"If you've never flinched at a bead seating, you need to be in the nitroglycerine business"...one of the funniest things i have heard in a while!! hahahahaha
guys you just saved me a trip to the tire shop, and what where the odds I also had some rocks in there, so I just took out the wheel of the cherokee and did it with the same xj just needed a jackstand to be safe.... this idea would never come to my mind by itself, thanks again guys!!!
You guys are hilarious! And hey thanks so much for the tips. I was thinking the same thing as 99% of the others, I don’t have a jack like that. How am I going to pop that tire off the rim? Then you gave us a workaround. I don’t know if I’ll ever run my tire over with a car but it made me giggle and say “that works”
Awesome video! I used a pair of 2x4s to break the bead seal on tires years back. Place the wheel on the ground next to something heavy (like your XJ). Stand a short (1-2 foot long) 2x4 up on bead, then use a real long 2x4 and your XJ for leverage to push the short 2x4 down into the bead. Hopefully that makes some sense. It's hard to explain in a comment but it actually works! Happy wrenching!
I don't have a high lift jak, so that little tip at the very end about running the tire over, just got you fellas 1 new like and 1 new subscriber. Thanks guys
Another tip is to apply Dawn (brand) dish soap around the tire bead, as it tries to dry it will thicken into a gluey like compostion and seal many of the small rim leaks.
Yes, we use it also as a lubricant to make installation easier, it must be between the rim and the tire. I have also used the fluorescent green Slime (brand) where some was used and then the tire positioned with the rim leak down and then driven/ridden around. This is especially useful in pitted steel agricultural rims that sit out in the rain for years.
To unseat the rim, more people have a bottle jack and that will work under a truck bumper or even under some cars. Driving up on the tire with a car might be hard and could damage the tire you're trying to unmount. Put a board across it making it into a ramp and it's easier to drive up onto and then the board presses down on the sidewall and you can control how much it compresses it (have someone tell you when to stop when it unseats). It's much safer and easier.
Whatever is the color of your neck, I prefer this to that RN guy that runs over the tire! Wonderful job and wonderful tip you guys & needless to say, you have a new subscriber with two thumbs-ups.
When you get two tire shops to show you with bubbles it's leaking around the wheel and none of there sealers work frustrating. Thinking about buying a whole new rim.
Great tip and Dave's idea works great too. The only thing I do different is smother black bead sealer all over - inflate the tire and immediately go out and buy some new clothes. LOL
Awesome tip!👍this is exactly how I dismounted my last set of swamped and also put a dent/scratch in my trucks tailgate ☹️but it's a truck.....wright?! There also a way too do it with a floor jack and 5gal bucket and your hit receiver. 🍻🍺🌭🍻🍺 cheers and thanks for all the fantastic shows.
One of my tires gets less pressure than the other three but it's losing the pressure slowly. After seeing your video, I realize I may not have a flat tire?
you could damage a tire sensor guys. a good shop will spend up to a half hour per rim cleaning aluminum rims when you buy tires. Take your car back to whoever mounted the tire.
didnt know wire brushing only is enough , thougt paint was needed like zink spray, will try this maybe . easy way .could try painting too with tire on. bead on wet or dry. once used putty for bead sealant gray thick not very silicony. worked well on vespa scooter wheel . and normal jack can be used two jacks under front side behind front wheel cos engine holds down one to hold car up near middle or behind, tire undercar side, jack foot on bead top under car on normal jack place.
It's actually not most of the time. You normally need to brush away the corrosion, and apply bead sealer. It's a tar like substance. Also, if you breaking the bead of the tire like this.. I would be careful not to have the valvestem in the same section you are breaking it like they did, usually most vehicles will have TPMS sensors there and they can easily break. And pleasse don't run over your tire with a vehicle to break the bead.. That could easily damage the sidewall of the tire...
That was such an awesome #*(@ing video! Straight and to the point! Great solution! THANK YOU!!!! You're a lifesaver - I have to do this for a snowblower tire
My mechanic charged me 100 bucks to do that to two tires. Rip-off or okay? I don't have the means to do it myself. Was done in October 2018 and now need it done again (I'm guessing, since I have to keep putting air in it every week or two).
I took my car in because of a slow leak. They said this was the issue, but I don't think they did anything about it, just said I need a new wheel. I'd be willing to bet there's a lot of corrosion in there. I don't have a way to do this myself though.
So how much would a tire shop charge to do something like this? I'm guessing It should be pretty cheap right? It should be something like $10-$15 to get this done. I'm selling some wheels that come with almost new tires and one tire has a very small leak at the bead, I noticed while washing them. And I would hate to sell them like that.
I have had personal experience about this. The truth is this method is ONLY a temporary fix. If it's leaking around the rim it meant that the rim is warped or has a split.
I posted a video a week ago, and one two weeks ago..... Hmm *rubs beard*.... Guess you didn't get notified. Also been posting a lot on the second channel. ua-cam.com/channels/5QvyPt4px5U2OQJFiGYHHA.htmlfeatured
I swear I saw green tire slime inside that wheel at 2:10. This stuff is highly corrosive to alloy wheels. If it still leaks after your procedure, try using bead sealer on the rim. And NEVER use slime on road going stuff.
My usual method is to remove one of the front wheels and lower the brake disc down onto the tyre. If you have a small car you pretty much _have_ to use the front disc, as the back of the car is far too light to break the seal. Or I suppose you could load up the boot (trunk) of the car with heavy things.
My jeep leaked for a 2 frickin years, till last week I jacked up the car and took the tire to a tire shop costed me like 5 bucks LOL, if only this video was a week earlier.
Try' 150 psi. Occasionally we blow a tyre, just connect the airline direct away from you on a mat and unplug it from the wall when it pops on' a lot safer than on the machine.
I know nothing about cars, I never even owned a car. But I think you guys are very sympathic and funny! I will share you video with guys who own cars :D. (saw you first at the Nearly viral stream)
Public service announcement, all Jack's are dangerous, most notorious are high lift Jack's, especially if you're unfamiliar with them and your vehicles lift points, also it should go without saying putting the weight of your vehicle on a bouncing flat tire while straddling and jumping on it makes about as much sense as Pabst blue ribbon.
Hell yea boy, bead sealer is the tits.. hell back when i was just a little fuck up i found a gallon of that stuff and ended up spilling a little on the hood so i just went ahead and painted the whole damn car in bead sealer.. looked cooler than shit.. like a rubber matte black.. for the first few weeks then it turned into some kinda warty infected lookin
great video on how to reseat a bead! and proof that the combination of beer and hollywood are making people think they need to act like dum and dummer to look cool. the video was cool without the nonsense! but i guise if stupid sells video likes. Than stupid is as stupid does!
"If you've never flinched at a bead seating, you need to be in the nitroglycerine business"...one of the funniest things i have heard in a while!! hahahahaha
My dear old Dad used to run over the tire with his truck just like you guys showed a long time ago. Thanks for bringing back this old memory.
Oh Wow!
Cool. Cheers!!
guys you just saved me a trip to the tire shop, and what where the odds I also had some rocks in there, so I just took out the wheel of the cherokee and did it with the same xj just needed a jackstand to be safe.... this idea would never come to my mind by itself, thanks again guys!!!
AWESOME!
Just in the nick of time!!
Cheers!
Possibly the most entertaining DIY content I’ve ever seen.
You guys are hilarious! And hey thanks so much for the tips. I was thinking the same thing as 99% of the others, I don’t have a jack like that. How am I going to pop that tire off the rim? PBR - been my go-to beer for ages!
Probably the most entertaining UA-cam clip I've seen in a while. 🙂
Learned something new...again and for that I thank you both! Cheers
Cheers!
Glad to hear it.

Does make sense.
Cheers!!
Makes perfect sense to me. This is the technique that I will be trying first. Thanks.
Saved me $25+ and a trip to the shop. Tons of corrosion. Five minutes with a wire brush and all's well. Thanks!
Awesome Bud. Glad to help!
Cheers!!
I like the idea of using the jack to brake the bead seal. good job guys
"I dont have any moneyyyy...but i own a high lift jack" lmao this really wasnt the most helpful.
My thoughts exactly
I dont have any money, but I do own a high lift jack. But I don't own an air compressor.
Lol
I don't have a high lift jak, so that little tip at the very end about running the tire over, just got you fellas 1 new like and 1 new subscriber. Thanks guys
Another tip is to apply Dawn (brand) dish soap around the tire bead, as it tries to dry it will thicken into a gluey like compostion and seal many of the small rim leaks.
Papa Jon do you need to break the bead seal?
Yes, we use it also as a lubricant to make installation easier, it must be between the rim and the tire. I have also used the fluorescent green Slime (brand) where some was used and then the tire positioned with the rim leak down and then driven/ridden around. This is especially useful in pitted steel agricultural rims that sit out in the rain for years.
Thanks guys and love the farm jack tip, I was using a car scissor jack but like your idea better 😀
Great free tip, and all you need is a $500 shop compressor.
Buy a 20 dollar mini one from walmart. Itll take 20 mins to fill the tire from flat, but its better than nothing
It's much safer and easier.
yup
you're right
i agree, ive done that many times and stopped using that method once i damaged my fender when the tire flipped upwards.
when it unseats itself how do u reseat it ? do u have to do anything or just fill it up and it seats itself ect
I just watched The Magnificent Seven and your character was a badass! Good job Tommy!
Hahahahahaha
Great tip and Dave's idea works great too. The only thing I do different is smother black bead sealer all over - inflate the tire and immediately go out and buy some new clothes. LOL
Spent enough time in the Dog House thanks.....
This was so funny to watch. Very entertaining.
Awesome tip guys. I may not have a high lift jack, yet. But I will consider running over a tire next time. LoL
Right on!
Cheers!!
But what if rocks aren’t your problem and you need to actually seal the bead? How and with what recommended product?
Spot on boys' just break the bead away from the valve first (you knew that) if their old they will tear.
Easier to show a mistake than to explain it, we'v learned.
Cheers!
Neat tip guys. Those high lift jacks are handy for sure. Love the videos!
Cheers!
The High Lift was my B-Day gift from Tommy last year.
Thoughtful dude he is!
Absolute brilliance.
a mans gota do what a mans gota do good job guys thats the way we used to do it on the farm as well
It's an oldie but a goodie!
Cool. I think this just might be the answer to my leaky tire problem. Thanks for sharing.
Ok the guy has no money to get it fixed but he has access to professional tools. 🧐🙄 right.
Maybe that's why he doesn't have any money, spent it all on the tools! 😂
Good tip, I remember an Uncle of mine doing this all the time...I thought it was so cool the first time I saw it
Same here actually.
Great video dudes
Awesome tip!👍this is exactly how I dismounted my last set of swamped and also put a dent/scratch in my trucks tailgate ☹️but it's a truck.....wright?! There also a way too do it with a floor jack and 5gal bucket and your hit receiver. 🍻🍺🌭🍻🍺 cheers and thanks for all the fantastic shows.
Ahhhh hahahaha
That's a choice idea!!
Cheers!!
Here is a way to fix a valve stem leak yourself without taking the tire off: ua-cam.com/video/WGFSZ8J0YXo/v-deo.html
My tire start doing the same crap I used some of that foam but still the same.
Thanks for the info
Check valve stem cores if ur beads not leaking i just checked mine they are leaking
Good info, thanks guys.
Always trying.
You have my bead seal of approval.
Ba dum.... Tshhhhhhh....
One of my tires gets less pressure than the other three but it's losing the pressure slowly. After seeing your video, I realize I may not have a flat tire?
what if you dont have another car? 😂 and no im not gonna ask someone to run over my tyre
Jack your car up and lower the wheel onto the tire
Just carry a tire hammer with you. Better than a car to run over it or a giant jack. Both of those seem pretty dumb to me lol
you could damage a tire sensor guys.
a good shop will spend up to a half hour per rim cleaning aluminum
rims when you buy tires. Take your car back to whoever mounted the tire.
The Jack is good but, running it over with a van is so RIGHT!
Cool beans! I hope mine don't leak.
For sure Bud!
You can use a regular jack to the same thing.
Did you grind a wedge on the front lip of your farm jack foot?
didnt know wire brushing only is enough , thougt paint was needed like zink spray, will try this maybe . easy way .could try painting too with tire on. bead on wet or dry. once used putty for bead sealant gray thick not very silicony. worked well on vespa scooter wheel . and normal jack can be used two jacks under front side behind front wheel cos engine holds down one to hold car up near middle or behind, tire undercar side, jack foot on bead top under car on normal jack place.

I literally just got 2 new tires this week and they are both going down. (Angry face)
same dawg
That was such an awesome #*(@ing video! Straight and to the point! Great solution! THANK YOU!!!! You're a lifesaver - I have to do this for a snowblower tire
ok but how do you do this without that jack thing
I think I'll just stick to filling up my tire... Winter is coming
what if you don't have another car?
So useful I subscribed
My mechanic charged me 100 bucks to do that to two tires. Rip-off or okay? I don't have the means to do it myself. Was done in October 2018 and now need it done again (I'm guessing, since I have to keep putting air in it every week or two).
What if your tire doesn't seat until 85 psi? Not safe
I have a question, should we be concerned about any soap or rust that gets inside the tire or does it not matter when you clean the bead?
Small amounts won't matter but I would try to keep water or large amounts of debris out
Hahahahaha that was supposed to be swampers 😜😋🍺🍻 cheers
Great tip! Thx Guys
Yeah Bud!
Cheers!!
Your own, or a different vehicle jack can also work well.
When are you gonna do a lift video or a death wobble vid for the jeep? I really want a jeep XJ now because of these videos and ones like them
We're working on a few things that will all tie together with a final one on that..
I took my car in because of a slow leak. They said this was the issue, but I don't think they did anything about it, just said I need a new wheel. I'd be willing to bet there's a lot of corrosion in there. I don't have a way to do this myself though.

feel like a Pabst now...
Hahahah got mee as soon as you said flinch nd im high 😂😂
that's awesome using farm jack but how come you guys never use the tire seal to seal the rim?
what if it's not rocks that cause it and it's the rim bent ? Glue ect ?
Time for a new rim.
Bead Sealer Xtra Seal at any auto store
yalls videos are fucking awsome and helpful!!!
Cheers Bud!!
I have had personal experience about this. The truth is this method is ONLY a temporary fix. If it's leaking around the rim it meant that the rim is warped or has a split.
you guys are great how do you not have your own tv show
Great info, Where are you guys , 4 MOS ?
I posted a video a week ago, and one two weeks ago..... Hmm *rubs beard*.... Guess you didn't get notified.
Also been posting a lot on the second channel.
ua-cam.com/channels/5QvyPt4px5U2OQJFiGYHHA.htmlfeatured
You can do it at home, if it happen you have a garage :D
No money no farm jack!
I swear I saw green tire slime inside that wheel at 2:10. This stuff is highly corrosive to alloy wheels. If it still leaks after your procedure, try using bead sealer on the rim. And NEVER use slime on road going stuff.
it did look like that, but it was a sticker from the manufacturer.
I would never use that stuff..... yuck

Awe Snap!
We are working hard to get these videos out in time.
Next one fore sure
no worries my dude I appreciate your hard work
Cheers Bud!!
Try having 90psi in the tire seating beads on custom wheels.
Try' 150 psi. Occasionally we blow a tyre, just connect the airline direct away from you on a mat and unplug it from the wall when it pops on' a lot safer than on the machine.
I get nervous around split rims the most....
Doesn't everyone?
Lukeozdigger We'd hope....
Luckily I never had to deal with those.
I'm glad someone else has to use a hammer to flip that level to the down position.
Don't wanna get your fingers in there, or anything else.....
nice boys!
So I’ve got a bye a Jack& a jeep 🫣
I know nothing about cars, I never even owned a car. But I think you guys are very sympathic and funny! I will share you video with guys who own cars :D. (saw you first at the Nearly viral stream)
Thanks
great job guys keep teaching us .lol
Cheers!
You both crack me up!
おもしろいだ!

Guys but this is a temporary solution. It gets back after 3 months
We got 4 used tires and they all leak. We have to pump them every other day :(
I take it to get fixed.
You think drinking makes you cool, but it just makes you stupid. *sips his own beer*
Got all the nice wheels and expensive car but can't afford to fix a tire at the garage !
Great Job :)
Man i was hoping i could just spray some flex seal around that shit 😭 my car wont even jack up
Good vid
What if your tire is low profile 😭😭😭
Hell yea boy, bead sealer is the tits.. hell back when i was just a little fuck up i found a gallon of that stuff and ended up spilling a little on the hood so i just went ahead and painted the whole damn car in bead sealer.. looked cooler than shit.. like a rubber matte black.. for the first few weeks then it turned into some kinda warty infected lookin

Still if no jack how to run own tire over then....
great tip guys, thanks for sharing!
