“Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb”
One of the greatest lines in cinematic history.
I love the ducks... and the nuns... what a classic.
Not taking off a sin for this gem? Ding!
Especially if its made on a shoestring budget.
@@Zonker66 ... and the couple with the baby carriage. And the oompah band playing "Bringing in the sheaves"... all around every corner in every permutation possible!
I mean, at least take the bomb dinner first.
Come on, the "Batman can't get rid of the bomb" scene is one of the funniest scenes in all of comedy history.
Absolute fact
Truth!
I was like 10 when I saw the movie, and I knew then that it was stupid 😅
@@ikazuchioni The whole series was camp and tongue-in-cheek.
The iconic pissing shark in this movie was even more pissed off that it didn't get the lead role in Jaws.
Yeah but by '75 it was way too old be playing a shark that age. Nobody would have believed it.
@@John_Locke_108Nice try. This is Hollywood. That shark could have still been in high school on screen!
And in the Lego Batman movie
It wasn’t the bikini girls on the roof that cheered Batman and Robin that was as important as the man standing with them. That was Jack Lalanne. He was the man of fitness back in the day. He made a cameo because Women loved that short rascal 😂. Mothers who took their kids to movies cheered their heads off.
THAT's how you spell his name! TY! He always had a big dog!
You beat me to this comment!!
Girls used to be so fit in the '60s, lol.
I used to watch his show when I was a kid. Came on at the ass crack of dawn IIRC.
The fact one of the last roles Adam West featured was an animated version on his take on Batman is quite the celebration of his achievement with the character.
I often wonder what Adam West thought of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.
@@larrybremer4930 Adam West and Burt Ward have BEEN Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. Back to the Past I think is the episode.
"Hand me down the CinemaSins Repellent Bat Spray!!"
😂
02:30 Batman is NOT being a Batdick. Trust me, you do NOT want him removing EITHER HAND from the cyclic or collective.
🎯💯
A pilot of culture, I see.
I believe you forgot the negative sign in front of the sin counter for this one. All the sins you're pointing out are pure gold.
Cringe
Nope
I asked Burt ward at a convention once about the side car and he went into a story about how he feared for his life ..the brakes really didn't work and he went flying down the road with almost no steering....so yes that sin was vaild
I remember waking up late at night and catching this movie when it aired on TV, and the dolphin hurling itself in front of the third torpedo had me trying so hard not to wake someone up with how much I was laughing! 😂
There were four villains hence eight arms so the octagon and octopus worked. Granted I probably put more thought into it than they did.
Great observation, & great save!
Batman putting "bat" in front of everything is like Apple "i" in front of everything.
It’s branding!
iKnow, right?
Apart from the watch!
@@RedHeadKevin 😆
... to the point where your average tech enjoyer rolls their eyes at Apple and states quite proudly "iDontgiveashit" LOL 😁
"Wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts!" - Batman probably
They now go to the store to buy a bag of salted peanuts.
"I could go for some nuts" - Robin
Adam West actually says it in the animated sequel, Return of the Caped Crusaders!!!
Adam west was my first introduction to Batman. Everyones got that show the watched non stop as a kid, and the 66' Batman was my show. My brother and I used to watch the Reruns on MeTV every Sunday. I think that Adam West is the best Batman. Sure he's campy, not comic accurate, but he's just fun. He's campy, but he knows it, and wields it well. It never fails to make me laugh, RIP Adam West, thanks for making my Sundays that much better.
He was my introduction to Batman, too. I already knew the character existed, but this show was what made me a fan. Since then I’ve come to prefer the more popular, darker take on the character, but I still very much like the Adam West series, particularly Season One. It’s a lot of fun.
@@davisphillips993 Same here. All I knew about Batman before this film was from the books I read in elementary school. I got this movie on Blu-Ray, and it was my first non-literary introduction to the character. I watched it so much, I don't even know if the disc works anymore.
*13:02* - Apparently, THE JOKER prefers *CRAFTSMAN TOOLS* for their superior quality and lifetime warranty!
*Sears* should have taken advantage of this opportune moment to introduce _their own superhero..._ *CraftsMAN, The TOOL!*
One thing I never understood: Why did Joker wear a mask?
Really, THATS’S what you don’t understand about this movie? 😂
Joker? You mean the Riddler?
Well, yeah. It's the equivalent of Iron Man getting fully suited up in his iconic armor and then putting a little mask over his eye-slits.
@@the_once-and-future_king. Go to 16:47.
😂😂😂
2:15 At least it's not gonna be a Bat-astrophe!
Except if Catwoman becomes involved? Oh wait ... that'd be a...
The frame is tilted with the villains to show that they are crooked.
The reason this movie is amazing is because it has the strongest suspension of disbelief of almost any movie. It's always stretched thing, but always stable.
Batman: "Prepare for trouble!"
Robin: "And make it double!"
I remember the 60s Batman series was my grandpa and me special show. We would sit in his recline (something no one was normally allowed to do) and watch it everyday when it would come on the oldie cable channel. No matter how badly it ages I will always love it for that
Excellent movie to sin. I love the 60's Batman.
7:20 Recently, I learned Burgess Meredith came up with this sound because it was hard not to cough during takes with the cigarette holder in his mouth. He masked his coughing with this passably, generic avian noise that became a nifty character trait.
The movie's purposeful absurdity makes it impossible to sin. Incidentally, a dolphin didn't take the torpedo; it was a porpoise. +1 Sin on Jeremy.
But will we ever know if Aquaman asked the creature, or if it took the torpedo for them on porpoise?
It was a very good porpoise....it saved Batman!
@@emisthem6562 Get out!
@@WolfRamAndHart I'd say it served its porpoise.
Joker with a painted over mustache
Yeah, Cesar Romero refused to shave it!
@@paulbennett2284 "Greetings, Mr. Simpson. I have come to support your hunger strike!"
"Who are you?"
"I am the ghost of Cesar Chavez."
"Why do you look like Cesar Romero?"
"Because you don't know what Cesar Chavez looks like."
1:59 .. the crossover nobody wanted 😅
R.I.P. Adam West!
Welcome to another episode of "They Didn't Do That Movie Yet?!?"
@13:20 the RIDDLER is staring at CATWOMAN'S pointy-bits... I never noticed this as a kid.
bro's got some devious plans
Now this is my day better!
Don't you mean bat-ter? Haha.. sorry
15:24 Wow, that "Batman: Damned" reference was hilarious
Never say die old chum. Especially not until we attend the tea party at stately Wayne manor.
When he said it, I had to rewind to make sure I'd heard him correctly. So good.
I love how no matter how unbelievably random the villain's plan is, Batman already has a device ready & waiting to counter it with. 😂👌
Some days you just can’t get rid of a Sin..
💥💥💥
1:50 After what I’ve recently learned about Adam West… they were for Adam
Agreed....
Brought to you by “joker 2” in theaters this weekend
Still the best batman and I will die on that hill
That hill is well defended.
“Some days you just can’t get rid of a bomb.” - Batman (Adam West)
'66 and adding a disclaimer. Freaking awesome.
Nice subtlety at 12:47 at the distinct fighting styles of Bruce Wayne and Batman. 🤣
"Hmmm... Batman's Bat-copter hangar is owned and maintained by Wayne Enterprises. Such a good thing Mr. Wayne is such a nice person."
I love it when Batman scolds the admiral about selling the submarine
Holy movie sinners, Batman!
Oh my God I never thought they’d review my favorite Batman movie 😳
I love 60’s Batman. It’s my favourite Batman and just fun to watch 😌🦇
This movie is part of history and should be revered forever for introducing shark repellant bat spray.
The dancers on the roof of the building and that guy dressed in red, that's the famous Jack LaLaine fitness guru. Lol
... Will stop you right there - nothing ..
22:40 "Disengage gokart" --> Death scream XD
😂
“Some days you can’t get rid of a bomb” deserved a sin taken off.
7:48 - ex-f'ing-actly. This movie, and series, had him doing detective work, in the 1989 film he does detective work (he recognizes Joker, gets Napier's file - see's the aptitude in chemistry, and while off screen goes shopping to get the products and figure out the combinations it must take to activate), and may even do some in Returns. And in this and the 89 film - he's also not being handed answers by Alfred, any villains, etc and actually does it his damn self because he's Batman and prepared for this.
This must have been one of the first films I saw at the cinema. All I remember are those little piles of pastel ashes, which for some reason terrified me and haunted my dreams for years!
The Dolphin sacrificing it's life for no rhyme or reason is one of my first childhood memories of surreal humour
When I was a kid, I took the Adam West Batman seriously and no idea it was campy. I used to try and solve the Riddler’s clues and was mad that I could never figure them out myself.
I thought Batman and Gotham were real when I was 4 or 5 lol. I loved everything Batman.
I had a similar experience. I thought it was a serious drama as a young child. And then had the surreal experience of watching it with an adult relative in the room who kept chuckling and I realized all at once the whole show was really supposed to be silly and got the jokes. It was like a switch turning in my brain! This kind of cheesy joking is still my favorite kind of humor. Thanks Batman. This video was a delight 😂
*When are you going to do Sharkboy and Lavagirl?!*
Sin 50, how could you resist saying that he fired the third torpedo just for the "halibut"? And it was super cool that the pop up ad was for "bat"-tery junction.
Batman: Return of Observing Oopsies. Literally squealed with joy!
Batman - "What has yellow skin and write?"
Robin - "A ballpoint banana!"
Batman: "Right."
Me: "PENCIL! The answer's a pencil,, Robin! And no, he's not right, Batman!" Robin is even holding a pencil as he said it, the answer's right there in front of him. A well-deserved sin count.
this, the munsters, addams family, and roy rodgers are all the shows my grandma and i would watch before school. thanks for the nostalgia
"It happened at Sea. See? C for Catwoman..."
They should have said, "NO ROBIN!"
This is the punniest CinemaSins video ever
Missed opportunity at 6:29 - This Dutch angle is so drastic and unnecessary it said to Dick Schoof, "Dear Prime Minister, hold my tripod."
Wish you had foreign captions. Love your content, but my Czech wife has a hard time keeping up. 😅
18:28 "Five, four, three, two" made me think of Italian Job "Ya only s'posed ta blow tha bloody doors off!" 🤣🤣🤣
Roll Movits! Holy CinemaSins Batman!
I’d like to think that the indecency joke about some shenanigans going on in the back of the carriage landing at sin 69 was just a hilarious coincidence.
To think it'd be eleven years after 19:57 that we'd have to ask how many angstroms to a parsec! 😲
KER SPLOOSH!!!!! That should have been a college girlfriend joke
In the behind the scenes of this movie, Burt Ward talks about what a nightmare the gokart scene was because the motorcycle kept shooting him off in crazy directions and took so many takes to get right.
2:45. Yeah I was surprised they even got a real boat out there to do it. the wake is part of the hologram.
I remember being psyched about this movie being broadcast on commercial TV when I was about ten years old, back in the 80s when the CW used to be WPIX. I found out at day camp where I was sitting in the picnic table area on a Friday. One of the older kids was walking through the camp with an announcement: "The 'Batman' movie is on channel 11 tonight at 8pm, two hours," which he said while throwing up the "peace" sign to emphasize the running time of the movie. Oh how I miss those simpler times when watching a primetime movie presentation on a seven-channel antenna box was luxurious, as well as the fact that campy content starring Adam West was the equivalent of the dark undertone of Robert Pattinson's "The Batman."
What I love is after this movie was released, later episodes in the series randomly reused footage to pad out their runtime.
They can see through penguin's Captain disguise but not Catwoman and Joker's?
Catwoman being defeated by man's greatest enemy : stairs just left me dying 😂
I forgot about the cheesy ways he got out of dangerous situations, the dolphin committed harrakirry lol
Few days ago I was searching for this and saw no video ever being made on it, and look at this after a few days. It's like you read my mind lol going to enjoy this a lot
«I must break you», the line that removes a shit load of sins from the movie it belongs..
If perfect movie was in the dictionary this would be listed as a synonym
The classic Bat Mobile is awesome, I'll take that over the clunky tank he has now any day
The newest one is sick, too, though! It's basically a custom-built muscle car on all the steroids 😂
@ZombieWilfred I know right?... the Tim Burton Bat Mobile was awesome too
From what I understand the noise the Penguin makes is because of the cigarettes - Burgess Meredith had stopped smoking and the sound started off as an involuntary response to the smoke. The liked it so much they made it part of his character.
For the caliber of movie this was, I am surprised the Sin Counter got over 10!
"I wonder if they ride each others poles just for fun" 😂😂😂
Why (oh why) does Batman keep Shark Repellent Bat-Spray in his damn helicopter? Are sharks such a common airborne occurrence that aerosol repellent needs to be kept in stock at all times in one's helicopter?🤔
He does a lot of flying over open water. Actually, it makes sense.
I never expected to see The Walker Texas Ranger Lever in a Sins video, but that was the best use of a Conan clip ever!
My biggest complaint about this movie is that the Penguin's sub should've had ten torpedo tubes. Six in the bow, four in the stern.
Lee Merriwearher in the cat suit. All sins removed!!!!
Oh yeah.
I watched this at my late auntie's place as a kid. Good thing they were running reruns of the show when I was growing up in the 90's, so I didn't need to catch up on "Why is Adam West Batman?" 😂 and then, after this movie finished, it was a Superman movie marathon
The dolphin getting torpedoed broke me🤣🤣🤣
Please do EWW Night at the Museum 3! It has the same director as Deadpool and Wolverine!
As always, thank you for the subtitles.
Just to note, WB does NOT own this movie. Fox, now Disney, still does. Fox/Disney and WB had to come together to be able to release this and the TV series on DVD/Blu-Ray and neither of them can put it on their streaming services without the other's OK.
Came to say the same! So minus one sin!
Seriously, no Moneyball yet? What do the A’s have to do to get your attention?
The Down Periscope outtake killed me
20:51 - This reminds me of those collections of sprinkles you could get back in the 80-90s !!! I got so hungry and nostalgic at the same time! Like the book bout that dude who ate a cookie that reminded himself of his whole life.. THAT IS JUST ICECREAM SPRINKLES BATMAN!!!!!!!!!!!
13:10 Gotta give Joker props for his giant beater Craftsman screwdriver. Can't beat that kinda warranty, and even the clowned Prince of crime knew it so.
7:34 you went with the Martin Gardner classic "Abominable"/"Noble"!
I hope more people got this.
Four members have eight arms.
That is exactly the kind of connection this movie would have.
Hey CinemaSins, there's this animated robot movie on netflix that I wanted you to sin called NEXT GEN. It's not *that* popular but I am sure that it has many sins that you can go over.
That dolphin was from the future and knew how big B&R would be and had to make sure they lived.
I wasn't even an idea when this movie came out, but this Sins video for it is hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There is a comic where batman is attached to a magnet, and he and Robin just take their belts off to escape.
