Always happy to know someone appreciates my extensions! And fun fact, this is the only loop that wasn't extended via DAW. I had such a hard time extending this song that I eventually gave up and just replayed the game all the way up to Magus' Castle to record this song lol.
Haven't played RE2, but I've listened to the save room theme. It'd oddly relaxing, although I personally prefer the original save theme over the remake. The remake's one was too ambient for my liking and didn't even sound like the original all that much. Still not bad though.
@@Mr.Kennedy-kn1klOh my goodness, yes. Original RE2's save room theme was absolutely amazing. Want a 10-hour version of it? It's on YT!!! At least it better be as it used to be in my horror-themed playlist lol. And yes, it makes sense that it doesn't sound like the original seeing how it's a song in a remake. Argh. I HATE remakes for the most part. They freaking change everything!!!
@@ClassicLaraCroft I didn't think the the RE1 remake looked that bad though, I even like it's save theme over the original bc it feels more like they enhanced the original rather some some boring ambient shit. I heard the RE3 remake sucked though. That being said, at least RE3 remake's save theme sounds like the original(tbh it sounds more like a save theme than the original,). Tbh I like RE4 remake's save theme over the original. Yeah, it's more ambient just like RE2 remake, but I feel it's the "right" kind of ambient. It doesn't take away what made the og's version great imo. It doesn't focus too hard on trying to sound exactly like the og. It ranches into more ambient territory while still staying true to the roots of the og. Same can't be said about RE2 remake's save theme, it doesn't sound like the og at all. Also, RE4 Remake's rendition of The Drive is an absolute bop. There's no remake of Code Veronica though, and its save theme is my favorite in the entire series.
I have to say it is a little eerie to hear this song over early Chrono Trigger gameplay.
You know you're right; and that's part of what makes the game so good: the sheer variety in its music.
Thanks for making the video. I love this song. I really like this music😍
been waiting years for this (should've made it meself lol) thanks!!!

@@michaelnelson8618 Fr dude there's literally no other extension of this song on youtube. Also have fun with your d&d campaign. Sounds exciting!
This song makes me feel like I'm in Raccoon City in RE2 on PS1 o.o I also hear definite undertones of Xenogears... 😁 Same sounds and eerieness.

My second favorite song in the whole game.
It is a great song. Though, you have me curious. What is your favorite?
