I don’t see it that way! A lot of people move in before marriage and it turns out successful! Where as others wait till marriage and can’t cohabitate together. Different strokes for different folks! I do believe living with your significant other plus his parents is a NO! Don’t ever do it

Why would you want to move in with your boyfriend's mother? That's like being at home with your mother. Now you got a whole new set of rules to go by. And you living under someone elses roof. Women don't always get along under each other. I wouldn't do it. Stay at home until you can get your own place.

In my situation it was better than where I moved out from but it was still bad. I'd rather be treated bad by ppl who don't care about me anyway than the ppl who r family and suppose to be helipng u out but they're the ones putting u down

She don't know how that woman is going to treat her living under her roof. It's best that they get their own place. It's nothing like living on your own.

Another thing we agree on they should get their own place or at least rent a room somewhere else. I think they have financial problems. She maybe illegal here and can't work legally. I'm not judging but I've been there. Maybe he's not working that's y he lives with his mom. Just my guess. I don't see them being able to afford rent.

Like you said it could be a deeper reason like immigration issues and unemployment. In my opinion I just don't think this is a reasonable thing to do. Unless she is homeless. When I was a teenager, this was my story. My mother's boyfriend didn't want me around so I no longer felt wanted by both of them. This young girl's situation must be really bad because no girl wants this for herself.

If he invited her to his place to live with him and meet his mother, she must be special to him. I know somegirls will say, they must get get his own place and have their own privacy, but its how things are. Either his financial status is not great or he is taking care of his mom, she must be thankful to him and the lady.

she was living with her aunt,...perhaps that suggests there already was an issue with her living with her Mum for many different reasons
Maybe her mam didn't have space. My nana only had one bedroom and not much space living in a bungalow as we call it in the uk. Couldn't have moved in if my parents marriage broke down.

My mom would never! I never understood parents who allow their children’s bf/gf to live with them or sleep over. Your bf/gf needs to get their OWN place then move you in or have you sleep over.... to me it’s disrespectful. As a woman I wouldn’t even feel comfortable doing that. I have adult gf’s over 27 who sleep over their adult boyfriends parents house, and they think they’re winning. I tell them all the time you look dumb asf. They damn near 30, and you running to go stay with him at his momma house? NO shade to anyone who lives with their parents. Not everyone has it like that, but if you don’t have your own place theres no reason your bf/gf are living there or sleeping over. Do better! 😑

Man, these young people are not to bright today. Dating a guy for two years and already ready to move in with him? Okay.. I've just moved in with my BF AND his mom. Luckily, she and I do have a bond though!! I'm seeing a lot of positive in this situation. I have mom training me on how to take care of her son; how he likes his coffee, etc. .. that might sound a little cray cray, but my cup is half full. 🤣🤣

I never understood the resentment for this man to have his mother living with him. Never was explained the nature of the situation. And also the girlfriend only said she wanted to bond with his mother better. What has that, have anything to do with that man's financial and social stability? People you must understand, some cultures embrace filial duty to ones parents. Once you get a full scope of the situation then judge.

Oh god, this reminded me of a story I'd read on reddit! Girl moved in with the boyfriend and his parents. Mom did NOT like her to begin with. Dad was a little better but still not really her best Ally... One day she got fired or something and came home crying. She broke down and started talking about how she only wants to make a life for herself but she's got no one in her corner. Toxic mom had thrown her out when she was 15, no dad and now she'd been fired because she accused the manager of sexual harassment. Boyfriend's mother got into the room, shouted at her for crying, pushed a hot cup of tea into her hand and sat her down for a lecture on how you've gotta get up and keep going. She relayed her own experience of working in a misogynistic office years ago when it was worse. She told her, at least you have options to go get a lawyer etc today. Girl cried and said she didn't have money for a lawyer. Dad had been at the door listening. He went out and came back with a card of a lawyer. He was a friend. Told her he'll try to take care of the expense. Told her to go fight. Girl broke down and for the first time, mama gave her a hug. Then yelled at her son to go get her some water... She then told the girl, don't expect warm fuzzy stuff from me... I don't do that. But that don't mean I don't love my babies... And just like that, girl had a family!

I had moved in with my husband's mother it was good for years until her true colors came out and we couldn't stand each other, we had to move out and it was the best thing we ever did, sooo basically go get your own home is better and u make your own rules!

When I lived with my ex mother and law I would not be intimate with her son. However, as a teenager, I will say he was a mother scutcher for a day or two! Now he still pursued when we were living there, but I was not having it. Lol. Good advice steve. His mom was still evil! My son bleached her bathroom carpet with comet, so i bought her a better one and threw that out. She scolded me so bad.
We did have some type of bond though. She told me to eat chips instead of sweets for my diabetes, which is still carbs.
I only wanted to move with her to bond because she didn't really like me, until she saw how evil his new cleaning agent of a girlfriend was who came along and would not let them visit her. His girlfriend was equivalent to swallowing bleach. Just a cursing cleaning agent. Lol
