That hike reminded me of when Eve and Jude were little and you had to carry them, then later when Eve felt tired and she didn’t want to walk, all you had to do to convince her to keep on walking. Long time ago, now she’s starting to look all grown up! Good times when you were all together! You should look into the Camino de Santiago in Spain for when all the family can do it together! There are I think five Caminos, from Portugal and I think from France besides starting from Northern Spain.
Every time I see a hiking video now I’m so impressed with Eve! I related to her hiking experience more when she was younger but I’m so proud of her now! I wish I was as good at hiking as she is now :)
The length of that road ! My country, Scotland, at its longest is 274 miles long 🏴❤️. We are holidaying here this year ( usual Europe) and is truly gorgeous. The pandemic has meant many have appreciated the beauty on our doorstep.
Hey everyone! Just jumped in to tell you, Mike, I love your intro today with Eve! She's so much fun and it cheered me up to see her start the video with you. Glad you are all out having a great time. Enjoy your trip!!
Your hikes through the mountain woods to waterfalls brings back so many good memories of when I would take my kids to the TN mountains. Now my kids are grown & have their own lives. Hold tight and cherish every moment you have with them and thank you for the smiles and memories.
Andrew looks like the ‘pied piper’. You can see how the brothers look up to him. And he seems to always be there for Eve. Wonderful bond there. Wonderful family.
My granddaughter age 11 plays on a baseball team . We have a little girl that plays on the same team. She has Down syndrome and it is awesome to see that all the little girls treat her just the same. Her Mom and Dad had the attitude she can do everything anyone else can. She is an awesome baseball player too.
I just thought about this in the last video, but your beautiful tribe is getting a lil bit smaller😭 However, once your kiddos start to marry and have their own children, your tribe will continue to grow❤️🙏 Love y'all
I hope Jude stays as interested in gardening as he is right now. So sweet seeing him being so proud that the grape tomatoes he was eating were the ones he planted.
My daughter said that the walk down the steps next to the waterfall reminded her of when she lived in Korea. Now we’re reminiscing about Iran’s she can’t wait to go back some time. Thanks for taking us on your journeys, it really keeps our spirits up 🙂
Funny how life moves on. You taking your walk to get some "quiet time" made me remember those days. Now retired it feels like we have far too much of it! Your walk to the waterfall reminded me of the English Lake District - except here the path would be heaving with people especially this year when everyone's holidaying at home due to the pandemic.
Love seeing your family on the parkway! We live right off of it in Floyd VA! The parkway is home to us, I highly recommend driving the whole length! If you ever come through Floyd I recommend hiking Buffalo mountain! Amazing view and their is a geocatch at the top the kids would enjoy finding!
Amazing video love your videos you guys are amazing sweet talented you tubers your kids are so cute I love watching your videos they are amazing and enjoyable to watch 😊
Fellow North Carolinian here. A fun place to take the kids is Sliding Rock in Pisgah National Forest. It is a waterfall that has a natural water slide into a pool of water. It’s about 2 hours from Charlotte. There are other adventurous places in Asheville area like the Bat Caves or Looking Glass Falls. NC is such a beautiful state. Been here for 13 years. We have the best of both worlds living in the Piedmont area. We have the mountains to the left and the coastal beaches to the right. Love NC.
I don’t know if y’all will see this, but I recently fell in love with Rifle Paper Co. fabrics and just realized that they seem very similar to patterns you (Meghan) like to use in your home. So I thought I’d come spread the news, in case you hadn’t heard of them yet!
Thanks for sharing. This is where my mom was born in the Blue ridge mountains of North Carolina. Her maiden name was joines her sisters last name was gentry and her son Andrew gentry used to build log cabins with his son down in the mountains. So thank you so much again for sharing beautiful scenery and waterfalls
Agreed! I’ve always dreamed of having some land and a little farmhouse for my kids to grow up in, now they are in college and highschool so it would be a place for them to come home to. I should have followed my instinct to buy a little piece of land when I graduated HS before prices went crazy.
@@essanjay8604 you then haven't watched this channel well enough he has been in back in Japan for a while now. But i wouldn't wanna be in japan right now, cases rising daily.
You should check out sliding rock I think the boys would love it! I always enjoyed going as a kid also the Cherokee Indian Res I remember going with my nana and watched a lady make me a beautiful beaded necklace she felt bad cause I tripped and fell was bleeding and she wanted to cheer me up
Wow I’m a hour from Roanoke and a hour from the blue ridge parkway. Thank you for showing it. I have been wanting to go on the parkway but haven’t. Eve is hilarious 😂
I loved Eve and showing off her muscles! She adorable! I love seeing the sight of No Carolina. We are going to have to do a road trip with our trailer someday soon to see the sights ourselves. Waterfalls are natures true beauty! Thanks for taking us along 😊
I have family on the east coast. My parents was raised in West Virginia. My dad joined the military so we have been everywhere. He retired in Oklahoma. People here don’t understand how beautiful the smoking mountains are. Miss traveling
The best tomatoes are right there in your state, like Meg said, in your back yard. Your local produce is amazing, checkout some food from your local farms. North Carolina has some of the best natural water in the country, and the most delicious fresh produce.
Ya’ll need to check out Grandfather Mountain in Banner Elk, NC. At the very top where the swinging bridge is you can see Charlotte. It’s pretty amazing. Also in the movie Forrest Gump when he goes running part of it was taped on the road to the top of Grandfather mountain.
Man oh man did I need that chuckle of evie being the jointer she is in the beginning of this video. Love you guys. I also wonder what kind of bird would put their babies right on the ground open and uncovered??? So interesting if you learn what did that please share !
Hi Ryan's mom Sam here.... Boon looks like where I live in Scotland we also get a lot of rain but sunshine as well it's been unbearable for us just now its been in the high 20s like the highest for us was 29c and that's just to hot for us we are not used to it our homes are built to keep us warm lol🤣 we dont have air conditioning we just had to open doors or windows but that didn't help 😱😭 but the lush trees and greenery was just like ours Beautiful 😍😍
I grew up spending time in a town just a little ways from Boone called Linville. We bought a place in a gated community when I was about 6, we stayed there in the summer because we are from Beaufort, SC and it is hot and very humid in the summer. We lived there for 5 years for the time I was 12 until the time I was about 17. The snow in the winter is brutal. Really Memorial Day through Labor Day is the only tolerable time unless you really love the snow. I enjoy your channel, love y'all.
You make me want to pack up my room and load my little car and head east to SC! I’m so amazed at how green and beautiful it is! We were excited having five minutes of rain the other day because that just doesn’t happen!
Dana says- They were in Boone, NC, but South Carolina is green and beautiful too and has waterfalls and mountains too. Google pics of "Pretty Place" AKA Symmes Chapel in Cleveland, SC and you'll really want to visit our state.
What a great idea. Love the farm idea. Will be praying that a perfect dream place comes along. Would love to see what you do with it. It is so refreshing to see such love and grace in a family. P.S. Love your hair Kim and the way you are so much fun always dancing and kidding. The love you have for children shines through. Bravo! Mike I love how you are so good with your kids. I have noticed several times how patient and loving you are with them. I did not have that growing up and did not realize till later in life that it was even possible. It's so amazing to watch. Also your hair rocks. Just saying. Thank you all for sharing your journey with us.
I live a half hour from where the Blue Ridge Parkway starts in Virginia. We love to take Sunday afternoon rides down there. When I was a child, my family’s first vacation was down the Parkway. Went all 469 miles of it. In a tent. Fun to see your family trips.
You are about 20 minutes from my home. I live in Wilkesboro. There is a cheese factory in west Jefferson that you can tour and get all kinds of cheeses. Y’all would enjoy that . Glad y’all are enjoying Boone. Love to go there when it snows
We just got a Nissan NV and rode in it for the first time the other day. It is so huge compared to our Honda Odyssey. But we are outgrowing the Odyssey with our 7th child due in October. Now we have to two white vans never thought that happen. Also being from southwest Florida the idea of it being cold enough to wear a sweater in the middle of summer is unreal. But now we live in the Midwest so I guess I might get to experience it that would be nice.
Funny title- I’m pregnant with number six, I actually feel calmer about adding number six than I did numbers four and five. It’s all about perspective. Love your RV travels. My husband and older four kids are currently traveling the country with tents for two weeks. They are a few days away from being home.
Andrew a large number of tomatoes in the USA are grown in Florida , near Immokalee . Otherwise A lot of tomatoes from outside the USA come from Mexico . That would be a cool research project . Lol Can I burp? So glad a second of that burp was still there . Real life with boys
Looks so beautiful there! thank you for sharing. Can you tell me the brand of the bug canopy you use over the picnic table? I looked in your amazon shop for it and could not find it. We do a lot of camping and the mosquitos love me.
Looking for a screened in pop up for my parents RV just like yours! Do you love it? Link? I was hoping to find it in your Amazon favorites, but I didn’t spot it.
In one of the first videos of ours I watched, Eve and Jude were both fussing because they were tired and upset about having to walk. I look at this video and see how healthy they are! Lol, the parent in me is constantly counting kids because you all are out in nature. I used to do that all the time with my own!🌺

Great to see you all hiking again . I envy Elijah being in Japan right now during Olympics.
But he can't go and watch almost anything of it as he is on a mission and mission stuff keeps a missionary busy

"Dream Drives" we do them often. And oh the great things we find in our own town.

We will be chasing waterfalls soon when our RV trip starts mid August! So excited! Boone is beautiful!
Oh what a beautiful place - a slice of heaven. Sigh….
Beautiful scenery. Y'all are the best parents. I was totally neglected, and this would have been my dream life. 💜❤️

Im thinking in a couple years there will be only Eve and Jude 😲
Boone doesn’t have more rainy days than Seattle per year. Although it does get more rainfall.
Now THAT'S HOW YOU END A VIDEO!!! THANKS EVE! 😍😁🤗🤣🤣🤣🤣🖤💜💙
Eve's face when she shows her muscles is precious. I think you have to hold your face just like that to make the biggest muscles........
That pink lipstick is so flattering!

It's not just Eve's sign, it's the ASL sign for "ice cream".
Yeah, but I have seen her do that a couple of times, but I can't seem to remember any other signs!
SIX kids IS small. As we add #7 soon it should feel like we are getting bigger, but nope....feel too small. But our 15, soon 16 pet lizards feel BIG!
