For decades the weather girl has been a cherished presence in our living rooms, bringing rays of sunshine on even the gloomiest of days. But only today, as climate change demands attention, are their vital roles being recognised. Today, as we commemorate 170 years of the Met Office, we honour the legacy of weather women - welcoming back iconic 'weather girls' like Britain’s first, Hilary Langford, alongside Ulrika Jonsson, ITV’s regional reporter Emma Jesson, and our Laura Tobin. With their return, the forecast for nostalgia and warmth couldn't be brighter!
