Fallout 4 - Sanctuary Hill - Holy Sanctuary (Sim Settlements 2 build tour)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 жов 2021
- This is a settlement build tour at Sanctuary Hills in Fallout 4, using my city plan downloadable on NEXUS, (www.nexusmods.com/users/57501...)
Sim settlements 2 required, it's a levelled city plan.
I tried to do something balanced not too much excess not too much scraping.
I've used each old house to make a useful building, business, farm, bar, school or police station. Each building keeping its housing capacities.
From level 0 you will have a fully equipped player house.
The main street will be transformed into a real community living space from level 1.
And the city will continue to grow thanks to Sim Settlement 2 until level 3.
You'll probably need some space to build stuff for the quests, I've left some space at the top of Sanctuary behind the houses and at the bottom near the water.

That's a really wonderful work. Sanctuary as I think it should be after the fallout. Impressive!
This is truly a remarkable build, you clearly put lots of effort into this. Great job!
Thanks man
@@nigaud1520 No problem
Damn nice settlement, even pre-war Sanctuary Hill wasn't this bustling.
Thanks a lot
You have given me a reason for a new playthrough. Amazing work!
Thank you very much.
I hope you enjoy it
This is a very nice build - must be a mission to get everything so tightly fitted in and working - well done
Really well done! I've come very late to Fallout 4, and I'm loving all the settlement building content that is available. My Sanctuary still looks barren, and the houses are all a mess, but this has given me something to look forward to as I learn how to build settlements in game. Cheers...
Probably you can't build this type of settlement, 'cause is a city plan for a mod called sim settlements 2, vanilla building isn't so detailed and beautiful.
@@perilouspath2799 Thank you! I didn't realize it was a mod.
Just went with this build. Extraordinary details!
Thanks
Currently playing fallout 4 with sim settlements 2 for first time just built that first plot now heading to concord. This mod is awesome so far.Going to try to pimp my sanctuary out like you did here
good luck
it's really crazy, I still don't understand how people can make a mod so good. hope starfield mods are this good
Dude you not gonna just like the build aspect of it but the whole story that King and his crew have developed with it is awesome. Have fun man your in for a whole new game
@@FyreAndBloodu think they might be even better cause it’s a new version of the creation engine that’s much more capable
OMG my computer just had a meltdown watching this. I can get a decent sized sanctuary going but then i start having CTDs after a while. I am impressed sir and a magnificent build.
Thank a lot
this looks so good, i've been getting into building in Fallout 4 recently and i know how long it takes to get a building done, the proportion, the position of the base to make sure the building don't end up tilted, the tricks you got to do to place a wall or a window in the place you want, the wiring and decorations, damn dude, it took me several hours to make one communal house i can't even imagine how long it took for you to make a whole city
Thanks
It's MOD called Sim Settlements, basically you use City Plans and Workshop Framework Layouts that provide two different methods for allowing Sim Settlements to automate building your settlements.
City Plans will build over time, and will engage with the settlement economy system while doing so. City Plans are immersive and provide settlements that will have grown between visits.
Layouts are built all at once and do not cost resources. Layouts are fast

This video is very informative about what sim settlements is and how it works.
This is a masterpiece good job mate
thanks a lot
The build quality is up there with Ranger Dave’s settlements, good stuff. I really like this.
Thank you, that's a nice compliment. A major reference
@@nigaud1520 Ranger Dave is a god at settlement buildings, his tour vids are top tier stuff.
Myself and Ivy will be building this soon, thanks for the hard work :)
Thanks a lot
Just started using this build. Absolutely impressed so far. Love the forethought and attention to detail I have seen so far, especially the player home that's built into it.
I do have to say though, that I am always worried because of build limits that things are going to get missed or messed up. It was already at the point where I had to use console commands to drop in a must have for my playthrough, IDEKS communication station for ease of salvaging. I can't tell if you incorporated the SS2 version of it in the build or not, as so far I can't easily tell what parts are using plots and what parts are customized, though I will not hold that against you. I'll report back each time the city reaches a new build stage and on the things I discover. Great work NiguaD!
Thank you, I always try to integrate the SS2 plots in my creations so that they blend in with the decor
f you want to use Idek, you just have to change the type of municipal caravan plot
@@nigaud1520 I may just drop one of the com stations into an open space in the build... Appreciate the reply, fingers crossed that when fully built my system can handle the complete build... It's fickle, and some builds that others have probs with it does great with, while others, that people have no probs with, mine does.
This is what settlements in the original game should have looked like.
Hey mate just wanted to say your Sanctuary Plan was amazing, i can tell you put many many hours into building it. I used it for a while until unfortunately it caused me to CTD any time i got close to Sanctuary. I think the level of detail ended up being my downfall. Hopefully others dont have this same issue and can keep using it through their own playthrough, because it was an amazing plan. Thanks for your effort.
Did you also build up Red Rocket and Abernathy Farms?? If so, that may be causing the crash
@@AmuZah No i had only built on Sanctuary. I planned on starting on them after i finished with sanctuary.
You most likely had a power problem. That is the most common cause of CTD when going to Sanctuary. There are remote tools you can use to try and fix the power problem.
I fucking love your build! Deserves a lot more love! xD Great Job!
thank you Your work is also very impressive
@@nigaud1520 Thank you!
Man i love your work soo much its literally unbelievable where we started and where we are
Im having a problem with fps tho when i look at the direction In front of fallons shop
This is gnarly as fuck, I wish I had the patience.
Thanks.
Great job, very impressive and sophisticated. Feels like GPU is melting though >.
Impressive skills.
Thanks
Impressive indeed
inspiration approved, thanks man
Thanks
This looks cool as fuck, really makes me want to go back to play Fallout 4. Also you probably should clean the rubble on the streets to make it look more nice
Thanks
You know this is a tough place with tough laws when the first building you see is the police and jail complex.
Scrap that settlement mod helps cleap up the leaves, bushes n junk off the ground
Is there any add on pack of prewar builds? Like nice and clean that don’t look like trash?
Yes
its so cool
Thanks
You've done an amazing work with this one !
But which mods did you use to make it ?
I always wanted to "rebuild the Commonwealth", however I couldn't find any mod allowing me to do so much.
But once more, you've made an insanely great job with Sanctuary ! Well done !
Thank you very much. I use Sim Settlements 2 and Wasteland Reconstruction Kit.
@@nigaud1520 and do you think it works on Xbox ?
Because, I don't want to build at the same level of details, just having some sort of "roleplay" settlements.
@@doolittle555 Yes it works on Xbox.
Looks great! Too bad I can't do the same to my game since for some reason, my PC makes sounds like a fighter jet prepping up for takeoff when I'm in Sanctuary, even when I have built like, 2 wooden, 2 storied houses there...
Amazig bro, plase do moreof these
Thanks a lot
Gorgeous! Did you build each piece yourself?
A very large part
This is so cool! Did you build some of the stuff yourself, or is this all the layout that SS2 offers?
Thanks, there's both of them.
Great job mate. It's amazing. Just wondering myself. Are you using sim settlements 2 for this one and adding your own features within? Or this is all made by the sim settlements 2 system? And question 2 do you have a city leader on this or you just create the plots you need and just add stuff you like manually? Thx
It is a mixture of the two I build the city by integrating the ss2 plots.
OK thx a lot For your help
cette construction est exceptionnelle car construire vanille n'est pas facile tu as beaucoup d'imagination et de talent j'ai aimé regarder toute ta vidéo et j'ai bien aimé, continue ton excellent travail !
no scrap no mod except sim Settlements 2
Wow I've been hesitant to ditch S.S. for S.S. 2 but damn this is impressive. I was thinking about doing a new run so this has pretty much convinced me to change. But that framerate is something else, no wonder the video is over 4 minutes long. 🤣
I know that the video is of poor quality, I don't have the right equipment to make captures.
On the other hand the mod is fluid.
@@nigaud1520 Sorry wasn't meaning to sound like a dick. I was only joking. I know how bad FO4 can be when it comes to frame rate. I just started a new game and Sanctuary's looking great so far. I can't wait to see it in a few weeks game time.
@@nigaud1520 This is a great build & tour and the frame rate didn't bug me :)
@@Sepia3000 Thanks a lot.
I finally got sim settlement 2 on xbox it's great is there more stuff like this or just it and chapter 2
Not at the moment, chapter 2 has just been released
Very Nice! Which mayor did you put in charge?
Tbh I have no preference for mayors
OMG this is exactly how I wanted my sanctuary hills to look like. Why wont simsettlements 1 city plan authers never design like this without overcomplicating the area and building everything like raider headquarters. I really with your city plans were for simsettlements 1. 🥺
Sorry I don't have plan for SS1
Fucking sweet settlement dude can wait for my sanctuary to be like yours
Thanks
Sorry…new to this game and mod. So this is what develops overtime if you use the city plan? Or is this all self constructed? It looks amazing!
Both are possible
You can install the plan that will grow with time or you can install the finished city
@@nigaud1520 thank you! I’m starting to sort it out. I got the 3 in one mod. Still haven’t figured out the quest line.
Question. I Downloaded this and got it started. Some of the buildings were missing walls / roofs. I did however forget to download all the additional addons D: I got those downloaded. And I "reset" it, and still showing missing walls. Is this the first level or will this require a fresh save to work properly?
It’s a leveled plan, be patient. Wait for the settlers to finish the buildings
@@nigaud1520 THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME SHIT TON OF TIME
Is that like 30fps? It looks amazing, but can you actually move around without stuttering?
I have the problem of slowing down during video capture, my hardware is not good enough.
During the game it is much smoother.
All it needs is the No Hammer knock in sanctuary mod
I usually just scrap the tags using Scrap Everything.
I've recently started playing Fallout 4 on PS4 again, I played it when it 1st came out but NEVER got near finishing it. Since I started playing i now remember why I didn't finish it. How the quest list is not organised into groups and are listed as you get them put me off, so to my question I suppose. There's so much content on this game it's hard to find a decent order list of quests or the walk-through that tries to include as much as possible in 1 play thru. Could you maybe point me in the right direction?
I think you need to focus on finding your son Shaun. that's the main quest. but all the side quests allow you to gain experience and you will need it even if sometimes it's boring and repetitive.
@@nigaud1520 yeah I know shaun is the main story quests, I want to cover as much of the game as I can in 1 playthrough. The 1st time I played it any POI I came across I went in and then a few quests down the line I'd get sent to that place and have to do it again. I did the same with Skyrim, so I know if you do 1 quest it can stop you from doing other quests but if you do the 2nd one first then you can do the 1st one if you catch my drift. I'd like to do as much of the faction quests as I can for the experience points before having to choose 1
@@johnniequick1756 I don't want to spoiler you but you'll have to make choices.
You can get to Shaun without getting stuck with all the factions.
Just explore. Explore everything and talk to everyone.
But, you will have choices to make - there are limits to how much you can do for many factions before they reach points of having to choose (so is life...).
I know you can only go so far and I know that you can join the Institution. Basically what I'm wanting is to get as much done in 1 play through as possible quest ways. I already wonder off exploring and lose hours not really doing anything gathering parts. Alot of time is wasted walking to quests for me to find I'm not levelled enough so need to pick another quest, I'm a single dad that doesn't have as much time to game as I'd like
I notice you like the UFO streetlights as well. They're not part of SS2 yet, right? Must be a pain to power.
they are in the basic workshop
@@nigaud1520 Yes, I know. But the streetlights in SS2 don't consume power while these ones do.
Raiders, Gunners, Supermutants:Helo
is this only made with the SS2 addons?
Yes the whole base is vanilla the only mods needed are SS2 and its add on
Was this an auto build? Or done by yourself? Still learning about he mod. Thabks
I made the mod with the help of sim settlement 2, which allows auto build.
@@nigaud1520 This is great. I tried sim settlements 2. But apparently my 3060 couldn't keep up. I tried a city plan of one his award winning contest for SS2. Game kept crashing. Lol awesome build.
Did you get rid of the vanilla houses?
No, nothing is scrapped, I built with all the items in place.
How the hell do you get that much in Sanctuary without smacking up against the in game build limit? Seriously, I usually have to use console commands to get even half that much build in order to get around the build limit. My problem though is that once I start building past a certain point, saving and load times in one of my settlements takes a long time. Do you have this issue? And I don't have an old system either. It's a Ryzen 5 3600 with a Nvidia 2060 super, 32 GB of G.Skill FlareX 3200 RAM and the OZ and Games each on their own M.2 name sad.
I'm using a mod to get out of the limits of the game, I think it's visible from the size of the settlement.
As for the loading/saving times, this is a recent problem following the SS2/SS2 chapter2 updates.
The team is working on it
Is this a pickable city plan in the game
To install it the links are in the description
Man i cant figure out for the life of me how to build shit like this , how donyou get your settlers to keep upgrading buildings on their own or does it happen over time ?
you must use Sim Settlement 2
install this plan
assign settlers to plots
and it will build up over time
Do you need sim settlements 2 chapter 2 for this to work?
No when I made it, Chapter 2 wasn't out yet.
@@nigaud1520 awesome thanks
Legendary lag
It's not that easy to make so many lags, just give it a try and we'll talk.
Had to play a complely new game because so many settlements in my previous save (about 4, 3 of which is automatic with their own leaders). It crashes every damn 5 minutes, probably RAM got overloaded due to so many background automated tasks was being run. Note yourself, just one settlement using Sims 2 is enough. You don't need more than one anyway. Unless you have like 32Gb of RAM, which I have only 8Gb, knock yourself out.
It is not necessarily that which causes a crash even with a plan like mine which is rather heavy, there are so many things in a plan of city that it can enter in conflict with other mod like those which modify the ground for example.
But I agree that some plans are resource intensive.
@@nigaud1520 I already checked for mod conflicts. It was running fine before and then after sometime, it crashes more and more often. My expansion of settlements is proportional with the amount of crashes. There is only one logical explanation, I don't have enough RAM.
does the game feels laggy or heavy because of too many stuff???
It could
My computer would probably set itself on fire trying to load lv3 version of this settlement.
You can't know without trying.
Do your settlers just stand around too?
They use and work on the sim-settlements 2 plots.
@@nigaud1520 I can't get mine to do anything. They self assign and then just wander to a random spot and do nothing but idle animations. :(
@@aylapantswb Make sure the industrial plots are occupied, this will allow the other plots to develop.
As the city grows, it will offer recreational plots, bars and other activities.
There are also mods to make them more active.
@@nigaud1520 Thanks for replying! I've been googling around and it seems like there's just too much going on in my settlement for the game to keep up, and when that happens the first thing it it does is stop the NPC AI. Oh well. I learned if I use the "get back to work" feature I can at least force them onto their work plots.
Ever heard of that farm fun by gouls, isn't that sometin
Have a look

Nice build bro, what tree mod do you use?
Thank you, this is not a tree mod it's a complete vanilla kit for SS2. WRK : www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/48960
He shouldn't have made it 5 steps without it crashing. At least if he built up Abernathy farm and the Red Rocket stop too.
Well, no, mate.
Give it a try!
Cool music. It makes me want to ride a horse into the desert and do man shit.
Looks amazing but the FPS is rough
I have bad equipment for video capture
It's better when playing
@@nigaud1520 Gota ya, looks great either way.
It great but now my game just crash every time I step near that place
You can read the posts on the download page, we have found solutions for those who had crashes.
The causes are varied
Problem I'm facing is genuinely not understanding how this system works
You can find all the information on the download page
How's your framerate
Close to 60 but there are occasional drops
the free cam can cause stuttering too, which is to be expected with so many damn objects.
Where are the framerrates?
It depends
I was looking at this on my phone and my pc still crashed...hehe ..jokes aside, this is wow nice..well done.
Thanks
This makes Diamond City look like crap!
my xbox could never...
got CTD at settlement level 2
On level 2 there is an application of new plots, maybe you have a problem with one of the addons and it causes a cdt.
To see if it's from the city plan go to the City Manager holotape: Option/gameplay/city building/designer's choice and turn it off before going to level 2.
What’s the point? There’s just way to much lag and not enough Frames
Bravo
I'm glad you realised that
Whats your FPS?
No
about 30
I have an xbox, no need to ask: "Is this available on xbox?"
TBH I don't know if it works on XBOX
how install this????
With Sim Settlement
I was about to get Sim Settlement 2 but this lag put me off
Could be from other mods too. But once there's enough stuff in any settlement there's lag
Life is actually long
I really want this city plan but I can't get it to work. Future updates?
why it doesn't work ?
what is the problem ?
@@nigaud1520 the plan starts at lvl 0 fine but as it begins to upgrade itself it will CTD. I have tried all the tips used from nexus comments and still CTD. I've tried everything, even started new game with fewer mods! After hours of tweaking this for that, I just gave up! Thnx for replying I use other plans of yours without any problems so far but HOLY is in Hell currently, perhap I'll try to figure it out again after the aggravation from all the other issue this game creates begins to wear off!
When the plan upgrades, it uses Creation Club content "Slocum Joe", if you don't have it it cdt. You can dowload the optional file of Holly Sanctuary, does not require the Creation Club add-on, To be used in the layout workshop menu, applies the complete plan to the last level. And tell me if it works.
