Knoor chicken boulien cubes!!!! In when you cook anything bland like white rice or stove top or mashed potatoes... there small enough to keep 5 or 6 in your kit.. plus just a cube and a couple cups of hot water makes a very good broth to drink as a hot drink!!! It tastes great to
Chili flakes in those disposable packets are amazing for adding a little spice to otherwise bland dishes. And tapatio or Cholula packets. Worth their weight in gold.
It's amazing how handy a few bobbins having different colored threads and a few different size needles can be when the territory is rough and clothing suffers. My late wife and I loved making Bannock. Good stuff any way you choose to fix it. I also like to wrap the dough around a stick and bake it over coals. I shore miss my wife. My cat died last Sunday. Guess I'll be in the bush more now that I'm alone.
Major, you are an inspiration to us all. Thank you for your service. Your plethora of bushcraft/survival knowledge is unmatched. Keep your tutorials reeling in !!!!
They make a ferrocerium bar replacement for the tooth pick in a Swiss Army knife. In my opinion, it adds a useful dimension that far outweighs the loss of the tooth pick. If you really need a tooth pick, you can easily carve one.
Check it out. Corporal’s Corner, acts like bushcraft, uses space blankets, does some bushcraft stuff, not bushcraft. Dave Canterbury, sells bushcraft items, writes bushcraft books, hell he was a damn war hero, he never went full bushcraft. You went full bushcraft. Never go full bushcraft.
I like your choice of SAK. I have a small collection that contains amoung others one Fieldmaster, two Huntsman, one from the 70's (no hook, tweezers or toothpick), a one hand opening Trekker and a Rangergrip78 but my favorite is the 91mm Ranger. I carry a Camper on my artic necklace. I just like SAK's.
Nice "hooch" set up Andrew, perfect for those of us who live and explore where trees are few and far between; sticks we got, but strong trees, not so much. Then to top things off, you produce dates for breakfast bread, dates are my absolute favorite fruit type substance, Very well played.
I grew up and lived my whole life in the Eastern Woodlands and could not be without forests. I live just a few miles from several forested areas that give me mental food.
The Pathfinder School Instructors are the best! I've been watching Dave Canterbury's instructional videos for more than a decade now. There's so much to learn about self reliance outdoors. It should be a required class like Wood Shop or Home Economics. Unfortunately both have been removed from schools.
I wasn't quite sure what divestiture meant, and it sounded like a great word, so I looked it up. And now I'm confused. divestiture noun di·ves·ti·ture dī-ˈve-stə-ˌchu̇r -chər, də-, chiefly Southern -t(y)u̇(ə)r 1 : the act of divesting 2 : the compulsory transfer of title or disposal of interests (such as stock in a corporation) upon government order I don't mean to be the grammar Nazi but how was this video a divestiture for his channel?
Thank you for the video. I'd love to see how you go about sewing up your torn clothing in the field sometime. I know there are other videos on UA-cam, but your to-the-point instruction is preferred. Thanks again!
Always love your overnighted. Excellent material! I also liked how you compared models of Leathermans and SAKs. Thank you for your service and your content.
Thanks for the video. One thing that I’ve been caring in my regular backpack is a small road flare.. often times as a first responder this is handy. This could be a good signal flare, self-defense, fire starting in extreme weather and I’m sure there’s other uses we can think of. I’ve never used an ax or saw in my camping. As a child, I would take a tool tired to a piece of clothes line and throw it up into the trees were branches had been snagged. Also, I would carry solid gauge number 14 copper wire and fish hooks. I also have used an insulated glove and cut gloves, cut gloves, because getting cut hurts. Thank you for the suggestions your camp is very comfortable and your pack is light. Great for fast travel.
Excellent. Especially the demo of the multi tool knives. I’m going to get one and the Victorianex as gifts. The simpler pot hanger was really helpful. Also, I appreciate your detailed (but not boring) explanation of process and purpose. Thanks.
Good a.m. sir! This is a simple shelter with out much bring wood materials to make a shelter. Only Paracord, knife, four sticks, and tarp but is beautiful shelter in time of natural calamities and disorder.pls make repeat this at your channel.i like to watch this vid. With my family.thanks a lot sir.
Thank you for the wonderful videos and tutorials you give. I love the bipod setup with the rapid deployment ridgeline. For someone who can no longer go out in the field/forest overnight, I love watching those who can. Great job. Hope you will get a black cap instead of a tan cap.
Great video, as always. For the rice, I always have tubes of sweetened condensed milk, and a handful of dried fruit/sultanas. Bush rice pudding, great for anytime of day. Yummo.

Curry powder makes rice or anything a little better

Nice.
Thanks from Germany to you.
You’re on point with your teaching methods, thank you for all the knowledge you share!
Keeping it simple makes the whole trip more enjoyable. The entire family will want to repeat this campout.
I always carry a few bullion
cubes to boil rice or pasta.

Your never alone in nature.
Sorry for your losses.
Hope the sunrise brings some beauty to every day.
@@peterbogart4531 The channel cats are usually biting. Sometimes a 30+ lb flathead shows up.
@@michaelmerrick5472 Thanks. Appreciate the good wishes.
You gotta teach the younger generation of men your knowledge!!

They are great!!! And the back of the saw works fantastic as the striker,
Nice bushcraft video. Tons of skills shown. Family friendly. No swearing. ❤
You actually went full bushcraft, cool video !
You never go full bushcraft.
Give it some time and soon he’ll be running around in a loincloth.

That oiled canvas tarp was the first step

Every video is a joy to watch. I learn something new each time. Highly recommend to anyone starting out or advanced. Thank you.

Exceptionally well done and very well demonstrated. Huge amount of info and techniques. Thank you.
I like when you do overnighters and show everything step by step like you did here. I learn so much from your videos
Most information every time. Hell of a job.
Best video yet. Never seen a full bushcraft video like this.
👍👍😎
Straight forward and to the point, as always! Thanks.
I watched this video a before but came back to it now. its winter and cold morning. Let the sun warm it up at little before I head out.
Its always nice seeing overnighter using different kit.

A new method for bannock really looks good love it.
Andrew, this was a divestiture for your channel and quite frankly put a number of skills all together in one camp out. Nicely done.

The best survival and buscraft video
I’ve never seen a plunger like that before very nice.
That's more Stuff than i have in my garage 😂. Cool Video. Thanks for that.😊
Seems pretty elaborate a plan and gear loadout for an "overnight". "Survival" also sounds like a bit of an overstatement for an "overnight".
I liked your take on this subject. Thanks for the video.
Wow 😳
Love your content brother.
Video genial, como todos los que haces. Muy bueno. EXITOS. (podrías contar la historia de tu pulcera).
Lots of great spoken and unspoken material! Thanks!

No doubt your a skilled outdoorsman, it's pretty cool to see how you show what you learned about bushcraft from taking other schools
One of the best bushcraft survival UA-cam channels. Definitely deserve more followers 👍
Definitely a favorite video of mine so far.
for me the most complete SAK is the Craftsman ... it is a shame that they do not make it any more. Keep up the good work. Thank you for these videos

Simple down to earth!
Bring some beef jerky or summer sausage to cut and toss in with the rice.
Instead of regular rice, I use Knorr rice packages. Huge variety of flavors. Same thing as regular rice. Add water and boil. At it has some flavor.
