The new Sportster S has broken all the molds! This sweet motorcycle brings the Sportster family into a new era with its Revolution Max 1250 T engine. The 1250 T makes 121 horsepower, 94 pounds of torque, and has a flat torque delivery for performance through the whole speed band. The 'T' in the new Revolution Max 1250 engine stands for 'torque' and the new Sportster S and at 500 pounds and a $14,999 price tag it looks like it will be able to easily deliver the torquey feeling of the bigger V-Twins at a fraction of the weight and price.
This bike is more than just engine. This is the first liquid cooled Sportster with a 6 speed transmission, cruise control standard, and an interactive Bluetooth ready 4 inch display. The Sportster S comes with three pre programmed ride modes and two customizable modes as well. The three pre programmed modes are Rain, Sport, and Normal. Each mode has an affect on braking, speed mapping, suspension, and other rider feedback elements of the bike.
The Sportster S has a really cool Bobber styling that lends to it's sporty build. The bike comes stock with forward controls for a more aggressive riding position and upswept exhaust pipes reminiscent of the XR 750. With all the speed and torque the Revolution Max 1250 T engine will be pumping out Harley has Brembo brakes on the front and rear of this sporty bike. The front and rear Showa shocks make for a smooth performance. based ride as well.
Harley Davidson will also be releasing a full line of accessories called the Wild One Lineup to personalize and customize your new Sportster S.
We really like the Sportster S and are excited for this new moment in Harley Davidson history! Let us know what your thoughts are on this new motor and bike. - Авто та транспорт
Let us know what you think of the new Harley-Davidson S. Are you planning to get one? What do you think of the styling? Will the performance measure up to your expectations?
extremely underwhelming on style power and price. 30hp less than the pan america at 120hp. im sure you can get a 10 k sportster add 5k horsepower kit and get around the same power .
I like it! To small for me, but liking the pan America! Also looking forward to see what other models they are putting this motor in.
@@jessecaldwell9780 It will be exciting to see what else they do with the Sportster family for sure!
I like it and really would love to pull the trigger on it but I need something with a little more range than a 3.1 gallon tank.
@@red2432 we agree that the looks are not for everyone (even some of our guys are not in love with the new look), and that you might be able to get close to some of the new Sportster figures from a stock Sportster but they would be totally different beasts. The new Sportster S has 6 gears, is liquid cooled, and has ride modes just to name a few of the huge differences. The Sportster S is definitely not for everyone, but it is definitely more than a suped up stock Sportster. 🤙
I was all set on the Indian Scout Bobber, but wait a minute.
Looks like HD has finally made a real effort instead of coming up with a different paint job every year. I wonder if opposition from Indian had anything to do with that? I’ve got a ‘91 1200 Sportster I’ve owned since near new, the new Sportster S looks like a vast improvement right up there with the latest V-twin sport bikes. If they made it more “sport” with more conventional wheels and maybe dual discs I’d be seriously looking at one.
Take a look at an Indian scout bobber and then decide lol it looks pretty close
@@Hugh_Jarsole That’s what I’m saying, it looks like it’s in direct opposition to the Indian FTR. Now the FTR has apparently got more sporty style wheels, if HD did the same I’d seriously look at the HD. Personally I like the looks except for the fat wheels.
Of course Indian raised the bar.Competition is great for us consumers. We win !
I think it looks great as is...like a scaled down Fat Bob. A dual disk set up in the front would be more inspiring. The FTR is a cool bike as well and I have ridden one a few times...they are pretty quick. It will be interesting to see how the Sportster S stacks up.
Harley Davidson is going to lure more riders into the brand with these new innovative models. I am a die hard Triumph guy and own a 2020 Tiger 1200 XCX and a Thruxton R Cafe Racer with the Cafe fairing. As a compliment to it for more off road adventure riding, I just ordered the Pan America S in Grey and Black. Astounding bike! I NEVER thought I would ever buy a Harley Davidson! Now I'm a Harley guy!!!
Thanks for tuning in. Congrats on the Pan America...great motorcycle!
Welcome to HD mate.
God owns a Harley, but rides a Triumph
Commiserations on becoming a Harley guy, let us know where to send the sympathy flower bouquet. xD
@@_Meriwether Your address because you don't have one!!! LOL!🤣😂😆👋
Nice Harley scout
Based on the quality of this video, I did NOT expect it to have come from such a relatively small channel! Good stuff guys, keep it up! Stoked to see people getting theirs hands on these bikes soon!
Much appreciated!
I like the looks of the Scout Bobber, but this looks damn nice. And that power!
Great review and your passion for HD really shines through!!
I appreciate that!
Looks awesome, and am anxious to try it out!
This is going to be my first Harley-Davidson. Love the look.
Right on!
Cheers to 800 subs! I gave you that missing Sub! First time viewer much love
Awesome thank you!
Great description, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Put the pipes where they supposed to go and put dual disks up front a performance bike needs to stop fast too. But its kind of xr ish and fat Bob v rod cross breed.
It only weighs 500pounds brakes are fine
@@denniscoughlin7437 sure, they're "fine" but if they're advertising this as a sporty cruiser it needs dual discs.
Great video!! I am from Spain and thinking to buy it soon :)
Hope you enjoy it!
17000€ - a little bit expensive
Good decision.
@@JordiFrio we pay 20k in the Netherlands
Beautiful motorcycle, will be a big seller. Nice video lots of nice info😎
Hope to see some different pipe options soon. Loving it though! Was hoping they’d do this!
We're glad to see the Motor Company update a bike in this category.
great looking bike ! and nice that Harley gives it a vintage twist with the exhaust on the same place as the old day track racers, cool.
Couldn't agree more!
I am digging my 2015 48...something about that classic look, that is quintessential HD.
This bike looks like a blast! Your dealership looks awesome and I can't wait to stop by and say hello when I'm on tour next spring!
We think it will be a blast! Please make sure to stop by. Let's get out on the Pan Americas and create some content as well!
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Sounds like a plan!!!
Very impressive new engine. Heard elsewhere Harley had closed their current Sportster factory.I’d definitely go for mids and that fairing off the Pan America . At 5’8 I think the ride height would suit me better.
Sportsters are still being produced in the US. The mid controls would make for an aggressive riding position...we like the way you're thinking about it. Thanks for tuning in.
maybe the second year of production and also when the aftermarket catches up with bags & windshields etc. great video by the way....dual discs would be nice.
T bars and exhaust and she’s all done. I’m getting one!
I NEVER wanted to own a Harley but ever since the came out with the newest Fat Bob, the the Pan American, and now the newest sportster! I am definitely interested! The liquid cooled and THE TORQUE is what does it for me! The only thing that stopped me from getting the Fat Bob was the price. I would like this newest sportster but the price is a bit more than what I want to pay for a bike.
Not a bad looking bike! It will be interesting to see what parts the customizers come up with. Those wrap around looking bumper rear
taillights are a total eyesore and should be mounted under the rear of the seat. Would also prefer a smaller size front tire, however, I hear
different models are still in the works too.
Everybody complained about the old sportster. Then everybody complains when they say they are making a better sportster to replace the old one that everybody complained about. Makes literally no sense.
That happens all the time lol, I like that they do that.
'No rice burner will pass my Harley "! sorry buddy now a Harley will pass your Harley.
Probably the same person that don't buy or support Harley-Davidson lmao
Finally ticking the box of different rider.I am NO brand loyalist by any means.Have big interest as second bike.Great job Harley
I'm glad they are changing things up a bit. But style wise, this new sporty would look right under the bum of a Star Treck Borg.
Not many shots from the left side of the bike to emphasize my point.
a 34-degree lean angle is so awesome! both sides too. I have an 01 FXDX and this bike might make me upgrade. I can't wait to see the test rides. 508lbs and that much power with such great suspension specs, it's looking like a real winner.
Totally agree!
Of course you do.@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690
A suzuki gsxr750 has a turn angle of 50plus degrees also has 150hp and weighs 420 pounds. That is a true sport bike
My first bike was a nightster, then a dyna low rider, and now a pan am. I was surprised at how top heavy the nightster was once I got my dyna. If this bike handles well then I think it will be great.
We're excited to try it out!
Take this engine, all the electronic goodies, cruise, dual disk fronts, a 4 gallon tank and make essentially a softail cruiser model.
Can't wait to get my hands on this bike
I’m itching for this thing. I recently sold my 18 sporty that had the 1275 kit on it. Now I have a Honda Monkey and a Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe in the stable. Got my name on the first white one to arrive in Central FloriDUH. I really tried to like the Milwaukee Eight but they just don’t speak to me. The new tech and cruise is huge for me and hopefully the Bluetooth will work well with my Ruroc Shockwave system.
Thanks for the overview 🤘
Right on! Let us know how you like it once it arrives.
Is the clutch light like Pan Am?
How does it handle curves in back country roads?
It's beautiful and the power specs put all three of my XR1200's to shame. Hoping they sell well and in that price range, they may very well be King of the Hill.
Love the XR1200s! Let us know what you think of the Sportster S in comparison once you get a chance to ride it.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Yes sir, will do. My niece still works at the York plant where all the Rev motor models now assembled and raves about the build quality. I think the XR's will stand the test of time. One of the most enjoyable and pleasant back road bombers i've ever owned.
Oh hell yeah !
Great job Harley 👍🏼
Rock on!
I'm not really a fan of the styling but I bet it feels great to ride... Glad to see a new engine, I wonder what others will have it
Heavy wheels, minimal seat, 2 inches of rear wheel travel, gigantic two can exhaust, single brake up front and not very good looking overall
Thanks for bringing Teton Harley into the age of today.
Our pleasure!
Nice bike... looks like they took the night rod and shrunk it and modernized it! Very nice concept wasn't sure how it was going to come out!
Glad you liked it!
2002 FLHRCI or death. Love these new Harley's that will bring in a new demographic of Harley riders.
I love the fact that Honda owns 33% of Showa suspension, makes the people who are HD brand loyalists a bit sad. Anyway, this is an interesting bike. Hope it does well, the Pan America is a nice bike with a great engine.
Great video
Curious to see what the other models of this will look like. Hoping for smaller front wheel option on it and maybe a classic headlight. Besides that I am pretty stoked
That's what customization is for. Make it your own.
@@karlhockenberry9130 I’m just curious to how soon after market parts will be available. Yes one could always custom fab stuff but not everybody can and I’m hoping this has a good amount of after market support
Yeah I agree I didn't mean it like it sounded bro my bad. Yeah after market will make a killing on this.
Damn I love it. Rumors were that Harley was dropping the Sportster , damn glad they didn't I am a die hard Sportster fan . I own a 2000 1200 Custom and it is so damn reliable , Bulitproof. I can't wait for the 1250 T in the Sportster S. And a 6 speed , I love it. I want one already.
We're glad the Sportster line is continuing too! Stay tuned for more information on this motorcycle once we get one on the showroom.
Finally Harley has got a fast stock bike! I love it! I really wanna test ride.
Well done Dude .
Thanks for the visit
Great overview, fantastic looking motorcycle!
Glad you liked it!
Cool bike! I will be looking for a full review.
Coming soon!
Great looking bike Harley did good.I wish I could see the other side of the bike.ive only seen the exhaust side .
Coming soon
Wait, so are they axing the 883?
Does it have a USB charger plug in like the Indian Scout?
Besides those pipes.. good looking bike..
I have not ridden my 2009 XR1200 much, (2792 miles, all stock), thinking about selling it, and NOW I SEE THIS!!! 70 years old, body doesn't fit ergonomics anymore, but this 1250S?
Nice bike except for that high level exhaust. Tank looks small and I hope that radiator has a guard. Look forward to a ride but will be keeping my 2001 Sportster 1200S. Where is it made?
US motorcycles will be made in the US.
That orange&white Pan America looks nice in the background☺
Thanks for noticing!
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 i hope all those carbon fiber craftsmen are looking at this bike right now
I wonder how my tighs can deal with the heat from a really close exhaust.
The exhaust is insulated. We'll put a full review up of the motorcycle once we get a change to ride it.
Is it any good for a 6.2 tall and a 265 pounds heavy rider?
wow ! as a Ktm superduke rider and a kawasaki super charger in my garage, i must say HD doing some great work! If i can compare it with triumph rocket 3 (new generation) this is thicks all the boxes. My god i cant believe i say this but i would actually test ride this harley and may be even buy it. I am assuming because the bike is low the centre gravity is quite good so i am assuming the bike handles quite good. Not too sure about single front brake and very small suspension travel but thats the part needs to be test ride. For my like i think the rear suspensions 2 inch travel is a little insane. Any potholes or bad roads you will get a smach on your ass, could potentialy hurt people with back problems, i am thinking the suspenision must be quite firm. Would have be a perfect bike if the suspension travel alittle more and double front brakes. But again it needs to ridden and find out.
why did Harley put the exhaust right at the top? what if you have passenger behind ? tigh burns out? routing both down and pointing both exhausts up look more agressive
502lb dry or wet weight?
Looks like harley is finally getting its act together, this semlems like a great competetor to the indian scout
We hope to be able to do a comparison. Based on the initial spec sheets we have, we expect the Sportster S to outperform the Indian.
Looks like a good copy of Indain bobber scout.
Its the challenger to Indian's new chief
From Malaysia looking forward to own one
Thinking my 48 is due for a trade in. I've always been in love with Night Rod Specials but I fit like a glove on the Sportster frame. This thing looks like the absolute perfect combination of both.
Good choice!
Litterly just purchased a 2021 sportster 883. Back in march. The bike looks nice but the exhaust looks funky. Wonder what vance and hine will produce for this.
keep that 2021!
@@USNVA-yn6cp will do dude!
We're sure they'll have something for it soon after its release.
Id love to ride one just to see how wildly different it is from my ironhead sporty.
Been riding Harleys since 1990, but bought an Indian FTR1200S earlier this year. The FTR is a great bike. Wondering if this bike will be enough to bring me back to Harley? I will likely take one for a spin when they reach my local dealership and see which one I like better.
Let's us know what you think once you've been able to compare the two.
Yeah im very curious about the comparison with the FTR...
Please let us know 🙏
Where you gonna put bags at?
Like the look and it's a Harley Davidson and interested in a sporty bike.
Switched to a LHS belt.
Vrod + FXDR + Fat Bob = Sportster S
I don’t agree. The difference is the same as it is between Mercedes e and Mercedes c class! I’m in favor of Fat Bob 👍
I love the new bike.. I might trade in my 883 for this one
Glad you like it! Thanks for tuning in.
Good idea to have the mid control option, I don't like forward controls and I'm 6'4"
We're glad there's a mid control option as well.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Yea, forward controls put ALL your weight on your butt and your arms always have to pull you into the wind, plus I feel more in control with mids and you can stand up when you see a pothole you can's avoid.
I'm really not a American bike guy. This bike though I'm interested. Get rid of the forward controls and some of the excess plastics around the exhaust and I think I would ride it.
Wish Harley had put money into the Vrod Bikes..I bought 3 but currently ride a 2014 fatbob...Id def lay the cash down for a new Vrod muscle
Not gonna lie, this bike looks awesome. I would ride it but I could never afford it.
The Sportster S is the best Harley Davidson that Harley Davidson has made I would seriously consider buying it.
We love the new Sportster S too! Once you put that thing in sport mode 🏍💨 phew better have a good hold on those handlebars because this thing goes!!🔥
Do you know when this is available in Europe
It's going to be available this fall in the US. We expect a similar launch timeframe in Europe.
It looks like a 48 crossed with a v rod.
Ike the bulldog stance. Wished the tank was bigger. At least 4 gallons
Never had a harley but with midsets its definitely a possibility
Who in the hell does Harley have designing their bike, Helen Keller?
It needed more time. Besides being disgustingly ugly, I think it's going to be a pretty poor ride.
@@_Meriwether all harleys are a poor ride, buckets of shite
@@mbal4052 I've ridden (I think) four H-D's, and I didn't like any of them more than my Vulcan S. I was disappointed, not even taking into account the pricepoint.
I can't justify paying "good car" money for a below average motorcycle.
This will be hitting some big power numbers in 12 months time.
Agreed! We expect there to be lots of performance options.
love the way it looks but I already bought a Harley once it's too expensive 1000 after you buy a bike to get the first oil change... Na I switched back to Honda
Looks like Fun
I guess the Mrs. will have to stay home with the one up seat??
Or are there different versions in the lineup. maybe in the near future??
They will be offering a passenger Pillion seat and back rest for the bike when it releases. It will be super exciting to see what else they do with this platform!
whats the max lean angle
34 degrees on both sides
They put the sport back in the sportster! I hope the kids like/buy them.
What age group are you meaning when saying "kids" like 35+? Lol
@@SooHighFashion This bike would be cool for even young 20s guys. Looks and power. And it's pretty cheap
@@jmhellison 15k cheap? Rofl
@@gobira26 Yes it's cheap. I could put $5k down and my payments would be $200 or so. Would pay it off in 1 year
@@jmhellison gonna agree with @Phill here lmao 15k it's not gonna be 15k out the door and we all know that, even if it was its still expensive as hell. Well he could do it but it wouldn't be financially smart. Most people my age and friends are still living at home with their parents. Plus there are so many alternatives to this bike that are cheaper. A brand new Yamaha mt09 SP is 10k. Go pick a used one up for really cheap too. Idk how old you are but no one my age could just put down 5k. I'm gonna guess you're over 40 years old. I'm not trying to be an asshole or talk down to ya by the way my dude

Nice!
Growing up in Daytona and watching the motorcycle races every Bike Week for more than 5 decades I will finally own a bike that looks like it just came off the racetrack. I have always loved the looks of the race bikes Harley has brought.
Pity it's so expensive in Australia. AUD $26,435. Get a Fat Bob with much better suspension travel which you really need on some of our roads.
They need to bring back the Bronx, that would be a sporty Harley
We suspect the Revolution Max engine will find its way into other yet to be announced models.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 if it’s not a Bronx or street fight like bike I’m not interested 🤷♂️

did they at least put a gas gauge on it ?
It's part of the digital instrument cluster.
I bought one. Fun bike.
Awesome right! Hope you have fun with your new bike!
I like it and hope it is a smash hit for Harley-Davidson. Unfortunately I am too broke and too big to ride one.
Is the engine really different? Both the pan american and the sportster s have 94ft-lbs but the sportster s Has less hp.
Probably just detuned a bit. Sportster S's peak power comes in earlier so it likely has a flatter curve, was probably intentional on their part.
At 500lbs wet, if they gear it right, thing is still going to absolutely fly. V-Rods rip, and this thing puts out the same power at 200lbs lighter.
It looks good and totally dash is nice. Still feel like it should be priced more around $13-14k. $15k is still high, not outrageous but just had higher hopes that Harley was listening to the people that WANT to buy their NEW BIKES.
It's 15k with the upgraded dash like this bike. I think it starts at 14k?
Try getting one of these for less than $20,000 out the door and you will still have 2 inches of rear wheel suspension travel, single brake disc up front, heavy wheels, tiny seat, no rear seat or pegs, ugly plate holder, giant ugly exhaust
How long till HD discontinuous it like they do all there performance oriented bikes
Betting you rarely get invited to any parties, Karen.
