1:41 UNBELIEVABLE! That last bounce ~ which has to be one of the biggest ever seen ~ and the pilot _still_ brings it back down for another attempt at landing!
I'd love to know how many passengers were NOT praying/crying/screaming when it came in to land minutes later.
I was glad the pilot managed to get the main gear under them for that bounce into the go-around. If the nose gear had hit first again it could have been messy.
All the ones who were already unconscious out of fear
1:53*
or unconscious from the first landing 💀@@sailaab
fedex 80:
Wow, that water assisted STOL landing was ridiculously awesome!
Those brakes were loud as hell, lol. **GROONK**
Wanted to see the Super Cub take off again from that spot.
Aren't they afraid of puncturing the tires on that stone bank?
@@u2bear377 They have special tires for STOL.
Legend says, it's still in that spot, looking for a way to take off.
"Water assisted landing". What is that???
@@lourensgeldenhuys9377using the water resistance to slow down, thus decreasing landing distance required on dry land
That atr still attempting a landing after like 4 bounces is crazy, those pilots should be investigated
Looked like PIO (Pilot Induced Oscillation), AKA ‘Porpoise Maneuver’… 😅
My jaw dropped when they descended that last time, I thought that was it
ATR trying to be kangaroo
I thought what I was seeing was a passenger attempting to land the plane for the very first time
@@brandonthesteeleya, they were lucky to avoid the tarmac on the final drop….pulled it just in time!
0:30 Hats off to the guy running at the back recording it all on his iPhone 11 attached to a massive selfie-stick
lol, is that what that was? came here to ask. I guess they get touchy about drones on the apron.
@@y00t00b3r[Stock] drones kinda must be unable to fly in proximity of an airport.
@@y00t00b3r the willy-nilly handling of it, not worried about keeping it stable and pointed, makes me think it's a 360 degree camera like an Insta360
yea imo it’s an insta360 camera
The comments are cracking me up. Dude with the 10 foot tall selfy stick, running like "hey, guys, wait up! Guys?" 😂🤣😂🤣
That last bounce was scary as hell
That ATR-72 was bouncing like a bunny 😄
almost replicated fedex :VV
They had just played Mario 64 and needed that last jump to go around
Rumour has it that it's still bouncing down the runway. 😂😂
Baby kangeroos are chasing it because they think its there mother
😂😂😂
Calling that CanaryFly landing "terrible" is actually an understatement.😄
My first thought was "Must be windy", but in the first few seconds a windsack can be seen on the right side of the screen, showing low to medium wind at best. They just fucked it up big time. With that last bounce I actually thought they are gonna completely crash the plane.
the last bounce was a testimony to the engineers who desgined that landing gear
Yep, I thought he was already doing the go around and yet plunked down once more. Horrible.
I fly radio control model planes and see "the porpoise" all the time. But it is impressive to see it unfold at this size.....much slower and scarier.
The windsock seen at 1:59 onwards clearly shows a very strong wind blowing down the runway.
It takes certain amount of talent to bounce an airplane like that on runway though.
The first one of the Avro wasn't an explosion of the airplane. It was a training excercise for the fire department. The explosion was betwean the Fokker and the Avro.
Yeah. I replayed it a few times (before the narrator said it was an exercise) and realized that it didn't appear to be an explosion on any plane. I thought maybe it was a start cart between the planes.
I noticed that!! Ho Hum!
No shit.
click bate
How'd you guys not pick that up immediately?
The CanaryFly ATR72 pilots...wow.
One of the worst landings I’ve ever seen. ATR is actually a pretty nice airplane to land
How the nose gear survived that I will never know, must be made of strong stuff.
It was my son ok, he's the best pilot in the world my Gregorio
@@carlosa7807 Which ATR?
The one at 1:42
Captain Kangaroo really gets around.
First time I've been click baited on this channel 🧐
Yeah right.
Thanks for sharing! Love these videos, keep em coming!! 🎉🎉
It happened behind the plane as a controlled fiery explosion without blast for security measures as it was part of the exercise.
2:26 you know when an airbus doesn't yell the r word at you when it lands it's being nice to you
Now we know who hires former Aerosucre and Ryanair pilots! Ouch!!!😬😳
They _train_ pilots for R. and A.!
Guys you're onto a winner this this channel, nice editing, nice packaging. You don't have to resort to stupid click-bait headlines/thumbs. They're getting tiresome.
Why not?
Even though the "plane explodes at airport" was a farce. You're right, no stupid click-bait headlines.
Absolutely love your videos!
These videos make my weekend better, thanks for posting!
this is one of the greatest hits. haha never fail to deliver
the cockpit at 2:06 is breathtaking. that alone almost gives me the ambition to find a way to start my aviation path.
Start by finding a ton of money somewhere
Computer games
The view is best from up front, mate!
Always wondered why the -Dash8- (see below) doesn't have a tail-skid like the 727 since it lands/takes off in such a weird attitude.
it wasn`t a Dash 8 !
Whoops. my bad. Although after looking into the matter further, the ATR 72 actually *does* have a tail skid while the Dash 8 - as far as I can tell - still doesn't... which makes me still curious about the original question, my own failure to read the captions notwithstanding. 🤣
Thanks for sharing
It was the first time coach meals were hot in years.
Love how the Super Cub curtseyed for the audience.
I think it was a bow rather than a curtsey. The tail skid and wheel dictate that this was a male cub.
And yes, pun intended with the use of the word dictate.
@@mikearmstrong8483 lol thats hilarious, I thought so too but the wings so beautifully exemplified the splaying of the dress, so just had to go in that direction.
@@jamesrebbechi5247
Be careful how you word that. That could be misinterpreted.
Nothing to worry about, just keep boarding.
That Super Cub ending was fun :)
This video was full of interesting clips! 😮👍
wow! lanzarote spain canary fly! i live there in the canary islands! thanks for including that
A question about the clip @ 0:41 The ATR 72-600.
Are planes designed & built to withstand a tail strike like that?
Nope. That is why the plane suffered structural damage which must be repaired before it flies again.
YES. a little bit. there is a kind of surface at their tails that can detect tailstrike and that area is a Lil bit reinforced.
@4evertrue830 it depends on the level of the damage. there are some tailstrikes that don't damage the surface but regardless that, the plane still needs to be inspected for precaution, as aviation works
Not exactly, a few planes have crashed as a result of tail-strikes in the past. Take JAL Flight 123 for example
1:42 a very similar Landing happened like two or 3 weeks ago at Valencia Airport by a Royal Air Maroc ATR 72
epok video as always!
Is the Pressure and Low pay of pilots and crews (maintenance included) the cause off all these or other kind off fails?
I love these videos everything layed out wonderfully
I really love how you don't jerk people around and bury the titled content near the end... Already sub'd, but just wanted to speak on that... Thanks!!!
CanaryFly ATR-72 was fortunate not to break the nose gear. Go around was definitely the right call.
That water assist landing was impressive
1:01 that could seriously affect the tail section of the plane
NO SHiT
2:09 the verbal cockpit sounds like a therapist 🤣🤣
If the creator of this video had just put “seemingly” somewhere in the title, half the comments on here would be null 😀
An ATR 72 was harmed in the making of this video.
CanaryFly hiring pilots that didn't make the cut at Aerosucre ?
Now I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the Azul airlines tail-strike was because the wind died suddenly or they had a sudden tailwind, causing them to drop quickly
You can see the elevator on that T-tail moving all over the place as they tried to adjust!
@@harvey364 That's a good point!
I hope the AeroSucre guys are ok. Haven't seen a clip from them in a long time 😮
Sink rate! sink rate!
I knew exactly what was coming at 1:32. Landing nose first is just asking for an oscillation scenario. The nose strut compresses and rebounds causing the mains to come down and bounce thereby causing the nose to come down even faster next time etc... The first bounce might've been recoverable, the second should've been a go-around, and the others were just completely and needlessly reckless.
0:59 You can see the little fire after the ATR 72 did the tailstrike by accident
Great video!😸
The explosion appears to be training or a movie being made. Notice the guy chasing the responders with a long pole with a camera on top besides the fact that the explosion was on the ground directed up and not on the aircraft. If anything unplanned maybe a runaway ground APU but the camera guy in tow and blast only directed up ehhhh.
did it say 5 before hitting the tarmac?
Why does the BAe146 have 4 engines?
0:16
Someone activated that Power Play way too early.
The erupted plane doesn't seem to be the Bae146. The expolison looks like happened at the aft of the turboprop that stands next to it, or between those two.
1:16 that’s not Bristol that’s Luton Airport.
1:28 CanaryFly is astonishing. There must me more somewhere to know about this.
I don’t understand the autothrottle one. What would have happened if he didn’t override it? And why is it on in the first place while landing?
For a go-around in case he wasn't able to land the first time. The auto throttle will engage.
Airbus keeps a lot of its automation on from wheels up to wheels down. The autothrottle was doing just fine maintaining approach speed but the pilot in command felt he wanted just a couple more knots and bumped the power up a tad. Nothing out of the ordinary at all, its all about feel since he was hand flying the approach. Otherwise, the auto throttle is pretty much controlling every aspect of the engines through the whole flight.
The autothrottle react slowly to speed change in fcu, so the captain push the throttle faster which disconnect the autothrottle. The A220 autothrottle is capable to be used on landing. It will retard the throttle at 30 ft agl, regardless the approach type.
Captain to Stewardess: Hey, honey! Would you like to have a go at landing?
Stewardess: Sure thing. It can't be difficult.
At 1:06 that Wizzair landing is at Luton Airport not Bristol
That CanaryFly landing reminded me of the FedEx 80 crash. Glad it didn't crash!

2:22 Ryanair’s smoothest landing
The ATR 72 clip was also Azul Lihnas Aeras’ Brazil special livery 😢
i think i have seen that exact avro jet during a tour at FRA airport :D
The Wizz Air landing was at London Luton Airport, not Bristol.
At 1:58 the pilot takes control and performed the go-around. His only option.
That was a bad landing attempt. You could see he flared early and tried to put it down on the nose, causing it to porpoise. Should’ve gone around well before they did
@@simpilot001
I only pointed out that this landing was probably being attempted by the co-pilot and at 1:58 in the video is when the pilot took back control of the aircraft.
@@freedomforever6718 I didn’t say otherwise, I just said the pilot in command should’ve gone around earlier

First one was the 2023 ICAO rescue exercise at Cologne Bonn Airport.
I love the brazilian videos, they always have the best comments by the author kkkkkkk
Wow the first one got me 😅😅
The canaryAir pilot was just trying to get a good enough bounce for the go-around, 10/10 flying.
2:20 that glass cockpit tho>>>>>>>>
1:30 new PIO demonstration video, right there
Why did they attempt the last one. Looked like the flying pilot decided to go around and the other pilot took over and tried to force it in. Incidentally, I think the last bounce caused the most damage.
@@Bren39 I thought exactly the same thing. Nuts.
What is wrong with the canaryfly?? It looks like they are in for a good landing until the aircraft starts to bounce like Tigger from Whinnie the Pooh. What happens here?
pilot induced oscillation. Basically overcorrecting on the controls
@@joeg5414 Yeah, that is probably it, while still kinda strange as it had such a nice, stable final
This Azul plane tailstrike, I already knew it. It passed in tiktok at Metropoles
There was no airplane explosion it was between the two aircraft.
Read the narration on the video.
nice videos
That BAE 146 registration D-AMAX is registered to a TUI fly Boeing 737 max 🤔
0:50 That must be a downwind. There was no change to aircraft configuration. Pilots tried to compensate increase in descent by pulling up but even that did not help.
Does anyone know why that BAe 146 exploded? That was no Ryan Air pilot in the ATR 72...those guys know how to put the plane on the ground.
Bae 146 was a training exercise for firemen
Back in the day, we called that an engine "hot start"😂
just imagine you're waiting for takeoff and you just see an airplane kabooming up
😮Oh my goodness.
That explosion was done on purpose I know who did it it was a pyro company
You don't say?
Yeah it only says that in the video 5 seconds after the explosion
The plane looked ok after the "explosion"
Did you think it was a coincidence, that explosion immediately before a safety exercise? #YouNeverCanTell
It looks like some sort of training exercise. The planes have minimal markings and the props are missing off the plane right in front of it. These are just junk airplanes
It's amazing how the ATR was landing nose wheel first since the beginning. And the last bounce... damn!
Maybe a kid that plays MSFS stole the plane? xD
Wizzair nailed it IMHO
1:35 it almost redid Fedex flight 80...
So the plane didn't really explode then did it !!!
0:50 azul 123😮
Yeah, that’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.
That first clip was not worthy of you.
1:54 is basically young me in MFS2004 trying to land with just a keyboard

That Wizz landing is butter for Ryanair :)

It's better to not flare at all than to flare late.
1:47 blud wanted to recreate fedex flight 80 and 14
I'd Name the ATR 'Tigger' ..... What a bouncer ..... also on that ICAO Emergency Exercise why does the person at the back assume a Fishing Rod would be a good bit of emergency equipment? 😂 Nice Vids as ever love them Quinny
