I love how the news casters are like commentators at a racing event.
Seems like it is out there, this happens at least once a week.
@@logicplague2077 Yeap. No wonder they call it Kakafornia. You don't earn that catchy nickname for nothing.
Well, you see a car driving at high speeds, what do you expect?
I wish they'd shut their pie-holes.
God bless LA & New York. Our country would be so dull without them ❤ 😢
This guy's running from cops but still uses his signals better than 80% of drivers. I'm not condoning his behaviour but that's impressive commitment.
I can appreciate that it’s so ingrained that he can’t help it 😂
stupid comment; nuthin better too do?
Well of course he doesn't want any more tickets as he makes his morning run to Starbucks.
What an idiot. He could have killed someone.
Help me caring way take me home with me. If that is OK matter special needs. Children are your children
Driver couldn’t have picked a more noticeable color to ‘evade’ the police with 🤣😆😂
Cracks me up just a reckless driving and then uses his blinkers
Better to be safe than sorry, probably wore his seatbelt too
@@nolove7485 that makes no sense 🤣 dude was speeding in the on coming lane.
@@droidv1 actually, when driving dangerously like that ,he is definitely safer with the seatbelt on than without it.
And using turn signals never hurt anyone. 👍
@@jaxturner7288 a seatbelt wouldnt of saved him if he crashed going as fast as he was when he was in the opposite lane with cars going past. Good thing he got picked up though no thanks to the police and all thanks to the Fox Sky Cam.
@@droidv1 can’t say that for sure since the rise in seatbelt use and airbags people survive after having head on collisions all the time, when they DO have a seatbelt on.
And even if it doesn’t save him, dying will probably hurt less if he doesn’t have to get ejected through the windshield first.
At least the suspect was nice enough to signal his lane changes. I guess he didn't want any additional traffic charges.
A lot of ppl in LA put other ppl life in danger when driving, whether they are running away from cop or just casual driving
💀💀
Fr they drive way worse than this on a daily basis 😂😂😂😂😂 ong
los angeles has some terrible drivers... thank god i live in north dakota (where people are also MUCH friendlier) but we also have some psychopath drivers here too

Nice work by the law enforcement and local news for apprehending this guy. He was walking like he got away, and that all changed when he turned that corner. Love it.

"Don't chase me and I won't have to use the oncoming lane" -the driver probably
i'm surprised the cop academy doesnt teach that xD
Using the oncoming lane to escape a lawful LE stop should get you hard time. Like 3 years in prison.
Wow, I guess the cops really were watching the news copter feed.
You're right, he doesn't look the 'type' to give the police any trouble, even though he drove recklessly and put multiple lives at risk. But nah, he's not the 'type'.
That's code for "he's not black". We have police chases every day in LA, and the majority are not black. A bunch are women too, so I don't know why so many still want to pretend that only black people do this.
I am glad I wasn't drinking my coffee when he said that... Bet that is what the DA said to "he is not the type so lets let him off."
amazing how you americans turn a chase into a movie 😂 here in switzerland you read it in the newspaper the next day or see it briefly on the news. but you go live 😂😂😂😂
Damn he was so close. He should have gone into a parking garage

Don't worry people, the DA will let him out in 2 hours with a speeding ticket.
the DA determined that the ride to the police station counts as time served
He thought he was going to get away with it lol 😂
And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those meddling helicopter crews
i bet he gets off with a warning
If you have a DA like Gascon, you will get away with anything!
he will get taken downtown have to pay a fine and then let go all by noon
People don't run just for a speeding ticket
Yea, smart people don't.
He probably thought his bmw was fast enough to make the police give up on a chase but he made a horrible mistake because police here in SoCal will chase you to the ends of earth

It never ceases to amaze me that these people run only to give up when cornered. Why bother to run? Just get it over with.

@@Stan-ug9mx I don't think you'd like to go to jail for an arrest warrant? He's defenitly a coward right bud
Appreciate CHIPS how they casually and stealthily apprehended the driver. It didn't take ten cops from twelve districts jumping on him to handcuff him, no punches were thrown to his gut, no yelling. All it took was one officer walking over and handcuffing the man. No mess, no fuss! CHIPS are the best!
It's those cool boots they wear!!! 😅💖
The fact that he was stuck in traffic and no moves was made on him while he was sitting there is beyond me . They let him continue only for him to b more wreckless endangering more lives . Terrible decision making
Agreed. If this guy had gone and wiped out my family after being let go like that I would be suing the state for negligence. They should get out and blast the tyres out or him, whatever works.
If he gets crazy in middle of traffic isn’t good either…
@@nieveswhite3859 How is that different to being pulled over for speeding etc normally? They get out and approach the offender then. Not like he's just robbed a bank shooting his way out.
There was one cop. He or she can't safely take a driver out of a car, even when it's stopped in traffic.
@@SoloPilot6 Well plenty of cops on their own pull over someone and ask for their licence in any other situation, they have a gun for chrissake's, never stopped them using it before for lesser crimes.

I like how the helicopter guy says he doesn't look like that type to give the cops a hard time, as if he didn't just witness the guy driving a whole stretch at oncoming traffic.. 🤔
Him risking his life and everyone else's, say's the exact opposite of him not being the type.
But, he was wearing a hoodie so, that made him cool.
In LA they must have special driving laws for some folks to make it ok...

Wow, what a chase scene.....so glad no one was hurt and this guy is taken in..
He doesn’t look like the type? What type would give them trouble? Here’s a thought just treat all suspects the same😳
They meant Black.
STILL haven't learned WHO commits 90% of the crimes in TODAYS America and are only 13%........well.......much lesser since they have been slaughtering themselves daily, of the population. Did you observe something else??........he didn't resist and fight back. Maybe your lucky day is coming soon and you can have that oppressed American experience...........and no cops will be around?
1) It is impossible for a human to treat everyone the same. We all have biases. If you think you're somehow special, you're just dumb
2) It would be extremely inefficient and just plain stupid to treat all suspects the same. You cannot be telling me that one should treat a 100 year old grandma on a wheelchair unable to walk, to be treated the same as a 18 year old black male with tattoos on his face and saggy pants buttcrack showing in a homicide case. Police, as anyone else, SHOULD profile.
That was odd to say.
@@artyomarty391 it’s a damn shame they haven’t locked you up !!

When you're about to lose all your stars and the cops find you.
He knew he'd had it when he looked up and saw the helicopter. If he was going to give the arresting officers trouble, he would have started running and trying to dodge.
It wouldn't surprise me if he had just gotten spooked when the lights came on behind him, then kept going because he couldn't think of anything else to do.
Keep it going Stu! Busy now, but will watch and comment further when home in a few days! :D Love these chases, lol, even on the job!

These newscasters talked way too much and don't know what they're talkin about😢
8:34 wonder what he meant by this? 🤔 I mean, he did just run from the cops
Legend says his friend he called it's still waiting for him at the corner 😂 after his arrest
😂
"He's only wanted for speed." WRONG. He's wanted for speeding, reckless driving, evading police, reckless endangerment, creating a public hazard....etc...etc...etc.. he will lose his license and be paying fines for the next 20 years.
Who else clicked on the video hoping it was the TRX running?🙋
Did he go in a big circle? How did the original pursuit officer get there so fast if they discontinued the pursuit?
Fox was keeping them apprised of his location. When they stopped following, they took alternate, parallel routes.
Cops never stop pursuing a suspect. Once they start pursing they don't stop until they catch the person.
@@truthiscensored
Actually, sometimes they do. It doesn't mean they just throw up their hands and say, "Oh, well. Guess this was his lucky day" and that's the end of it. It just becomes more of an investigation to track down the person instead of an active chase of the car.
I’m sure he had his address since the begging pulling his tags. Called off pursuit and went directly to his house to wait him out while dude taking lil detour and parking far before pulling up to his pad
there is "pursue" and then there is "sneakyfollow"
I don’t understand why they keep running away from police, putting innocent people at risk…😭 eventually they are going to be apprehended soon or later!!!! For me it seems like they want to be in jail, for free rent, free food etc, etc. “FREE LOADERS” I really feel sorry for the authorities, that they have to go through all this nonsense….😔
Blessings to y’all! 🙏😔
When you become a criminal you will understand why 😂
Once you start you just can’t stop man it not that easy. Seriously.
It’s a game to these criminals because they know the police can't do much to them, nor will the D.A and it's in California where the criminals are king and queens. Just look at their government in the state capital.
@@nero786 spoken like a true Monday Criminal
When I was a little girl, growing up in one of the suburbs of Los Angeles, back in the late 70s, we had a neighbor named Mike.
Mike was a neat guy, who owned a really cool, blue pickup with all the extra lights on the bar on top. He loved that thing, and was out in his driveway washing and waxing it every weekend.
He's the one who taught me what a shammy cloth is, and why you use it, and why it's important to wash and wax your vehicle often.
Mike was a good guy, and he had a thing for my oldest sister.
But, Mike had an odd habit. He'd go out in his truck, race around, and if he'd catch the attention of cops, he'd race home, drive into his garage, park the truck, then stand out in the yard talking to a neighbor, if one was available just to watch them drive by.
I share this story, because Mike taught me another important lesson. Beware of adrenaline junkies who don't find healthy outlets for their need for thrills.
My sister moved on from Mike, and eventually married someone else who also had a penchant for fast cars and a need for speed. At least he didn't purposely dangle himself in front of cops like bait on a hook, tho. 🤣

AWESOME JOB OFFICERS, STAY SAFE
CA needs to take notes from ASP - pursuits stopped in less than 60 seconds with the no-fail pit maneuver!
pretty sure pit maneuvers are only done with there is minimal traffic around. your risking other drivers lives if it goes wrong especially in a heavily populated area like LA in monday morning traffic. I am sure they have to consider all that before they do it :)
los angeles has more people than arkansas in a tiny little concrete jungle. what do you think the chances are of zero collateral damage? at what point during the pursuit was safe for pit? lol. what really needs to change is after they catch this guy, instead of giving him a misdemeanor summons and letting him go, maybe hold him in jail until a felony trial? lmao
How is someone running from the police using blinkers but some normal people can’t even do that lmaooo
Even evil has standards.
well it's los angeles so the ride downtown to get his speeding ticket was time served

Yeah they want their fame, and glory, and dope
'Putting a lot of lives in danger" Like I heard the guy say on his reporting. Why didn`t the officer pit or disable the car from moving? California needs to watch Arkansas State Police how they prevent cars from causing so many risks to other innocent people. Are these jerks going over 35 M.P.H? No problem! Arkansas pits at any speeds, even over 100 M.P H and their chases usually end in 5 to 10 minutes,as opposed to following a suspect for many miles running through stop signs, redlights.
arkansas: endless mountains and plains
los angeles: concrete jungle with more people than arkansas
there is a much higher public safety risk in crowded city areas. they dont even chase motorcycles out here, if you can lose them in a mile. maybe it's two i forgot.
You mean how Arkansas has killed people doing that?
What a braindead comment. LA has so much traffic and pedestrians that doing a PIT maneuver would be EXTREMELY dangerous. The suspect was already driving aggressive without a chase, imagine if he had 10 police cars speeding behind.
