Adam Levine sang it and it was good but you can tell it didn't mean anything to him. When you hear Gregg sing it you can feel the passion in his voice...you can tell this song meant something to him.
Felix Brown he didn’t like the limelight and consciously didn’t ’go big’, he hated touring and the interviews and everything. Truly just in it for the music.
He isn't a singer, he is a musician. The difference is he is a complete package. There are better voices out there but he writes and sings and does with feeling. For that reason he is truly great.

This song really hit home as I deal with the unexpected loss of my father. I still hear his voice call my name and feel him with me every day. Music heals and this song is so healing for me right now. This musician is truly a gift and a genius.

Well he passed and then the song blew up on the radio, video, etc. I view it as message from him threw you and I thank you. It's true, in life you get what you put in and music saves and heals. When the New Radicals released their CD in 1998 I was 24 and Gregg Alexander sings with such passion, he can make anyone teary eyed when his tone is combined with his lyrics. He has such a gift that select few in the music industry have. This song shows he's still got it. I've read he is fed up (rightfully so) with the industry and I hope to see more videos from him.

I discovered this song two nights ago through the movie "Begin Again" and am obsessed with it. The beautiful composition paired with such deep, meaningful lyrics pulled me into a place I haven't been to in a long time. What a stunning song!

Have been a huge fan of Gregg Alexander since New Radicals and was quite sad he chose to go behind the scenes. He is an amazingly talented lad, not just for his beautiful writing ability, but also for that amazing voice that touches a person rather deeply. However, I quite understand wanting to distance himself from the melee and commercialism of the music business. It is not for everyone and can destroy some people. It is sad that because of this, younger people have lost out hearing his voice and the amazing lyrics he writes directly from himself. Was quite the treat to watch him perform "Lost Stars." So thank you Alvin K. for posting it.
I was listening to songs I liked in the 90s showing my kids, and of course one of them is "You Get What You Give" by New Radicals and although i knew they stopped, I was super impressed to know that he composed Lost Stars, I watched that movie and I was impressed with that song. This guy is super talented and on top of his game. COME ON GREGG, ONE MORE ALBUM.
When I first heard the New Radicals album, I liked every song but after 3-4 listenings, I fell deeply in love with them all. Same with this one, heard in on youtube a few times, but today it was pure, deeply painful and emotional and I'm so in love with it. Adam Levine's acoustic version is also fantastic, but there's something so beautiful about Gregg.

Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too came out when I was 11. It meant the world to me. I've listened to that one CD through every step of my life since. I'm 27 now. It wasn't until a couple of years ago (with youtube) that I was able to hear all of his other unreleased stuff, I'm still in awe of his talent and the connection his music makes with me.

Having addicted to the song for years, it would be a big regret of mine if I didn't randomly discover Gregg's version. It's a true masterpiece.
