As a songwriter, I have so much respect for Gregg Alexander. He's written a lot of brilliant songs. This one genuinely gives me goosebumps. Just superb!
Gregg Alexander doesn't know it , but he indirectly saved my life in 1999 when i first heard the song "You Get What You Give" on the radio while i was driving,.it turned me around ...life's a trip. :)
A música "We get what We give" também tem mudado a minha vida. Difícil explicar, mas quando a ouvi, eu senti que alguma coisa tinha que mudar e o quanto eu estava jogando fora o dom da vida. Sorry for rely it in Portuguese, I'm still learning English. Um abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷 #BR
I know I'm correct when I guessed that this is Gregg's song. It just sounded too much like his songs. The depth and meaning is so sublime. Thank God for artists like him.
BOSS!! Gregg thank you for this jewel and for The New Radicals. The year now is 2016 and I still playing "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too" every single day since 1998.
+TracyUK58 those people in the audience that then saw the Oscars etc were like 'Oh Sh** I saw that guy sing at our local venue and I was talking like I didn't care"
Greg is genuinely an insane talent. Maybe you’ve been brainwashed is still my favourite album to this day. I have always been desperate for him to come back and do some Music up until recently. I watched loads of stuff about his thoughts on the industry, and being a front man touring effectively blocked him from writing everyday and creating amazing work. He said he had been a musician for 12 years, and “you get what you give” was just a snapshot of his life. I suppose I’d rather he wrote all the time, lived a happy life, and appreciate what we got back in the 90s. Can’t imagine him wanting to try and sell millions of records for some big record company..... take it easy Greg... you are... the best.
who is still watching this in 2020? i always listen to Gregg when i kinda need to get back to myself in some points of my life (or simply just appreciate Gregg's songs)
Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisboise are proof that lightning can and does strike more than once or twice. Their compositions seem to strike right at the heart of the audience. Artists should thank whatever gods or fates allow them to perform a track like this one.
Most people should thank the Gods for being given the chance to listen to music that is so heartey and authentic amidst all of this candy-fast-food shit circulating around the globe
I love love your voice. Gregg please please sing again for all of us. Your voice is so unique. No one can ever sound like you. You are my favorite Male singer in the world. God bless you forever 🥰🌸🌷❤🧸🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I would donate one kidney, blood, and a testicle if it meant that this guy, GREGG fucking Alexander, will come together with 'New Radicals' and get it on together again!
Gregg Alexander and Danielle Bricebois truly lost stars.... Truly lost talents.... To see them perform together gives us hope that one day we will be able able to see and hear another New Radicals album....
i love you gregg alexander! whenever i listen to your music, i feel like i'm transported back to my teenage years. please continue making music! wish i can watch you live as well:)
So great, shame these people couldn't shut the front the door for 4 minutes. They're in the presence of pure brilliance and they don't really seem to realise, or else they might put down their peach daiquiri's and shut up for a bit.
Was blown away when I learned that Gregg Alexander wrote Lost Stars from Begin Again. Fell in love with that movie. Too bad they didn't get the Oscar for Best Original Song, although it would have been really cool if Gregg A performed the song onstage then instead of Adam L. Gregg is such an underrated artist.
yeah this crowd is lost, not only did Gregg Alexander from the New Radicals write the song, but he is singling live for them but also Danielle Brisebois who was a child actress and stared in All of the Family. Wow
You are the best ever shever.never. I love your voice. I wish you would put out more music. I know you're passionate about writing songs. Guess what. You sound better than everyone
I don't understand why he is standing there singing his heart out, and there is a whole lot of drunk talking going on in the background. He still pulled it together Clap your hands while you shut your mouths. JK< but maybe.
Man, I love his songs, but either this song is not made for his voice or his voice is not what it used to be. However his performances under pseudonym Cessyl Orchestra for the Begin Again Soundtrack are pure gold. His compositions are supreme.
I don't get it... Everything he touches becomes magic no matter how well produced a song is or not. Right now I'm trying to get off SSRI and took my last pill about a month ago. I haven't felt anything in 3 years. I used to cover this and other gregg-songs before I started the medication. I still have a hard time to feel anything. But I still think Gregg songs will be the best medication to get my emotions back. If this won't work, nothing will. Greggs my biggest "producer-crush" I've ever had haha. :p
Are there any more songs from this set? I've heard in an interview that they were suppose to play game of love and also maybe get what we give. Anyone?
I think the woman behind Gregg is Danielle Brisebois, right? Former member of New Radicals, great singer and Gregg's partner (long before New Radicals).
Great song. And I love Brainwashed. Bought it when it came out. I was 11 and really got a lot out of it. Ended up recording professionally as a result of such inspirations. All that being said, Greg should have warmed up. Of course it doesn't help when you've got a crowd that won't stfu. Too bad. A great many people out there would've been psyched to see this.
I feel bad for the audience. They dont have any clue who's infront of them. Damn! If i was there, I'll tell them that this guy right here is one of the best composers. Game of love. Lost stars. You get what u give. Someday we'll know. (new radicals)
Lots of people are Philistines. Their world starts and finishes with themselves. The older I've got (I'm sixty thus year), this creeping narcissism now shapes the world. For a musician these days, unless you're at the top end of your success, you're better off just busking on the street than playing these kind of functions or parties. Very few people are interested in connecting anymore. Very few people are able to listen anymore and even fewer are able to concentrate. We are looking at the extinction of a great many people over this decade simply because they've lost the ability to be curious, to stop talking and listen. Very sad.
Gregg is one of the gems in the music industry who travels under the radar. It's definitely time for the new New Radicals!
As a songwriter, I have so much respect for Gregg Alexander. He's written a lot of brilliant songs. This one genuinely gives me goosebumps. Just superb!
A true artist. No ego at all. That´s the kind of person that we hit it off on the spot.
Gregg Alexander doesn't know it , but he indirectly saved my life in 1999 when i first heard the song "You Get What You Give" on the radio while i was driving,.it turned me around ...life's a trip. :)
a muchos nos ha salvado la vida esa canción en más de una forma
How beautiful. Hope life is treating you well :)
A música "We get what We give" também tem mudado a minha vida. Difícil explicar, mas quando a ouvi, eu senti que alguma coisa tinha que mudar e o quanto eu estava jogando fora o dom da vida.

i don't think the ignorant audience realizes that an amazing songwriter is performing.
Gregg Alexander is an underrated musician. Maybe you've Been Brainwashed is a classic 90's album.
He wrote "The game of love" which is sung by Michelle Branch with Santana.
i don´t hink he is underrated. He chose exile. and good on him
......Too you forgot the too
i have it on Cassette tape
Epitome of the 90s
The second he belts out the chorus, my eyes immediately well up with tears.. Such a vulnerable and emotional singer...
I would have just flat-out fainted. The man, the myth, the legend.
Gregg is a beautiful person. Very thankful to have worked and met him. Real dude!
+N8Kanu He really comes across that way. I'd give anything to hear him sing live.
N8Kanu omg sooo lucky
do you know how i can reach him? i want to send him my music. thank you!
I love Gregg. I absolutely loved the New Radicals, and he seems like such a genuine performer. So proud of him, would so love to see him live!
truly rare honor for these crowd to hear this
I know I'm correct when I guessed that this is Gregg's song. It just sounded too much like his songs. The depth and meaning is so sublime. Thank God for artists like him.
Same here. And honestly the first time I heard this on the radio I really thought it was a forgotten New Radicals song.
You should listen to A Higher Place and No One Else Like You from Begin Again soundtrack then you’ll be surprised
BOSS!! Gregg thank you for this jewel and for The New Radicals. The year now is 2016 and I still playing "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too" every single day since 1998.
Watching this for the first time tonight. Love it already. People in the audience... SHUT UP!!!!
+TracyUK58 those people in the audience that then saw the Oscars etc were like 'Oh Sh** I saw that guy sing at our local venue and I was talking like I didn't care"
No one in this world can sing this song the way you do ❤💛💙💜
He STILL has his voice! He STILL has the music in him!
The voice of a GENIUS!
Greg is genuinely an insane talent. Maybe you’ve been brainwashed is still my favourite album to this day. I have always been desperate for him to come back and do some

This is pure gold! It’s true the audience lost an opportunity to really enjoy the voice and song of a great artist.
Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisboise are proof that lightning can and does strike more than once or twice. Their compositions seem to strike right at the heart of the audience. Artists should thank whatever gods or fates allow them to perform a track like this one.

It doesn't seem like Gregg's scene, but what a song he wrote. Nobody performs his songs like him.
he gives me goose bumps when he sings and get's into it adding this and that to accentuate the melody.
I would donate one kidney, blood, and a testicle if it meant that this guy, GREGG fucking Alexander, will come together with 'New Radicals' and get it on together again!

So great, shame these people couldn't shut the front the door for 4 minutes. They're in the presence of pure brilliance and they don't really seem to realise, or else they might put down their peach daiquiri's and shut up for a bit.

A muito tempo que procuro esse música dó filme tá dando onda
I think the woman behind Gregg is Danielle Brisebois, right? Former member of New Radicals, great singer and Gregg's partner (long before New Radicals).
Great song. And I love Brainwashed. Bought it when it came out. I was 11 and really got a lot out of it. Ended up recording professionally as a result of such inspirations. All that being said, Greg should have warmed up. Of course it doesn't help when you've got a crowd that won't stfu. Too bad. A great many people out there would've been psyched to see this.
Anyone else notice that she is the Danielle Brisebois? the only one belong Gregg to be part of original band New Radicals?
Noisy dinner theatre atmosphere, but well deserved Oscar nominations. This song is stunning.
I feel bad for the audience. They dont have any clue who's infront of them. Damn! If i was there, I'll tell them that this guy right here is one of the best composers. Game of love. Lost stars. You get what u give. Someday we'll know. (new radicals)
What does he say at 1:50??
Wow Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! STILL SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SINGER/SONGWRITER! Please get in touch with me Gregg. xoxo
He only dares engage in wussy smurf form...
He looks like Paul Dano in this clip!
New radicals front man✔️ the best album for sure Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too
Fuck. Lucky people.
Crowd, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!
Rusty emotional vocals but an amazingly talented songwriter!
Anyone notice he reminds you of Allan Rickman? Leader singer has some Slytherin in him.
Shut up i wanna listen to the song.

I think he sings like a drunk buddy, that's what I think guys. XD
What a rude audience, ..not respect the artist.. he was so gracious to perform in this conditions..
the idle rich don't deserve to be sung to by Gregg
