- Police in Charleston, South Carolina, are investigating the death of John Barnett, a 62-year-old former Boeing employee-turned-whistleblower. The coroner says he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. It comes as the company faces growing pressure following a series of incidents and as the FAA has uncovered safety and quality concerns over the company's Max 737 jet production. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.

For an airline. That's downright frightening. They are responsible for thousands of human lives on a daily basis. Any failures at all are unacceptable.
You think that is bad, 12 out of 16 explosive devices were missed by TSA during an internal audit at Albany Airport.
But they did catch every single soda 🥤 people tried to get through, so that's a good thing.
BTW, that report from the TSA was super Top Secret and was leaked and Albany Airport was really angry about it.
They had 4 planes, ALL 4 FLIGHTS FROM UNITED / US AIR FALL APART ON THE RUNWAY BETWEEN 9AM AND NOON.
Luckily they fell apart before passengers boarded them.
That never even made it into a report
And they never refunded anyone's money
They said they were " delayed " and people stayed all day and we're forced out of the airport at midnight and the airlines said in the fine print it says if they delay a flight and you leave the airport you lose your rights
God I love the airlines

We as a people need to put an end to this when those in power won't. I'm never flying Boeing again after this and I fly a dozen times a year international. Stay safe and make right choices ❤
Actually some people need evidence before jumping to conclusions.
Pressure your airlines to replace their fleet with Airbus planes for long routes, and Embraer planes for shorter or regional routes.
As part of BRICS, India could probably get good deals on Embraer planes from Brazil. They are very reliable and comfortable, and could replace smaller Boeing planes.
Yeah, the coroner is saying it's a self inflicted gunshot wound....
Because HE doesn't want to be found with a "self-inflicted" gunshot wound. 🤫
Yep, this country is no different than Russia when it comes to a cover-up..and murder…
💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good point!
Yep we ALL say it was a "self" inflicted gun wound 😉
An autopsy should tell the whole story. I hope the family finds justice for this man.
And now a 2nd whistleblower found dead. How convenient!
This man, a good man, has given his life so as to benefit others. A warning for anyone thinking of becoming a whistleblower.
It's sad too because the world needs more whistleblowers.
This guy did not give his life. He was snuffed out by Boeing. They were mad he told the truth.
If everyone minded their own business there’d be no business
