Why did I buy this old rusty Zippo?

- I recently had a heart attack and had to spend some time in the hospital. I had seen this Zippo at an antique mall two blocks from my house and was debating getting it. Since they wanted $30 for it. While sitting in the hospital, I decided I wanted to purchase this Zippo and clean it up for my collection. The flint wheel is rust and will not move even after having drilled out the old flint. The hinge requires fixing as well with the case that needs a good cleaning. Will make a nice little cleaning project.

Thank you very much. It's actually surprising how good I feel right now with having correct blood flow through my heart. Only problem is having to take it easy so everything heals correctly while feeling better than I have in a while, lol.

Thank you. So far, with this lighter, I had to replace the cam spring. Was so rusted up that it broke when just sitting in vinegar, lol.

Feel better and recover fully! I only have a few Zippos I use for repairs and such, but they are the best for getting a small consistent flame.

Thank you. I agree with thank God for modern medicine. Definitely not an experience I would like go through again lol. Small insight as to how cleaning this Zippo has been going: needed to replace the cam spring. The old one was so rusted it fell apart when I soaked it in vinegar, lmao.

Oh man that's scary! I'm glad you're out of the hospital though. But I guess if they fixed up your artery that's a good reason to fix up a zippo! I'm excited to see how it turns out.
