one 😂 I was on 35 int and was running a mage build , so it took quite a lot of time to bring it to low hp , and then bro started the laser , i just got cheesed in a second and was so mad lol
Now we just need to come up with an underpowered bosses battle royale. Like bosses that are way too weak. Obviously Gideon Ofnir would be part of that, but what other bosses are seriously undertuned?
Examples of weak bosses? Regal Ancestor Spirit, Morgott the Omen King, Lichdragon Fortissax, Starscourge Radahn (without the meteor attack of course), Margit the Fell Omen, and finally, Godrick the Golden.

Seriously, not sure if you can manipulate them to do only that, but you should do a "who can survive the LAZOR" from Fallingstar Beast. Judging by the damage that dealt to the golem, I'm assuming absolutely no one.
The golems for whatever reason aren't too resistant to Sorceries. Taking them out as a pure sorcery caster was easy for me on every playthrough. Assuming the Fallingstar Beasts' gravity laser deals magic damage, if anything can survive it, it'd have to be a boss with really high resistance to magic. Maybe Astel?
@@ObiWanShinobi917 You're right in that they are weak to sorceries overall, but they are very resistant to Gravity Sorcery. Sure, you do break their stance A LOT with them, but the damage is atrocious as it's physical. I'd assume the sorcery from the FSB being Gravity as well, wouldn't have that much effect. I COULD (probably AM, to be honest) be wrong about the lazer, and maybe it's just pure magic damage, but it's something to look at.
These rounds do a great job of showcasing the techniques that can make each of these bosses so tremendously formidable. Even the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast's laser beams, which it hardly seems to ever do in boss vs. boss battles, make an appearance here and work wonders. The Godskin Noble's roll shows why it's as fierce as it is infamous, and the Death Rite Bird really reveals just how many mega moves it has. The later rounds have some cool moments too, like the laser golem's beams, which at first seem to aim too high, knocking the Godskin Noble out of his roll right when he jumps up. However, I did notice that the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast's triple stalagmite attack seems glitched and targets its own hind legs rather than an opponent. Despite this, the video was really fun, and I liked the varied winners and final few in each round too, as this further emphasized how powerful these bosses are. Thanks for the videos, Bjorn!
Hi-Tech laser from the golem got erased by space alien laser lol This is one of the FFA battles that I feel I cannot guess the outcome, because the winner of each fight is different.
FGFSB only used its laser once... and that was the first time I have ever seen it. I had no idea it even HAD that attack, I rarely bother fighting it and when I have I've never seen it. Holy shit it's so goddamn cool.
They should come out with a PvP DLC where you can play as the bosses, with a randomizer that chooses which boss you get, balanced HP and resistances. It would be SO GOOD!
When Fully-Grown FSB went all “IMA FIRIN MA LAZA!” on the Golem in the 10x round, I half expected it to start at waist lvl and erase everything that was left, but seeing it put Golem in its place was still hilarious.🤣

Guardian Golem is really best boy. He's not even a boss in this game! In fact he's someone many people don't even know exists. Like how he probably wants it. He just wants to nap by the cliffside where people won't find or bother him and that's it. It's when someone has to wake him up with garbage that he has to smack a bitch to get his shut-eye back

He’s the final boss as far as I’m concerned. I’ve done everything in my first play through but I haven’t beat this guy yet. Found him once on accident and knew I was no match lol.
I wonder if the reason some of these attacks are so busted against other bosses is for the same reason as lady Maria’s ape on Bloodborne that basically one shots any boss she fights, from what I recall, happened because when it hit the player, they got knocked over and got I frames, but since attack does damage on every frame, without that happening it does nuts damage

Could you try randomising their positions after each fight? They keep ending up in ‘groups’ in the beginning even if the final outcome differs.

Like how he probably wants it. He just wants to nap by the cliffside where people won't find or bother him and that's it. It's when someone has to wake him up with garbage that he has to smack a bitch to get his shut-eye back

He’s the final boss as far as I’m concerned. I’ve done everything in my first play through but I haven’t beat this guy yet. Found him once on accident and knew I was no match lol.

BBK was a menace in all of these, being able to take off 1/3 of a targets HP that fast made him an instant threat

I wonder if the reason some of these attacks are so busted against other bosses is for the same reason as lady Maria’s ape on Bloodborne that basically one shots any boss she fights, from what I recall, happened because when it hit the player, they got knocked over and got I frames, but since attack does damage on every frame, without that happening it does nuts damage
The only thing i didn't like is the position of the mobs. They fight basically the same way everytime, it would be cool if the position were different
