Knox's 8th does not exclude methods that would exist within the realm of common knowledge, such as "pills and liquor can kill you when combined". Also, it has been shown that several Ushiromiyas enjoy drinking. Given the sheer size of the mansion, and the fact that they have a wine cellar, alcohol is surely plentiful.
"anata no kotae subete okashite ageru," in my opinion, would more accurately be translated as "I will defile/violate your answer." Considering the title and the language used in the game translation, it just fits Erika more IMO.
See, the funny thing is that it was definitely intentional once you look at the kanji. This line is written 「貴方の答えは全て壊して(おかして)あげる」so it's written as "break" but read as "violate". Very fitting for Erika lol
Awesome!! I had to listen to both versions practically line by line to hear it but wow. It really is the same lyric o.o I used to like Ver X more but C grew on me with time. I think I like this one more now too ^^"
When she say "Devil's Proof is the only truth", i think it's ironic because she say "red truth is the only truth" many times in the VN, but the red truth is not compatible with the Devil's Proof, and don't forget Knox, who erase the Devil's Proof
***** I dont get your answer. It was non-fantasy vs fantasy before, but it was always meant to be fantasy vs. mystery, where duct tape is ok. berkastel and erika just played it the way it was intended to be played because they were more competent XD
This version is sooooo damn good. I don't like X much, but C is just wonderful. The way it starts so slowly, almost gently, while still having cold and cruel lyrics... until the chorus, where Erika truly reveals how maniacal she is and even the music adapts to it. A carefully composed song for sure that perfectly depicts her personality.
In addition, the Knox's Decalogue of the game world is adapted from the rules of real-world Ronald A. Knox (Dlanor, get it?), who used them to set out the hallmarks of a good mystery story. Your reading of Knox's First is correct, but it can't conflict with Knox's Eighth- and Knox's Eighth requires in both versions that all clues be presented: both to the reader and the detective. Knox's Second as originally stated "rules out all supernatural agencies as a matter of course".
Without those rules, you get in the anti-fantasy realm. If there is a preferred solution for the story I think it would be a mystery. Notice how Knox's rules were in red, so they apply as told (not Knox's 5)
Your blue is weak! This is Japan in the 80s. Pharmacies still made most of their drugs on-site back then, and Nanjo could easily do the same. Furthermore, given that Krauss, Natsuhi, Jessica, and Kinzo lived there full-time, Rokkenjima was probably VERY well-stocked with every kind of alcohol imaginable (a fondness for booze has been shown to run in the family).
I have a number of questions about this series even after all this time: Which is the true reality, because wasn't the Legend of the Golden Witch the original reality, why is the one with Kyrie and Rudolf killing everyone considered the truth? How was Battler in the meta-world and in the real world at the same time? How do Gaap and Ronove and the Seven Sisters of Purgatory form? How does Sayo gain magic powers, if she even does? Are Shannon and Kanon separate people or alternate personalities of the same person, are they ever seen in the same room together? Was Eva the killer in Legend of the Golden Witch or Sayo Yasuda? Does Ange ever accept the truth of the Rokkenjima Massacre? How does Battler encounter Ange in the chapel when Bernkastel dismembered Ange after showing her the truth of the massacre?
If you had these questions after a long time, I figure you probably still don't have the answers. 1. Legend of the Golden Witch is the first forgery Sayo wrote, it never happened (Episode 8) 2. The meta-world is a form of narration, it doesn't actually "happen." It's the playground of concepts. (Episode 4, Episode 5 tea-party, Episode 8) 3. Sayo's imagination, or anyone else who is sufficiently creative (Episode 4, Episode 7). 4. She doesn't. Episode 4 and 5 are very explicit that in the prime world, magic isn't materially real. 5. They are different aspects of Sayo. Shannon is the perfect self she wanted to be as a maid. Kanon is the boy-self she shunted off her negative emotions onto. They're masks, Sayo isn't actually either of them. They're never in the same room together in any non-fantasy scene. 6. In Legend of the Golden Witch, Sayo's accomplices are Nanjo and Genji. In the accomplice roulette, she chooses Eva and Hideyoshi, who she then murders on the second twilight. (Episode 7) 7. There are two endings in Episode 8. The canonical one is that she accepts the truth, but also that the truth doesn't matter because her family were more than the forgeries and what people thought of them, but were people who, despite being troubled, had love in their hearts. (Episode 8) 8. The meta-world isn't real, it's again a form of narration. Also Ange is dismembered at the end of Episode 4, not during the Episode 7 Witch's Tea Party, which is when Willard and Lion get attacked by Bern.
This version is the best as per me. Shugo Shadow very nice video. But the english sub of this song is a little bit frightening for me. Though, all of this also it's a good song and put some videos more like this. 😄😀😁😊
Erika would make a great Wonder Woman villian it could be an interesting story of cruel/vindictive truth versus kind/calming truth. They both want to reveal the true history of something and have extremely different methods of going about it.
I reached the conclusion that she talks about before the Rokkenjima incident. Back then she couldn't destroy the devil's proof with a red truth, and all the Knox rules don't apply.
Haruna: It is from Chiru which is sadly not in Anime form yet (can not wait). I recommend downloading the VN from mangagamer where the game is in store for download and then downloading the English patch from witchhunters. PM me if you want direct links to the sites in queston in case you find it hard to find. Anyway, I still recommend reading the VN as that goes into far deeper detail about some things that is barely mentioned in the Anime that messes up things quite badly. Otherwise there is the Manga. Search for Umineko Episode 5 and you should come to the first "game" not covered in the anime.
Hmm...let's see. Knox 8th - doesn't rule out the possibility that there are other clues there - and as such the final answer will be missing vital information. Knox's 4th - you can bypass this rule by using drugs by using drugs and methods the reader can know instead of the characters. Knox's 2nd - doesn't rule out the existence of supernatural agencies. Knox's 1st - if the killer was in disguise to begin with - they can bypass this rule.
As a result of the Decalogues being bent this way - false truths can still exist due to vital information being missing or hidden in plain sight and as a result the Devil's Proof can still exist - even if the Decalogues are used.
Knox 8th You cannot solve the case with clues not presented. You do not know that the Island has a well stock with Alcohol, or have proof that Nanjo made medicine on site as it was not shown in the story. Also where was it shown that Rosa was able to mix her sedatives with the drink. No clues are present that Rosa drunk anything more than Tea brought in by the servants. This level of reasoning is possible for Furudo Erika. ......What do you think, everyone?
Nice counter. ;) But where's your proof for any of that - I mean for example, where in Umineko is it explicitly stated that any clues not presented on the gameboard, do not exist?

How does Battler encounter Ange in the chapel when Bernkastel dismembered Ange after showing her the truth of the massacre?
If you had these questions after a long time, I figure you probably still don't have the answers.

Otherwise there is the Manga. Search for Umineko Episode 5 and you should come to the first "game" not covered in the anime.
well she is very open about it
Simply by the existence of gunpowder, tiny edible bombs are conceivable!
The pain, the desperation in the voice, fuck. Erica is the best girl andnothing you say will convince me oterwise
BECAUSE DEVIL'S PROOF IS THE ONLY TRUTH
Why does the name have to be "rapist", it makes my search history looks... questionable.
this level of reasoning is possible for Erika Furudo, what do you think everyone?
Muh girl Erika.
As a result of the Decalogues being bent this way - false truths can still exist due to vital information being missing or hidden in plain sight and as a result the Devil's Proof can still exist - even if the Decalogues are used.
so badass...
lol, will look into this anime.
Erika? Why are people saying you're best girl?
Because she is
my favorite manga and second best character
I'm pretty sure that was sarcastic, She wanted to get rid of the Devil's proof
uunknown uunknown That's... because in the novel she refers to herself as such xD. And it's true so no one questions it XD
This is pretty Touhou.
Links now in description.
somebody REALLY should put me on umineko
I thought the singer is Yukari Tamura at first. It resembles her voice that much.
creo que escribire la letra, es genial.
Well, if you get rid of the Devil's Proof using Knox's Decalogue - how can the Devil's Proof be the only truth when it's been eliminated?
Wait... Where is this from? I really don't remember this playing in the VN
underdog353777I think its Ougon Musou Kyoku Cross
Kylec0pezTR From the Rokkenjima Yakai album actually.
Nice counter. ;)
But where's your proof for any of that - I mean for example, where in Umineko is it explicitly stated that any clues not presented on the gameboard, do not exist?
there is a map of this song in !Osu?
It covers first 4 EPs very poorly. I think it covered about 30% of actual games. Thats why i couldn't understand it until i read a VN.
When the rat can sing
there should be a spin off/sidestory about the goat's.
I think there is one about a goat butler setting off all the standard death event flags before he goes into battle against Krauss.
The reader are presented as goat's in the story.
can you give a link for the pic?
I am confused. I'm going back to TF2 Gmod.
What is this song title
wat anime is this I want to know the name of it
"umineko no naku koro ni." the manga goes farther in the story then the anime, so id read that instead. but the anime is still good.
do not watch the anime, the anime was a mistake.
the manga and visual novel, however, are amazing.
i didnt think the anime was that bad. now the tokyo ghoul anime, that was a mistake.
Neither were bad as standalones. Gotta hop on that bandwagon though, just to hate them! Make sure you look good on the internet.
Hai Hai no the anime was just pretty bad when compared to the VN and manga. get off the edge train
What anime is this from?
Did you find it
@@backup4348 I think it was Umenecko the video game (though they might have an anime adaption too)
What the fuck kind of song title is that?!
It's what the character it's about proclaims herself to be. She's, eh, not all that nice.
*Reads title*
H-hot
Then why aren't ewe bleating?
The level of reasoning possible for Furudo Erika is... INFERIOR.
Why is this named "Intellectual Rapist" WTF, and why isn't a question like this even seen on this page.
Her whole thing is mind fucking people. She is extremely smart and she is a sadist so she uses her mind and words to completely crush people. She is completely evil and she enjoys every second of it.
I hate the lyrics, but the tune is pretty nice
