Ladies, I’m telling you this man has shed sooo much light on life , dating, education and self development, it’s amazing. I just wish I would have listened along time ago. Thank you Steve !
They date men who can't answer any of those questions. And the ladies give them sex anyway. The ladies don't like to cook and they will be upset when the guys all say they like a woman who cooks.
Well don't say all. Women motives definitely shakey as well. I believe it's more woman that use men for free meals than it is men tryna have sex after the first date.
completely agree I've been with females who loved the fact that I can do things for them. Bringing up marriage on the first date is coming off too strong. Marriage might be the goal for both but when you bring it up on the first date and you don't even know where the guy works is just ludicrous. Marriage and starting a family is a commitment and a first date is not where we talk about commitments its where we try to get to know each other to see if we are even compatible
People write here that they will run if someone ask them this, but the truth is that if someone that like you , he will not run away, also if he feel confident about his answers, you don't need to ask it like interview but with a smile
They date thugs off the street, anyway because they don't want to work to please a man. They don't want to practice cooking, but your family needs nutrition to function.
All of those are very reasonable questions. I am serious about my life. So I am ready. You can mess your life up if you chose the wro g dude. If I decided he was worth further consideration, I would put him in a situation to meet men that I respect. They can check him out. Now I will still have men in the rotation. Because we are just getting to know each other. There is no commitment.
Nope, he has SOOO many errors when he think he knows some thing which he does not, also you do not. Men are different. There are males and then there are men too. So, that dude does not know all of them, he probably do not even ask them enough questions bcz they just friends and do not plan to f them or some thing. Whatever, point is that all males are different and it is very hard for many if they conceal it well enough, to know. The smart ones know sure, but point like I said, he does not know. All.
I think the first date should be more spontaneous than going through a list of premeditated questions--a few sprinkled here and there is fine, but the meeting should be relaxed and fun.
That's what I don't think Steve or anyone else fully understands. Or maybe I'm just too young 🤷🏾♀️ I'm on a date trying to enjoy myself with you and see if I like you enough to keep going, not trying to get into Harvord tf lmao A couple questions here abd there is fine on both ends but a Hell I got a profession easier than some of these women be interviewing dudes here nowadays
I pray that I get to meet Steve Harvey one day. As a 23 yr old, I learned a lot and applied it to myself. I just wish I had the funds to go to a show. But in the mean time I’ll just watch him on tv and on UA-cam ! Btw! Him and my Dad LOOKS JUST A LIKE I SWEAR! Many people has said it lmao!
I met him when I was 19 in 99 and I’ll always cherish that moment he talk to me, like a real dad. My father was horrible to his whole family and I lost my mom because of him. I know Steve is not perfect but he’s a perfect example of what a real man and husband and father is supposed to be like. I lost two of my siblings and my sister would have chosen better and valued herself if he was loving… but he put his hands on all of us. I fought back and called the cops on him and left my senior year. I can even repeat the verbal abuse he said to me and everybody heard him. My poor mom kept trying to get away from him.
One of the few times I gotta say Steve nailed it. No real man will have issues with these questions. Neither should the women as well. This is the most critical decision of your life besides giving your life to God, so you better treat it that way!
Those questions are great for ourselves actually. I'm a 27 years old married man and for some of them questions I did not have a ready answer that I firmly believe in.. Thanks Steve!
Yup! Let’s get to the point real questions and real answers! I love it! It’s most def an interview... for you to enter my life! Life is too short to waste it.
I feel it's only right since you commented on my post that I comment on yours..A good man's agenda, contrary to some women is NOT to waste a woman's time..All of us carry baggage from one relationship to the next and some portions of our soul are more difficult to bear than others..If you approach a date as an interview you have already put yourself at a disadvantage..Temper your expectations, notice I didn't say lower or settle..Some women try to find a husband on the 1st date which isn't reasonable..Now I'm not saying wait 6 to 8 months but geeze within a 2 hour date you wanna know about this man's parents, his job, his FICO score, blood type, aliases, social security etc..The 1st is normally an audition shouldn't be a on the spot job interview with a built in background check at the dinner table..Lol!!
Sid Falcon we don’t know what a mans agenda is regardless so it’s best to not be naive about it lol like I said in the comment under yours, the questions can be broken up into different dates and conversations but I think knowing IF some one has goals is a really good question. They are being interviewed to be in your life. You can beat around the bush and waste time if you want... life’s too short for it!
I'm fully on board with the first date doesn't have to tell you absolutely every last detail about a person right then and there. Me and my wife never needed all that and damn sure didn't have my life figured out to the letter like Steve is implying needs to be the case, not even close. And I definitely never had a 2-week plan. Whatever that entails.
Those questions make sense. From a man's perspective, I propose 2 of the reasons why some men might not like the questions. 1. They know you won't like their answer. Meaning, they probably don't have their act together and those questions will expose that. They have nothing of value to bring to the table. 2. Their true intentions have nothing to do with the questions. Meaning, parental relations and long term goals don't matter if he only wants to "hit it and quit it". However, any responsible man who wants the real deal would jump at the opportunity to answer the questions because they offer him a chance to sell/prove himself to you. Which is what a responsible man craves. So if he doesn't like those questions ...there's a reason why. Let him keep it moving.
These are great questions, as a guy when a girl approaches me with stuff like this it's a lot more interesting than someone who has nothing to talk about just some superficial bs
2:10 and 2:47 I asked myself those very questions and I got some intriguing answers. I'm going to ask my crush these very same questions and hopefully she'll see that I'm not just going for looks and really want to be with her.
I tell men to ask questions too because they feel they can’t….but they have every right too because I see so many men ending up with the wrong woman. I give my brother advice too because these women are something else too… I ask a man questions because I grew up in a abusive household so I gotta know some things… and they wind up revealing their true colors. Caucasian and Latino men don’t mind me asking questions but the black guys do because they are usually not serious and that’s just my experience.
I’d love if a woman asked me these questions, but she has to be able to answer them herself. I can’t be in a one-way interview all night without getting to know her just as well
Gotta say that I agree with Steve on this one. IF you're a quality individual you welcome these type of questions. Need to find some quality woman like her in Charlotte, NC LOL!!
I actually would have a problem with all these questions TBH. Maybe one or two but certainly not most (or all) of them. Surely a date is supposed to be an enjoyable time with someone, asking all these questions just makes it seem I'm doing an interview for a job application. Interviews aren't fun. Maybe the meaning of dating has changed or I just see things differently from others. Oh well.
+It'z Me!! I have no problem getting asked these questions on a First date as far as "when" is concerned, but for me a conversation doesn't flow as well if I feel I'm being interviewed, or possibly even interrogated, which he/she can possibly come of as. Now I completely agree with that *some* of these should come up, and you should definitely try and get to know what the person does and doesn't like, but I'd question the relevancy of some of them. And while we're being honest here, a lot of these are too interview based, particularly the second half of the 14. I just don't see how two people can enjoy themselves when one is consistently asking questions and analyzing the answer, while the other is answering oping not to have made a mess of them. I think that while dating is about gathering data, it should also be about establishing compatibility between two people. Am I also not a huge plan of the whole "5 year plan" question either. It's good to have long term goals, but a lot can happen in 5 years which may have to cause people to alter their plans. But still you're spot on about needing to get to know people before you build, I guess I'm just not a fan of this particular route.
Questions are involved in a conversation. It’s a good way to keep a conversation going. You won’t ask a question then get an answer then ask another like an interview. You will ask a question, converse about it, answer the same question and converse about it as well. It’s not just straight shooting out questions.
As a man, I must say, I like these questions! I honestly wish more of my dates WOULD ask questions like this. It makes me feel like she thinks she can see something in me that if I answer in her favor, I might have a shot at eternity with this woman!
Advice - stop trying to win over your dates favor. Be yourself and if you two mesh, great. You'll never get a worthwhile relationship trying to be what woman want you to be.
Just answer any question you get Honest and if it is not in your favour so what? A relationship should at least not start wrong and lying is obviously never gonna be in your favour. So, yep, only be yourself that is true.
I feel like, people are afraid to ask questions, where the answer might me a pill, ahrd to swallow, but you need to know certian things. and asking these is often harder then answering

I would tweak it based on if I know the guy at all, and would split some of these questions up between the first few dates. They’re all valid questions especially if we’re grown and not trying to waste time. Two mature adults can talk about their future plans and be honest about what they do or do not have together. If dating, then I go in knowing what I’m willing to sit and wait for and what not to.
It’s not about tricking them... what’s tricking when you’re literally putting it on the table. I don’t want a grown ass man who doesn’t have a plan LMAO and you shouldn’t want a woman with no plan either! If you’re getting to know someone it IS an interview for them to be in your life. Y’all would rather not know people and look stupid in the end. Naw
Im dating a guy on long distance right now and I am asking all this questions and i must say he is really doing well. But of course we're both taking the time to really get to know each other and hopefully meet in person before making any decisions
Also, obviously, have to know they are his Genuine answers and not to be flattering or reply like as if he wants that (in an ideal world kinda thing and whatever), but yet he does not do it, surely that makes sense.
The minute she said she couldn’t ask about a 5 year plan or talk about marriage, as a man I though “why the hell not”? I’d rather find out whether or not we’re compatible on day 1 rather than on day 1,000. Those “interview” type of questions are very important.
Are you kidding? Over twenty years married and if I asked my husband most of these questions he would feel defensive. Different cultures have different ways. I think to ask on a first date is sad. Can you laugh together, feel relaxed. Laughter will carry you through difficult times and being each other's friend. The more you want, the easier it is for you to manipulated by sweet words or someone saying what you want to hear because they have their "2week, or two date" plan.
100% agree. These are good questions to find answers to, but you have to find them in a natural way. Gotta build trust and chemistry with the other person which takes time.
Yes! Because if they are hoping to get an interview for their dream job then they'd be even more excited to get an interview for their dream girl. 😘 They better come to us ready and dressed their best👏🏼

GORGEOUS!!!! ❤😍
Wow . She's gorgeous 😻
Good Ansa!!!
A date is suppose to be fun not an interview
Especially the first date. First impressions count for a lot and doing this sets the tone for the rest of the dates and potential relationship...
She is beautiful😍😍😍😍

Yes! Because if they are hoping to get an interview for their dream job then they'd be even more excited to get an interview for their dream girl. 😘 They better come to us ready and dressed their best👏🏼
