My wife bought one for $5 at an Amazon discount store here in Tn. It sat unused until one night it was very hot, and I couldn't sleep. Got it out, filled it with water, and turned it on high. Put it beside my bed, and I could feel the room getting cooler by the minute. Mind you my room is very small, but in an hour I was sleeping like a baby. Its not like having a home central a/c, but it made a huge difference. Started looking up places that sold this same model, and couldn't believe she only paid 5 dollars. Some wanted $163 dollars. Love the colors it glows. Would definitely recommend this for someone who works in a small office, or wants to cool a small space in your house.
Technology Connections recently made a video about "personal air coolers" but they're just humidifiers. If your room is humid, they do not work that well. I definitely recommend his video explaining it
I've had the Smart model for about 2 years now, its great at what it does but the filters are a little pricey at $50 USD. They last about a summer and I recommend tossing the filter if you are storing it for a long period of time, it will just collect mildew and start smelling.
Your prior cooling situation is exactly like mine. Small room, no airflow, and my ceiling fan is garbage. The best I could do is get a tall $50 fan from target so this would help me a lot. I am curious if it has a filter or if using tap water will have any long term effects on it.
no joke it will cool down the air 10-20 degrees lower (F). its no AC, obv, no freon and compressor - but the fact that u can plug it in, take it outside, camping, bedroom wherever, def a cool thing. also for me the power went out for a few hours, so i hooked it to a usb power bank and i had cold air in bed xD anyway thanks for watching :D
def not for room, it doesnt have the power to cool down, its more like a "fan" as you would use it for "yourself" but instead of hot air blowing in your face, you get colder air :)
I am literally melting at the moment back here in germany, maybe your hydration man / the Gengar guy is lucky for once in a giveaway. Great work on the video and the new CAFM keep it up nick, much love to the bunyun house !
after you reviewed it, i actually want one. because im always playing in the afternoon and it so hot in my place, and i’m only allowed to turn on my ac at 9 pm-ish. so it will maybe help me with that problem.
That's exactly what I need for next summer. I melt while trying to play anything. I literally have to swap my normal headset for in-ear ones because it's unbearable.
Im curious how great this would work in an enclosed car? 🤷🏻♂️ if i turn it on 5 min before work. Will my car be nice and cool without needing to use my car ac? 😀
Hi, I work for Evapolar, so let me answer your question. First off-no; In enclosed small spaces without ventilation it raises the humidity to a quite high level, so it’s not the best idea to do so. To use it properly in this situation you should open the windows, point the device at you, and turn on the Evapolar. Or, alternatively, what you can do is to close down the windows and set the car ac to the minimum, and turn on Evapolar. Then you gonna get the best results. Just stumbled on this video :) Cheers
It took me forever to find a channel reviewing these things, but I am glad to know it seems worth it.

there is no room on my desk for this. Good review Nick!
Looks like a really good product, didnt expect it from a small thing like that.
This sounds like a really nice thing to have to late night gaming sessions love your vids
Awesome video, seems like it could definitely help my hot computer room, love ya Nick.

You need to run the fan with no water to dry out the filter to avoid mildew
Do you think if I got 2 I could get away with no a/c during the summer for a small room?
Got the same for 5 bucks (2nd hand pretty much unused, cartridge is new), it works great and the display is blue 👌

honestly have been looking at these things for a long time. most seem like gimmicks but this looks like it could be good!

Cali really be burning at the moment and would love to get this to get through the heat. Pc makes the room an oven whenever I play.
It's like 28-34 degrees in Serbia during the summer every single day and this would help me to stop literally melting while i'm gaming
This seems cool for a desk but how much space can it cool? Could I like put it in a living room type space and expect it to be cooler?
I wouldn't recommend it, anything bigger than a 5x5 space the unit just doesn't output enough humidity.

@@ProjectWOOP it's a posh fan
@@ProjectWOOP ok gotcha. Still pretty cool.
Got 2 ventilators but only so much they can do. Will look into this
I wanted to see a review for this for so long!
Interesting. I wonder if this will work in a small pet room to keep Chinchillas cool if placed semi closed to them.

Great work on the video and the new CAFM keep it up nick, much love to the bunyun house !
Just ordered this from Best Buy!!!
Appreciate the review 👍🏾
May we know if the device effectively cools your room?
Damn it's awesome, but i wonder what will happend when i will put ice cubes in tank.
The air becomes much cooler.
kinda interesting how these work and it includes temp sensors which you dont normally get on coolers
love you nick! thanks for the giveaway
This looks interesting, will have to give this a try.
It would be nice to have one of these for brazil's summer
This seems really cool!
Cuteness like never seen before

It would be a dope addition to my gaming setup
Looks really good !
I will like to have that in my room when is summer time here
looks nice since we (in denmark) are having a heatwave
WOW that product is so cool, finaly a device which doesnt eat insane amount of power.
Need this for uni for sure
i would love to have this toy in my room in summer time
wonder how long will it last
Very good video Nick

How many hours of service do you get out of this unit?
So, is it only air cooler? or does it work as an heater as well ?
This is awesome!
Which smartwatch are you wearing?
I think this would be better than a full on air conditioning unit as it uses less electricity or I believe so at least
That is insane!
Do you fill it with water or ice?
looks cool!
I would love to get that and cool my room air
Nice Review!
You'd save more by just adding a return duct in the room to extract heat.
Looks good
Seems cool
What if you put ice cold water in it ?
This is actually very interesting. I've seen some of these and I never thought they worked. Kinda cool. Isn't it still kinda noisy for streaming?
its cool because use water too refresh the air i have asma that its good for me
Cold or ice water would help you think?o:
This would work pretty good when the power goes out.
I have been burning in my room all summer so this was a good video, but it would have been better if you released it earlier
I need this cuz my laptop is going nuts in the summer :P
Im curious how great this would work in an enclosed car? 🤷🏻♂️ if i turn it on 5 min before work. Will my car be nice and cool without needing to use my car ac? 😀

Looks like my Senseo - can it make coffee, too ? :D
on these days right now, it makes around 100°F
Let's go!
The problem it's the plastic material, don't know how expensive the technology is to made, but for 150€ could come with a little bit of aluminium xD
Can you start posting more videos?
