The most accurate source of info will always be the reddit, if you checked it you would know to get the margwa mask you need to destroy 3 heads with only one shot for each margwa type. The reddit is still the only accurate and up to date source on easter eggs.
Don't forget that trip mines can also crash the game if you try to PAP after placing a trip mine on a red dig spot, very useful feature right there indeed
What’s most funny about Revelations was that the developers intended to make the easter egg as hard as possible to find. They did this by adding irrelevant easter egg steps like random interactions and buttons 😂😂 most that amounted to nothing. If im not mistaken, it took 2-3 weeks to figure this one out, which is an insanely long time for EE hunting, most are solved within a couple of days
And to add to this, those 2-3 weeks were spent entirely on the first 3 steps: acquiring the 3 reels. The steps were so convoluted and hard to find that people thought the easter egg was bugged, or that treyarch was waiting for the dlc release on xbox to “activate” it. (This was back when playstation had the exclusivity deal to get the dlcs a month before xbox and pc) That lil’ arnie step was found likely out of complete desperation if we’re being honest… If I remember correctly, once the last bone was found for the third reel, the rest of the steps took less than a few hours to figure out.
I would’ve loved for the egg on revelations to be a more story oriented cinematic climax but it kinda feels like a throwback to like the flytrap and ascension eggs where they were more obscure
i think it was 2 weeks, i remember for the LONGEST time we were looking for the last of the bones in the easter egg step and we didn’t get it until someone eventually data mined it bc we all got so fed up of looking. rest of the easter egg came in the same day im pretty sure, as it’s preeettty straightforward for zombies quests.
Knowing the difference between the Jimmy Zielinski vs Jason Blundell maps would really help Joe and Jamison understand the difference between maps and the directions the games went. As well as some of his opinions.
I love that you’ve included the Easter egg music when first discovering the maps. Also I cannot believe they talked about the storyline for 50 mins ahhaha, classic zombies players right there
That's not a classic zombies player I have an unhealthy obsession with the game mode but I can't watch more than half hour of that 6 hour vid and can't follow that intertwining spiralling timeline for shit I just like shooting zombies 😂
You can still do up to the very final step of Shadows so I think it would be still worth it to do the ee on that map. Also I genuinely love the idea of you sticking with doing the maps duo/solo. Doing the easter eggs with the patrons can admittedly feel a little like getting carried at times but this is super exciting. If you limit yourselves to just Classic Gobblegums for the BO3 Easter Egg runs you'll see why Gorod Krovi is considered so difficult. Honestly even if you allow just standard Mega Gobblegums but no Rare/Ultra-Rare ones for the duo Easter Egg runs that one might still be tough
Yeah, I wasn’t gonna spoil *this* secret; and I’m happy nobody else did either. Respect. Now I can tell you, that permanent melee weapons are actually gonna be good in Cold War (which has Zombies, so I hope you play it too). A sword or shovel is a one-hit-kill until round 20-or-so, and you can spawn with them to get lots of melee kill points. The shovel is the best, given that it increases your movement speed by a bit; but I personally prefer the greater reach of the sword.
I think it would be cool for a discussion video once all of the zombies exploration is done on how y'all feel about the mode in general. Since there are no nostalgia glasses on here being new to all of this id like to hear your guy's thoughts.
During your conclusions at the end, bo3 being the best 'engine' also makes the custom maps you can play on it so much better. If you ever decide to play more zombies, I really recommend some of the higher rated custom maps because they are genuinely up there with official maps. Also yeah all of the maps officially remade for BO3 have the original cast of characters, CoTD and most BO2 maps have different main casts.
Everyone way too hard on L. He was hilarious, some people aren’t as talkative like he is. He carried the conversations 90% of the time. Without him talking, I can almost guarantee it would be dead silent 70% of the time until Johnny spoke and the video would have ended up being 40 minutes shorter.

Hearing the Destiny reference was cool. If you guys haven't done the raids in the game that could always be a video series for yall if you're looking for one! Something like do every Destiny raid or whatever. They're pretty damn fun :)
I feel like if this series was titled "we play (map name) for the first time" it would get a lot more views. That and the first 5 minutes of video not being backwards speech
I don't think they should limit the creativity, that's the fun of this series for them. And if we want to see them make it to the end of the series, they need to be doing something novel and creative to keep up the passion. The title advice is good though, that could definitely help.
1:49:52 I will forever be amazed that The first step, the grave step for this Easter egg Took the Communith 14 DAYS TO FIGURE OUT Revelation easter egg was the longest Easter egg search ever
im surprised no ones pointed this out yet but I think its important to remember with the more unique weapons like the peacekeeper, banshee, nighthawk crossbows, marshalls and the seemingly random melee weapons for the speed challenges. These weapons were also available in multiplayer and this was the darker times of super heavy loot boxes in this CoD. Their inclusion in zombies was likely to encourage people to buy boxes in the hope to use these weapons in the multiplayer. As someone who reached max multiplayer prestige back in the day I never was able to get even half of these weapons to use. Imagine the immense disappointment of getting a unique weapon in a loot box to get one of those melee weapons vs an mp40 or the peacekeeper. Shit really sucked, glad its slightly better now.
Great video and I am glad to hear the series is continuing/expanding…. Any chance you’d attempt to understand the story a bit more…. There is a …. 6 1/2 hour video explaining the entirety of the zombies story of the old games WAW - B04. Worth a deep dive
A tip for maximising early round point scoring. Figure out how many starting pistol body shots it takes to kill, say it takes 6 body shots, i would shoot 5 in the body and then mele for maximum points per kill. When you get to spaceland, it'll help get going big time. The number of body shots increases by 1 or 2 per round for the first few rounds
Honestly the solo journey through all the BO3 EEs probably won't be too difficult saying you've already suffered through some exo zombies EEs solo. BO3 is nothing compared to that.
Der eisendrache & revelations should still be fairly easy no gobblegum, zetsubou you obviously still need to run anywhere but here to get the cog but otherwise sure, gorod krovi may be a bit of a struggle no gobblegum but still shouldn't be to the level of pain of exo zombies EEs solo
@@defendthehouse I will also say that even though the shadows of evil EE can not be fully completed solo you ARE able to do the entire EE up to trapping the shadowman in the summoning key which the community at large considers to be the end of the EE when it comes to speedrun records with less than 4 players meaning you wouldn't have to skip shadows.

Oh boy 3 hours zombies and the end of BO3. This should be good. We've come this far, time to move onto the next game. Infinite Warefare Zombies from what ive heard is actually fairly enjoyable. Lots of unique maps. Hope you guys keep going strong I have loved these zombies videos. Its like seeing a home video of your self growing up
I never knew how much I wanted 2 Scottish people to explain CoD zombies to me. Live and learn I guess.
Black ops 6 reveal and this in one day. Love the series can't wait for the rest
Dude, this is one of those series that I’m ALWAYS looking forward to.
Uhhh, 3 hours for Revelations. Can't wait gor 5 hours for Blood Of The Dead
As always, I love this series! Great job on Revelations!
However, I must say that I am EVEN MORE excited for IW zombies! It will truly be an adventure and I think you will have fun with it… or at least parts of it
just finished a 3 hour zombies vid last night. Let’s do it again, but in the afternoon.
For the chalk ee, the words you were placing around different sections of the maps were originally from there. You were just putting quotes onto where they were in their original places
started watching this series THIS WEEK because of the BO2 videos. can’t wait for BO4
Johnny if you read this, thanks for being a trooper. It can be super lame for one person to talk over you over and over again :/ Been there and hate it. So thank you for toughing through that and helping them out
Holy crap dont let that L guy come back ever again
it took the community months to learn enough about shadows to love it. The fact they think u were gonna love it immediately is wild
I was one of the rare people who stuck with "Shadows". It always confused me why people hated it for so long.
@@frankkennedy6388 bc it was a complete departure of everything people loved about previous zombies. Thats when it went from “simple survival mode” to “treyarch zombies.” It’s the same reason people hated origins. People forget that a controversial map back then bc a lot of og players didnt like how complex it was
@@frankkennedy6388 think about it. The two most popular maps in bo2 at the time were buried and origins. The two maps that took the two different map philosophies from Jimmy and jason and brought them to the extremes. It was very much a changing of the guard back then
We have to keep this series alive no matter what
35:30 There were bouncy betties in WaW, so we've kinda had to have a proximity mine in zombies ever since then. It also another MP assist they can steal for the zombies sandbox
Ah man another great video you guys generally make the zombies content more alive and I’m so glad you guys have decided to play this forgotten side mode.
I think he can do it classics, in AW Exo Zombies he already showed he can endure painful challenges solo pretty well 😂😂
Well well well, look what video dropped on a nice Sunday afternoon.
Seeing them talk about “completing the Easter egg first try blind” gives me PTSD of this hunt being 2 weeks long on the bone step lol
That one patron guy was so annoying, dude couldnt shut up
There was not a second of silence with him, could barely stand it.
I like IW engine much more but I guess this is just preferences
Everyone way too hard on L. He was hilarious, some people aren’t as talkative like he is. He carried the conversations 90% of the time. Without him talking, I can almost guarantee it would be dead silent 70% of the time until Johnny spoke and the video would have ended up being 40 minutes shorter.
I was half waiting for the, "Dormamu! I've come to bargain! ......Dormamu! I've come to bargain! ....... Maxmamu! We've come to chew gobblegum and kick ass and we're all out of gobblegum!"
I've been waiting for this moment. I can't wait to watch It.
Happy to see this series continuing, watched all up until this point and looking forward to the next parts, keep it up DTH 🥂
I have always loved this series and I am super happy with the new announcements, keep up the good work! 🎉
Thanks Jordy!
Man this hunt was nuts back in the day. Yea it has some bs ass steps but it was really fun to be hunting around in the community when this map came out.
That bloke needs to let other people talk
Thanks for your service Reginald! Hope we see you come back like it's a Back to the Future/ultra dimension traveler sheep episode, trying to save Joe and Jam from some weird miss calculation shenanigans or time-traveler adventures.
Thanks DTH for keeping the series going and the patreons for keeping it alive!!
You didn't mention that the easter egg music from the remake of the very first zombies map. The song is Undone. The guitar is haunting.
I don't think they played the BO1 version tho? I could be wrong
This series has just gotten better and better and better legit from day 1 was wondering how far it would go and I'm glad to see it's still going and if anything even stronger
Hearing the Destiny reference was cool. If you guys haven't done the raids in the game that could always be a video series for yall if you're looking for one! Something like do every Destiny raid or whatever. They're pretty damn fun :)
that would be so damn cool
I feel like if this series was titled "we play (map name) for the first time" it would get a lot more views. That and the first 5 minutes of video not being backwards speech
very true
I don't think they should limit the creativity, that's the fun of this series for them. And if we want to see them make it to the end of the series, they need to be doing something novel and creative to keep up the passion.
The title advice is good though, that could definitely help.
1:49:52
I will forever be amazed that
The first step, the grave step for this Easter egg
Took the Communith 14 DAYS TO FIGURE OUT
Revelation easter egg was the longest Easter egg search ever
Ayyyy I see my name, glad to support such a fun series!
The Rift E9 is the best pistol in the game when packed basically able to carry you for a lot of rounds
im surprised no ones pointed this out yet but I think its important to remember with the more unique weapons like the peacekeeper, banshee, nighthawk crossbows, marshalls and the seemingly random melee weapons for the speed challenges.
Love how you guys keep on throwing Arnies when Panzers and Margwa's are on the field, KNOWING they fuck those boys up 😭
Can’t wait for the bo4 classified Easter egg!
Great video and I am glad to hear the series is continuing/expanding…. Any chance you’d attempt to understand the story a bit more…. There is a …. 6 1/2 hour video explaining the entirety of the zombies story of the old games WAW - B04. Worth a deep dive
Im concerned for them about Attack of the Radioactive Thing 😂😂😂
I can't wait for them to get to beast from beyond lol. My first time even had me doing a double take
They need that guy in Codename Pizza’s stream who knows all the steps by heart, Menno Bot is his name.
It's not hard. Someone made a template for it
@@flagondragon1854they'll have more trouble with Mephisto than anything else since to get to him and beat him they have to beat every egg again
What about a no-gobblegum solo run 👀
Der eisendrache & revelations should still be fairly easy no gobblegum, zetsubou you obviously still need to run anywhere but here to get the cog but otherwise sure, gorod krovi may be a bit of a struggle no gobblegum but still shouldn't be to the level of pain of exo zombies EEs solo
@@defendthehousei would so enjoy every second of that idea
@@defendthehouse I will also say that even though the shadows of evil EE can not be fully completed solo you ARE able to do the entire EE up to trapping the shadowman in the summoning key which the community at large considers to be the end of the EE when it comes to speedrun records with less than 4 players meaning you wouldn't have to skip shadows.
@@defendthehouse you could try using only “classic” gobblegums. Feels like that was how they intended the game to be played
I loved the video but the one patreon who couldn't shut up was unbearable.
I have been WAITING for the next video in this series for the past week because I sensed it was soon. And as usual you did NOT disappoint! Thanks for keeping the series going and I look forward to the next one!
the patron needs to socialize outside of discord chats
Whyyy
It's got a nice vibe
Still insane I got into the DE Easter egg
@@CrazydarksideYeah, I haven't finished the video yet, but it seems like people are being way too harsh on this guy. He's only "talking so much" because of the editing. He's explaining the steps, and the editing cuts straight between these explanations making it seem non stop.
He's also just providing some zombies trivia, which is pretty reasonable given the context, and they even seemed interested in some of it.
Awe shit, can't wait to watch this get some popcorn and sit down on the couch for an afternoon.
Cant wait for BO4. So many great maps and easter eggs, and I love how much more challenging it is compared to other zombies games
Still wish the Shield strat was usable on Blood of the Dead. It works on every other map.
I highly recommend watching a video on the zombies storyline
Another great addition to the series! Looking forward to the next one!
Ah, yes. Revelations. The beginning of the end of the Golden Age. The Era of Decline of Zombies begins. After this comes IW, surprisingly fun, then World War 2, also fun imo but many others don't agree.
Then... Black Ops 4... hoo boy.
Can't wait to see the rest of the series, through thick and thin.
Surprised nobody has mentioned the easiest way to get the "1-shot Margwa kills", just use the thundergun or shield blast to remove each head instantly
I think the guide I read said the Thundergun didn't work for some reason, it felt very contrived.
@@defendthehouse yeahhh the issue with a lot of the guides is that they were rushed out ASAP after the maps released in order to be "first", and can be pretty hit or miss as a result, as you for sure have come to realize lol. But as far as I know they both work (and are maybe even the intended method? One shot kills are pretty difficult to achieve by other means)
