I want to thank Jeff from The Trek Planner for giving me a shout-out. I am very grateful. If you are watching this because of The Trek Planner, Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking a look! This was a fun climb! Thanks for watching! What part did you like of this adventure?
Me too. Thanks Jeff! I don’t think I would have ever found this channel by myself. (81 M here who used to explore the Superstitions near Phoenix back in the early 1970’s. Hard to believe that was half a century ago!)
I like that you give geological info., maybe some tips on climbing to. Found you from the Trek Planner. I can't go hiking anymore at 75 years old but watching your experience is uplifting. Best wishes.
I started following a geology teacher, Nick Zentner, during Covid. He helps quiet my brain so I can sleep and I learn a bit about geology before I fall asleep. Granite, along with a lot of other rocks, is volcanic in origin. There was a lot of volcanoes or a big one with feeder dykes there. Lidar has helped them find what are actually the remains of massive calderas that were unnoticeable from the ground or from flying over.
just subbed to your channel young man. your hiking abilities and knowledge of ancient cultures made me smile. bravo bravo. i have several so called college degrees. Anthropology and Archaeology so i have the same passions you have. sadly at 66 yrs old i can no longer make the same journeys in life you are accomplishing. but i love your content and cannot wait for your next video. Thank you for sharing.
The Trek Planner sent me as well. His word goes a long way with me, so I had to subscribe. Is that your Dad? if so, that is so cool that you guys do things together. It looks like a great partnership. he lets you take the lead, seems like he trusts you enough to let you grow. I look forward to our upcoming adventures.☮ Edit: What a stunning place and some nice drone work.
You are going far and i appreciate you. I lived in Phoenix for 10 years. Been all over Arizona, Prescott is a gem! One of many in Arizona. Thank you sincerely. Respect!!
So happy The Trek Planner sent me in your direction. I love this kind of stuff and you do it well. I live in North Wales UK and our terrain is vastly diffrent. Im looking forward to your future adventures. Thank you for taking me along with you.
Nice chimney technique on the descent, climbing granite is the best. If you don`t already have it, pick up a copy of "The Vertical World of Yosemite" by Galen Rowell - some light reading for those days when climbing isn`t an option. Stay safe!
The Trek Planner directed me to Ruins and Ridges today. These two channels and my favorite geologist youtuber Myron Cook allow me to hike through nature's terrain, visit unusual and unique places, see remnants of ancient human living, and learn how to interpret land formations. Thank you to all three of you explorers for giving me these adventure opportunities.
Cool video....I really liked those rock formations. There are similar ones, although not in the same configurations, in San Diego County. A friend called them The Jumblies - and now so do I. Maybe your hiking partner can teach us to speak backwards, too! Hahaha! 😆
Hi Beautiful, is your hiking partner your dad? Jeff from Trek Planner sent us to your channel. I watch him and Andrew from Desert Drifter. I think you will like their channels too. Nice to meet you. Sandy from Far Northern California
My favorite part was with you and dad on top and your drone flying with music was peaceful and beautiful. The bloopers was nice too. Don’t forget to check out desert drifter too along with trek planner. Desert drifters mentions trek planner a lot too.
Another viewer referred here by the Trek Planner. You’re doing great work. Very enjoyable. Not intending to be critical, but I don’t think you’re correct about the age of the rock in the Dells. Aren’t they about 1.4 billion years old? Vishnu schist at he bottom of GC is about 1.8 billion, as I recall.
I just meant when the Grand Canyon formed. But the rock itself is very old in the GC. Thank you for taking a look at my channel and sharing your thoughts! 🙂
Lol, that's funny. This is in the Granite Dells, Prescot, Arizona, the mountain is officially called Peak 5356 and is located at 34°36'17.4"N 112°24'13.9"W . Thank you for watching! 🙂

Fabulous footage. Rock formations are stunning. Watch where you put your hands. Wouldn’t want to grab a scaly rope instead of a rock. 🐍
Yes, but the nights get very cold in the desert here in November. Thank you for pointing it out though 🙂
The Trek Planner sent me and you landed the sub with this awesome video. Looking forward to more!
