  • I am NOT affiliated with Shapertool in any way, so this is truly my honest opinion, review and test of the Shaper Trace versus tracing directly in Lightburn, which I’m not affiliated with either.
    I’m the designer of MiMoDesignLaserfiles
    ( MiMoDesignLaserfiles.etsy.com & AllStarsDesign.com )
And I’ve been using Lightburn to create pretty much all of my files for lasercutting since 2021.
I bought the Shaper Trace, since the functionality seemed like it would work well for my hand drawn artwork and I was hooked on the single line function.
I’m not convinced that I’ll use it as much as I hoped for, but it might be worth it for you.
So if you watched my video and liked it, here’s the link for the Shaper Trace:

Lightburn has an incredibly good tracing tool, much better that even Illustrator has, so, if you have Ligtburn, you don't need any other tracing tool, but, if you don't have lightburn, this Shaper Trace tool maybe helpful

That was my conclusion too, but it is great for single line tracing and exact measurements, since you can’t do that in Lightburn

I have lightburn as well, but it seems like the shapertool will do parallax correction and scale it exactly. Does lightburn do that?
