The crazy thing is Caleb is doing all this with mediocre receivers. He lost Addison to the vikings last year and he still posted incredible numbers. The one thing to caution about Jayden Daniels is that he does have Brian Thomas JR AND Malik Nabers as his receivers. That is pretty freaking insane to have two receivers that will be drafted in the first round playing against college cornerbacks. So reservations on Jayden for this tidbit.
Not necessarily but it definitely helped Daniels.
You have to think burrow threw to the likes of JJ and Chase and translated into a top 5 QB.
Williams is that much more impressive tho for that reason I agree but both can be elite
@@Meech-ip4tu Yeah, I hope so. I want both to be successful. It will make watching Sunday night and Monday night games that much more competitive and exciting. Last year had the worst Sunday and Monday night games. I hope both become really good top level QB's.

@@niz167Burrow was a bench rider at Ohio State. JJ and Chase both are top 5 receivers in the NFL. Burrow has played with 2 elite WRs since his college days.

I watched 20 minutes of plays with Caleb. I was amazed how he moved in the pocket.
It was amazing, I might of seen the same video, it was refreshing to see, kinda like when Tyson started when fields got injured, the effortless moving around the pocket to avoid pressure while eyes on the field

Bear Down. For me, the thing that excites me about Williams as our QB is his vision downfield. Its wild, the dude can be scrambling and still deliver a ball 40+ yards downfield. Hes got great awareness under pressure it seems. NFC North is the strongest division in football once again.

I think this was best thing said by a scout in years, nfl teams should build their system around the players they have and are acquiring in drafts. Not the rookies having to adjust to their style if it’s gonna be your franchise qb like him ball like how he likes to play

Bears might be lucky to win 8 games next season. They have a lot of holes still. The addition of the oft injured 32 year old all pro receiver is not enough. Their trenches on both sides are still subpar. They still need a real Center, DT and Edge Rusher. Several O line positions could use upgrades
I think the interior d-line is honestly solid and has potential. I kinda agree about the offensive line but I feel with the depth they added there could be some hope?

FORGET CALEB WILLIAMS: Chicago's best choice is to trade their number one pick for as many round 2 and round 3 picks as possible.
In my opinion, Caleb Williams will be a bust. The writing is on the wall. Williams is selfish. He is all about his brand without any regard for his team. The Bears need to build their team, take a chance on a round 2 quarterback and look to be playoff bound within three years.

Kirk’s a smart guy. Interesting perspective on OCs adjusting to a modern QBs talents and the Andy Reid/Mahomes parallel. You hear guys like Trevor Lawrence and Fields get rated as “some of the highest grades ever” by some of these mock draft NFL analyst for ESPN guys. I dunno. I just think it’s different this time with Caleb Williams. We’ll see. Bears are not known as offensive gurus or draft wizards. Guess we’ll see what Ryan Poles and the new OC can come up with for him.

As soon as he steps on the field he will have the quickest release in the NFL. Right now I think it's Rodgers but I think Calebs is even quicker.
He also has a strong arm and really good pocket awareness. Those are 3 great qualities that just really can't be taught, all the rest can. I was not his biggest fan at first but the more I watched the more I noticed he has those traits that can't be coached. If he gets the right coaching he is going to be GREAT.

I cant wait to see how these guys are glorifying this kid. The fall will be extremely scary.. I was always told pride comes before a fall and huge expectations only lead to massive disappointments. I really wish they give this kid time to develop. Rodgers needed 4 years with a good HC, Mahomes needed at least 2 years plus a great HC in Andy Reid. We need to help this kid not worship him because once he starts to struggle you guys are going to turn on him just as quick and that is not fair

Can someone explain what the crazy hype is on Williams that puts him over other good QBs in the draft ? I’ve seen a few of his games but I haven’t seen or watched enough to see why he’s called a “generational talent”. Is it his football IQ, what he does once plays break down, arm strength, processing of the defense? Not trying to be stupid just genuinely curious.

- Undersized at 6’1”, which matters a lot more in NFL than college
