- From Rokkenjima Yakai. Claire's image song. The last few lines are a really, REALLY bad spoiler for the end of EP8. Turn on captions to view the subtitles - there's a track for english, romaji, and kanji. The kanji is official from the website of the album.
Here is a link to the translation/romaji/kanji: notatranslator....

"plunges into the dark depths of hell" - The world "naraku" (hell) can also apparently mean the theater basement, but the next few lines make it obvious what the song is really talking about there...
"That plunges into the dark depths of hell." has a double meaning as, in addition to "hell", "naraku" can also refers to the trap room under the stage of some theaters. This song is pretty neat.
The lyrics alone evoke such powerful imagery...
Beautiful song!
This song is beautiful. Thank you for putting it up.
Holy crap, you weren't kidding when you said the last lines are a MASSIVE spoiler. Jesus H., that's morbid.
Awesome Der Vorleser Episode 8 English Sub Video.
I am one, yet many...
CLAIR WTF
THOSE LAST LINES
AAAARRGH
Thanks, that's gonna help a lot ^_^
I don't know how I managed to miss that site when I was looking for kanji...
"This is my exit, but still, I cannot sing the truth." Are we sure this isn't Ryukishi07's image song?
It's not. It's Bern's. Or maybe this also is.
all yasu wanted was to read and read and keep reading. The ushiomiyas were cruel
even as they all pierced and slashed her apart, she still refuses to really explain the truth. How funsad kichichichichi
Clair is neither Sayo Yasuda, nor Beato. Some kind of twisted Beatrice-piece in anti-fantasy body.
@@blandon93 Which visual novel were you reading? Clair is Sayo's piece.
"Reader" is an accurate but a little insufficient translation of Vorleser. A Vorleser is not just someone who reads a book, it's someone who reads a book //to other people//. Not sure if there is an English equivalent word for that though.
I believe Storyteller/Soothsayer would be the most apt description.
Narrator, I would say
It's not the same. A Vorleser is really just someone who reads out aloud to someone else. There are two differences between Vorleser and storyteller: 1) the Vorleser MUST have a text/book in front of him 2) the Vorleser doesn't have to know the text. That's not the same for a storyteller. Storyteller in German would be Geschichtenerzähler or Märchenerzähler. I don't believe it has an equivalent in English. Narrator is also not the same.
Lia W Ah, okay then. Yeah there just isn't really an English equivalent then, or at least, none that I can immediately think of.
Honestly it seems to be an act of parroting but while the underlying implications might fit it just doesn't sound as good.
I love this song !T T
it's 11 years pass, , rarely watch anime now but I still love this song :)
So in the end...Battler also was there.
Funny thing, this song translates as "for the reader" from German to English. Der is the more masculine "the", but German people generally don't care if you use it the right way. Die is feminine, and das is neutral.
I kept forgetting to do that...there's a link in the description now. But it's on pixiv, so you'll need an account to get the full sized version. It's a really big image, 2480×3507 pixels.
Der Vorleser doen't neccessary mean The reader, it literaly means 'someone who reads aloud' (vor leser = for reader)
I dont get it. Vorleser means "someone who reads aloud to someone else. " whats this with "vorleser=for reader"? vor is not for in English...
maybe, then, ‘storyteller’ or ‘narrator’ would be a better translation?
Lia W In this case the "vor" in "Vorleser" woule be like "reading in front". I am German, so I know what I'm saying 😅
PsychOtakuDust sorry, sorry, i was just suggesting. i didnt mean to imply anything rude...
Emily Rose I am sorry, if I sounded rude! 😨 I didn't mean to...
Your suggestion is quite good, yet a narrator/storyteller is someone who knows a story by heart, while a "Vorleser" needs a book from which he/she can read from aloud.
Peak...
Ugh, me and my reading comprehension.
So wait, is the "audience" Battler?
Or, maybe, Willard.
Who also is a personification of Battler since in the talk about mistery Dlanor's and Willard's point of view was the same of Yasu and Battler.
The "audience" could also be Ange or the public
late reply but the audience is the world. but the most important one among them is battler imo
Done ~
oh.
can I use your translate to a transleta in spanish?????
I now speak inglish 50/50, and your translate is very good!!!
Ironically, Claire's theme goes against shkanontrice. Explaining pretty much how Claire lied on everything telling a made up story to please the audience aka the community that was begging R07 for a solution.
Is this about Claire making up the, "The Witch was the culprit" narrative to hide the identities of the real culprits?
Sorry, but Shkanontrice is the truth of the Umineko game boards. Shkanontrice is one of the truths of Rokkenjima Prime, although Eva, Kyrie and Rudolf were the culprits on Rokkenjima Prime.
Nardakay Konaku If the heart of the story was revealed in Last Note of the Golden Witch, then the heart of the story isn’t Rosatrice, either.
Rather, the heart of the story is Kyrietrice and Asumutrice. The Witch Piece represents Asumu.
Nardakay Konaku Asumu was key to the story. If she hadn’t died when she did, then the massacre wouldn’t have happened because Asumu would have safely defused the metaphorical powder keg that led to the massacre.
However, that still leaves the problem of the clock bomb still existing. Even if the 1986 Rokkenjima massacre didn’t happen, the bomb might still go off accidentally because the bomb components (TNT, clock, wiring) were very old. I am no explosives expert, but I believe that the island would still be a literal powder keg full of explosives waiting to explode even if the psychological and financial problems of the family were resolved.
Also, The fact that the island used to be a WW2 military base would still cause major issues with the Japanese government after Kinzo dies. After all, there would still be WW2 era military ordinance and ammunition lying around on that island. Various Intelligence agencies would definitely be interested in the fact that this island still has an abandoned military base with military weapons.
does anyone know who the artist is and can i hear more of her songs?
Thanks, I have an account~
shuen ni kirare, watashi wa taijou...
I dont remember this song in the visual novel, where this did come from?
Rokkenjima Yakai. It's an image song so it does not play during the actual novel.
Someone explain the meaning of, "blue-stained mystery"?
i think that's bc the "fantasy view" of the lore, as said on the song, is red-stained, what i assume to refer to the red truths by Beatrice, while the mistery view is supported by blue truth's, like Battler's and Erika's ones!
Uuh~ the link of the pic, please~ >a
