Sublimation has quickly become one of my favorite crafting methods, with its vibrant, permanent results. It’s always fun to try a new technique or tool, and today we’ll incorporate both into a new sublimation project. Today, I’ll to show you how to sublimate pens! I do a lot of sublimation.
When wrapping the paper around your project, place a piece of tape on one end, the one that will overlap.
As you roll the item you’re wrapping the tape will grab as it goes around with the paper and help you hold the paper in place as you finish taping with additional pieces of tape.
I do tumblers … lots of tumblers. This method makes wrapping them easy. I’ve not subbed pens, but a roll is a roll.

Hi there! What were your settings for the PYD Life sublimation oven?
I sublimated my pen barrels at 370 degrees Fahrenheit or 132 degrees Celsius - but your pens may have different recommended settings. jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-pens/
Can you use the Infusable ink sheets from cricut for this process?
Yes, Cricut Infusible Ink sheets are sublimation.
Can you do the pens in the tumbler press?
I do not know of a tumbler press that would be able to wrap around a pen.
I want to buy the Pinch Perfect Pen Tool but it doesn't seem to be available for us poor old UK people. I can find it on American sellers' pages, but the cost of postage is a bit much for me to afford. Does anyone know if there is anywhere in the UK where I can get one from? Thanks in (hopeful) anticipation xxx

You set your phone in the gap of the clicker on the pen. The phone usually fits without being in its case, well at least for my phone. The phone sat perfectly horizontally, and now you are hands-free.

Doesn't a pen barrel melt in the oven or air fryer? How can we determine if a pen is compatible with sublimation and heat transfer?

Jennifer, Great Video but what I'm having a problem is that my Hamilton Convection Oven on Airfry at 370 for 5 mins tend to burnt off the shrink wrap. I stopped it at 3.5 mins. and then it's to hard to remove the wrapping. What am I doing wrong?

Temperature Control:

Temperature and Time Adjustment:
Reduce the temperature: Try lowering the temperature to prevent the shrink wrap from burning. You might want to experiment with temperatures lower than 370°F.
Adjust the time: Experiment with reducing the overall heating time. Sometimes, a shorter exposure time can prevent burning.
Preheat the Oven:
Ensure that the oven is properly preheated before placing the sublimation pens inside. Preheating helps to stabilize the temperature and ensures even heat distribution.
Test with a Sample:
Before sublimating a large batch of pens, test the process with a single pen or a small number of pens to see how they react to the heat and adjust your settings accordingly.
Quality of Shrink Wrap:
Ensure that the shrink wrap you are using is suitable for sublimation. Some materials may have different heat tolerance levels. Consider using shrink wrap specifically designed for sublimation processes.
Cooling Period:
Allow the sublimated pens to cool properly before attempting to remove the shrink wrap. This might make it easier to remove the wrapping without causing damage.

I don't have an air fryer. How can I do this with a heat press?
That would be a challenge. I have not attempted it but give it a try if you want to experiment.

Converted Printers clogged for me and stopped working. I tried everything. Nothing worked to make it work again.
Is yours a real Epson Sublimation printer or converted? It was such a waste of money. Worked for a while then died....Too Clogged ❤❤❤
