Am loving this series! My dad used to take me on a random 'Breakfast Run". We would leave OKC, drive to the nearest Nickerson Farms near Purcell, OK, maybe 50 miles away, for some pancakes and eggs. Well, afterwards, he would say, " Should we go to Dallas for some home style tortillas from the Tortilla Factory?" I always said "YES!" He knew the owner of the Bakery that made them and we would load up on tortillas, all sorts of Mexican Bread and cookies. They also had a butcher shop next door and we would get some goat meat and they always had some cooked up, so we would buy some of that, put it on a tortilla and make goat meat tacos. Sometimes we would randomly drive 75 miles to a Dairy Queen for an Ice Cream Cone. Sure, there was a Dairy Queen a couple of miles away from the house, but he loved driving that big old Lincoln Continental and taking me with him. We went all the way to Laredo, Texas a few times. Lots of great memories! I guess I got that driving gene from him, nothing better than a big block motor in an old classic car just eating that road up. Am jealous of this truck, miss my old big block Olds 442.

Of course I am still loving your content and your honesty in showing ALL of the issues of the trip. The only part I don't really like is seeing the iconic American highway history dying. That is not your fault and is not a slight against your content. This really showcases how much we as Americans do not support small businesses. Mom and Pop stores/ motels etc. are quickly falling away and the back roads that were the backbone of this nation are slipping away into obscurity. What a blessing it is for Bentley to travel with his dad and encounter all these problems, and solve them
Terrific video Derek. Catch you down the road apiece. Keep having fun and you two guys stay safe 👍🇺🇸
Been watching this series and it's great. I've always wanted to go on route 66 but never have. Thanks for recording this. Sad though there are not more investors buying and fixing up those old abandoned buildings
Looks like you and the little one are having a blast he will look back on that forever!
A Leap Forward on styling for Ford at the time as we all know I'd give anything to have a wagon
Why is is that "multiple break downs" in the video title makes me so much more likely to click it?
Thanks for the ride along - always a fun experience! 😎
Imitation is a nice form of gratitude, these people really like you. You're awesome Derek and fam.
🇺🇸
Wooo brother day 4 glad to see yuh still trucking strong 💪 👍🤟
😂 little dude drug rugs. That’s what we called them in highschool too lol that’s hilarious.
Get you a 12 vdc, inline fuel pump. Problem solved
Thanks Derek & Bentley for bringing us along down old Route 66!
Parenting done right. Great work Derek.
Such a blast from the past! I started riding in my dad's tractor trailer cross country when I was 10. Remember so many of these stops like it was yesterday. Blessed to cross 48 states off my list while riding with him. So cool you are doing this with your son. Very emotional time for me to see this again. Thanks for sharing!
The music you have in the background when you’re cruising reminds me of Wyatt and Billy , going down the road to Nola, you guys are really kicking it , awesome experience.
Ty Derek!! I love ur videos!!! U doing awesome teaching that young man and being a cool dad
Love your channel really helps me get through boring times at the barracks here in camp Lejeune. Ooorrraaaa!
Thank you for your service Sir!!

This is by far my favorite content you have done and I love all your videos.
Use to put a dab of stickey grease on side of rod and it would help hold up rod when you put on a new fuel pump
Love this whole series. Reminds me of the trips I went on with my dad growing up. I think the videos you have with family in them are the best ones
What an awesome adventure for you and the little human! Great family content for you and us. Keep up the great work!
Such a good series this Route 66 adventure is turning out to be! Thanks for taking us along.
Kudos to you young man for the smarts...u never cease to amaze..u have come a long way young man...
18:22 I expect there is a hole in the ozone layer directly above the Cadillac Ranch!
Hello handsome😊😀Bentley I mean, you're having the time of your life! We are happy to see that you're learning and enjoying hanging with dad.Enjoy guys! I'm off to work now! Love the content Derek!♥️✌🏽🇺🇸🙋🏽♀️
Thank you again Derek for showing this part of America, sad that it is so rarely seen.
The Edsel would be interesting, but also I believe frustrating. It'd be an awesome video or series, because Derek and Vice Grip Garage.
Much love and blessings to all ❣️
Stay safe everyone 🤘😎
Absolutely great video sir.I love how you include the little man in a lot of your productions along with other family too.Keep on keeping on and I'll be waiting for your next adventure.
This has probably been one of the most enjoyable videos on the channel I mean there’s endless videos like the paint at cadillac ranch but I have loved every second of these it’s so much more than the trip it’s self! Very cool stuff Bieris!
I work 2nd shift 😫 but digging your trip. Love it keeping it real with the square body for some inertainment late night 🌙, God Bless brother
I bet your little grip is having the time of his life. You a good pop for taking him
I love this man's vocabulary.
