As a Czech citizen, I watched this with my family and nobody bat an eye. I will not apologize for this cuz it was extremely fun to watch.
Czech movies seem to have tons of devil and magic stuff, as a child I seen one about a devil and a magic sewing box and a magic boots that makes u walk for long miles and another magical item I don't remember what it was and I am still looking for the name of the movie , the devil always gets in trouble with those items as he doesn't know how to stop them everytime , it wasn't animated, it was a real movie

That hairy monster is actually a Prague legend alongside with the skeletons, the headless man (who is actually an executioner named "Mydlář") and the devil playing cards with mortals to win their souls. Pretty much everything refers to something that does not need to be explained for czech audience, because we often read or hear those stories at a very young age, therefore they do not explain it for us. And Matthew refers to a story of the Mysterious Faust House. Without the context it looks like it does not make any sense, but it actually does - but that doesn't mean it is not weird. Excuse my english, please. I'm trying my best.
Fun fact: When Saberspark started talking about the czech folklor then in this scene 0:59 is tradional clothing from west Slovakia (more precisely in czech-slovak borders "Kopanice"), where they are quite close to the Czech/Moravian dialect.

That hairy ball with bare legs (11:09) is "Chlupáč od Ježurů" (literally "Hairy one from Jezura's Inn"), one of thousands of Prague's boogeymen. Jezura's Inn was a brothel and this fellow was know for strangling, beating and biting local girls (he even bite off one's nose).
God damn it! You unlocked my memory. When I was approximately 9 years old, I was on a trip to Czech Republic, and some other countries of EU. They played it on a bus screen, I was so horrified and embarrassed that I asked bus driver to turn it off. I always was a shy kid, but had to overcome myself, because it was too scary)

So last year we hosted a foreign exchange student from the Czech Republic, and I remember asking him about this movie. He said it was something they watched IN SCHOOL as CHILDREN. He did say that it was pretty traumatizing and kind of scary.
Also (even though a LOT of people call it this) Czechoslovkia is not the name of either country. See the split between the two countries happened on January 1, 1993. The politically correct names of the these countries are the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

About the character designs, I believe that is based on the fact that hand-carved wooden puppets are a HUGE part of our culture, a lot of the early movies here, if not being paper cut-outs or drawings, were made with these puppets, since (as you can see with Goat Story), CGI isn't really big here. If you look up czech puppets, I'm sure you can easily see the similarity. A great example of czech film making is Karel Zeman, who afaik is relatively famous in foreign countries. Definitely "czech" that out!
Fun fact: Medieval people actually knew how to maintain basic hygiene, and bathed frequently. It's nowhere near the same standards as nowadays, but nothing really was.

When I was a child I seen some Czech movies like cinderella and the 3 wishes , she basically had an owl assistant and 3 nuts that delivered her wishes , there was another movie I am looking the name of , it was about a devil who steals these magical items from this family , like a magic sewing box that sews dresses , a magic boot that walks for miles and miles , and a third Item don't remember what it was , but everytime he hears how they use it with the magic word but he always misses how to stop these magical items and gets in trouble for using them , I am still intrigued by those movies I seen and want to find them again

I saw this movie when I was 4 and I loved it. I've never met anyone in the Czech Republic who wouldn't like this film. I know it wouldnt be child-friendly in America, but we really don't have time to talk about unimportant things here, and most kids are normal, even though this is on TV, we're just friendlier to "bad" humor. But you're right, this movie isn't really good.

I actually commend the character designs and textures. They have detail beyond other movies with even higher budgets. In a way you can tell how characters smell and they have a certain grime to them, for what that's worth

I have a weird movie recommendation for you to check out, it's called "Romeo And Juliet: Sealed With A Kiss" it's a 2D animated retelling of Romeo and Juliet where most of the characters are Seals it's so weird and there's a really annoying character called something like Kissy the Kissing Fish that was voiced by the daughter of the Movie's creator when she was a little girl. It's so strange, I definitely think it's right up your alley.

As a person who lives relatively near the Czech Republic and Slovenia only about a country away I have never seen this item in stores which is odd because basically half of the kids section in a DVD section in a store or something is local or basically European animation
I guess the weirdness of the movie makes sense. AAA Studio is a direct successor to the studio that made "Sally" (The Clockman), that lost piece of media that was found.

if you are a Czech or Slavic citizen correct me if I’m wrong. I too am an oblivious American.
I’m unsure but my best guess is that the fuzzy dude with the theighs is supposed to be a creature in folklore called a Domovoy which were said to be house spirits. I’ve seen some old illustrations on google and they seemed to be right on the money in the film. Again I could be wrong.

In all fairness the guns are never used, as where cleavage is usually used to give characters more of a sex appeal. Trying to arouse kids is not exactly a great thing.

I am czech and when I saw this movie as a child I had nightmares for a long time.
And then Goat story with Cheese came out... And the nightmares returned...
And I think it is sad that THIS is a czech movie that is known in foreign countreis.
