This video is wrong in a few ways. Let me clarify: Elon's lifestyle is like this to meet deadlines. Compare that with a student at the end of his semester doing assignments and exams. He may sleep less, drink lots of coffee and eat bad food. But that's because he has deadlines to meet and work to do. Here the work is primary and is negatively affecting his daily routine and lifestyle. If you try to copy that students lifestyle (read: less sleep, more coffee and bad food) without the 100-hour work week, it doesn't make sense because that's a consequence of his hard work not that it's the reason his life is improving. He's needing coffee to stay awake and work (you're just chugging coffee when you don't need to), he's sleeping less because he has no time and he's eating sh*t food because he probably has no time to cook. I hope I could make my point. One edit: I would start with 100 hour work weeks and see where that takes you and what that requires.
You did it wrong. What your friend meant was for you to do whatever you want and not care too much, to live life without a schedule and to do things that give you pleasure without feeling guilty. Not throw in coffee until you get sick like it was some kind of experiment.
@@AndrewKirbys On a sidenote: Great video as usual, and again another golden nugget at the end. Elon is always glorified but how we choose our ideals is something to always consider.

Elon chose to 'save humanity' in his life and many parts of his life probably don't match up that well with most people. I do however try to think of the person behind all the craziness in his life and watching this video, I wondered how much of a good role model he really is? You should simply decide who you want to be and aim, single-minded at that (can't wait for Jordan Peterson's new book). A lot of Elon's life seems to be strongly characterised by pain: his tough childhood, moving to America and becoming a billionaire, the 2008 financial crisis, multiple divorces, 3 rocket explosions threatening to end his life's work, the list of insanity is endless. And as Elon said on the Joe Rogan podcast, "I'm not sure a lot of people would want to be me." This was a really interesting video, not what I expected when clicking on it after last week. It was kind of a lesson on role models and choosing what to aim for in life. Last week's video was really useful though - keep it up. 😎🐳

It’s not the morning routine of Elon Musk that provocked is successfull. It’s the 14 hours of working after is morning routine. (Sorry for my english, i am french)
Elon is very intentional with everything he does. He wants to change the world! To do that you can’t sleep 10 hours per day, you must dedicate your time and energy to all the things you want to accomplish. His accomplishment will take a normal person two life times if not three! He knows that so he puts three things mes the work on all his projects. I think he is god gifted, he was put here on earth to help humanity. He will accomplish things that no one will for the next 100 years.
I always assumed his morning and life schedule is a by product of his work. He doesn't fit work into his life, he fits in life wherever he can around his extremely busy day. No need to mimick another man's Las resort.

Counter-intuitive. In-taking excessive caffeine is just a lifestyle choice same as eating beef versus eating chicken won't rewire your brain for the better. There is simply no way you can think like him unless you have his brain his lifestyle is simply a manifestation of how he thinks which you will never achieve.
You need to try out different things and see what works for you. Most of us are pretty different and what works for someone else doesn't mean it's going to work out for me. Experimentation and trying to grow is the way to go.
Well, from my engineering background, I admire Elon Musk. But from my view of world, I do know like being all chaotic and stuff. And I'm sure that he didn't achieve all these shit from being chaotic. His schedule seems chaotic for us and maybe the things he does has the healing power to himself? Like, as an artist I currently love creating. Engineering didn't do that for me. That's why I left. I think you maybe went into this with the wrong mindset. It is not that Elon treats himself like shit, if not that he has a goal that is a bigger priority and misión even bigger than his own well being and he gives everything he got in this. Is Elon a broken man? Of course he is. Terrible things have happened to him. He is an extraordinary person, yes, but that makes living an ordinary life difficult for him. He has an immense amount of pressure and expectation put on him. When there is a great problem in the world people think, “Elon can fix that.” But Elon is just a man. Even Superman found this pressure too great.
Whether or not we look up to him depends on what our goals are. If our goals are to fully protect our personal well being AND accomplish things, I bet you accomplish less than Elon has. There is a reason Elon has accomplished orders of magnitude more than everyone who will view, and comment on this video.
Doing the same shit over and over again is what drives people to insanity, depression , boredom , anxiety , etc being able to experience so many things so often would feel like a drug
Oh when i think about Elon's routine i think about the clip you've put at the end. I think most of what he's doing is good but he seems not to have balance. And I used to go on coffee, but have started researching and turns out it makes you more stressed, which makes sense because it's making your adrenaline go off. I kinda think, and this is my opinion, not a fact, i think that elon is a man with good qualities, but he is taking himself to the extremes of all of them because he isn't very happy, is very apprehensive and i think the overworking is a big coping mechanism. I do admire him a lot but sometimes I just can't help but worry a bit, especially because he really does seem unhappy as a human being, kinda empty when people relations are in question. Maybe I'm wrong tho, but i was brought down by people so many times that I've spent some time of my isolated and was wondering why am i so unhappy no matter what i do, and coincidentally i was finishing naruto at that time and it made me realise a lot. I haven't learned to "human" and i wanted to learn, so I'm getting better at it, feeling more content and less worried when around people. So it is a skill. But also most of the time, because no one cares about the stuff that i care about, it makes me feel alone and misunderstood... So I can't imagine how he feels because he sure is misunderstood, and working like that sure does cut the time you spend socializing and sharing the part of you with others. And him speaking about love very often, it's obvious that he is longing for it... Idk that's what I've been able to conclude from all that i know, maybe I've rambled but it happens
What's the purpose of trying out the bad/random habits of successful people? Just cry to craft an upper-level vision for yourself and pursue it at all costs. That's it. These routines have nothing to do with all that.

what sleep tracking ring do you wear?

but it all seemed too intentional, like it wasnt the way he thinks about things?? I dont think elon musk 'drinks like shit' to purposefully make it a routine or a thing he plans into his day. I think he focuses on working then crams all that right at the end. The ramble about intentionality is kinda confusing to me. But I am liking your ideas and where they came from! Your videos are always interesting and can be eye openers :D
It doesnt matter what routine you choose if you have not things to accomplish beside doing video about daily routines
a simple tip : improve your filmaking skills
