Dr. Wise has designed this unique class to fully integrate a Christian worldview with the biological sciences. The result is a completely new way to approach biology. He has taught this class for over a decade to high school and college students, and is now making it available for the first time in video format. In this segment, Dr. Wise concludes our journey through the history of life with the Flood and the Arphaxadian epoch.

Dr. Wise earned his BA in geology from the University of Chicago, and his MA and PhD degrees in paleontology from Harvard University. He founded and directed the Center for Origins Research at Bryan College and taught biology there for 17 years. He then led the Center for Theology and Science at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for 3 years, before founding and directing the Center for Creation Research and teaching biology at Truett McConnell University for the last 7 years. His fieldwork has included research in early Flood rocks in the Death Valley region, late Flood rocks in Wyoming, and post-Flood caves in Tennessee.

So true! Atheists say that the Bible doesn’t provide evidence and isn’t science based but they’ve made up assumptions based on their belief in evolution and that is the only concept taught.
What if we devoted the same energy to the Bible and what it says? But they don’t want that!

Migratory birds have a nature to capture pups and carry them away for thousands of miles , without the pups perishing, since birds store living prey for the day their hatching of their eggs populate their nests. So the phrase "On the Wings of Eagles" shows a natural method of quickly distributing animals when they are pups and delivered to nests , as far away as Australia, some of the captives will survive and escape the bird nests and so their generations will continue on foreign lands. It is like AIR MAIL , SPECIAL DELIVERY.

Plants were growing before Noah left the ark, as evidenced by the olive branch. Just as plants were growing on day 3 of creation. Animals to eat them were created on day 5. Next, lions are omnivores. Ever see cats eat grass? Ever check the ingredients in most commercially available cat foods? Plus cats in the wild, eat all sorts of animals. Basically anything they can catch that can walk, crawl, fly or swim. They are not limited only the flesh of sheep. God's premise here is as it was in creation week. Sustenance was created before the creatures who needed it were created.

The whole point of this series is that it explores the Biblical History of Creation that predates literally all of western science. Those of us who through the grace of God are gifted with faith know without needing to understand that the Bible is an enduring record of the truth. Western secular science is far from stable in terms of fact, it's a never ending movement from one so called truth that is further developed and conseqently rewritten to become the new truth of the day. The shifting sands of secular truth and so called Western Wisdom. Meanwhile the truth I have faith in endures and rather than receding as science progresses, it becomes daily more plausible even from a human secular science perspective. The so called instability of modern science is why it works so well. It runs on disproof as new data emerges.
When geology failed, and failed entirely to show any evidence for the supposed great floid, the model was put aside. It has not been taken up again because no evidence has arisen for it and the evidence against it is conclusive.
The same happened with the age of the planet. It is certainly billions of years old.
And life most certainly evolved. Genomes, fossils, morphology and taxonomy all speak to this. Observed speciation speaks to this. Observed beneficial mutations speak to this.

@@ozowen Fascinating isn't it! What we are debating is the essence of truth. Good science seeks truth, honest science acknowledges it's limitations, bias and levels of probability. Your describing scientific probability in terms of creation, you are quite rightly not proclaiming truth. Your describing a journey that seeks proof. Interestingly confirming faith could be described as an endeavour that relies on establishing truth via a route that eliminates that which is disproved. Personally, the more I live my faith the more contented, peaceful and meaningful my life is. Conversely if I drift away from my faith, my life becomes more tangled, more challenging and and has less meaning. I've observed this over many years of living, a lack of faith has negative consequences and this observation consolidates my faith. I can't prove it to you, there are too many variables at play although I could quote longevity in terms of an observation study. People have been experiencing the faith I describe for centuries and centuries and there is concrete archeological evidence to confirm that. It's impossible for me to prove to you that Genesis is history. The essence of faith is accepting something to be true without observable concrete evidence. You seem to be demonstrating a faith in secular science despite the limitations you describe above. I applaud the Christian scientists in their endeavour but they are subject to the exact same challenges as conventional secular scientists. We learn when we embark on an honest journey aimed at discovering the truth. My journey is towards the narrow gate!

God transported the animals to the Ark and so He could just as easily transported them from the Ark too. The Flood was NOT a single miraculous event. There had to have been many associated miracles involved. From a "number of miracles" prospective, it would have been "easier" to simply start all over but God had a point to make and so He went out of His way to make it. God is AWESOME!
Now that I think about it: What if He did start over again? What if He'd started over many times? We would have ZERO evidence or record of that happening. It reminds me of that old hymn we used to sing, "We'll understand it all by-and-by."

Animals probably ate corpses, piles of vegetation that floated, insects and any growth from when Noah waited for the ground to dry. Plants also probably grew twice as fast, so while the animals may have ate some sprouting plants the rest of the landscape they didn't eat would thicken within 3 weeks. It would take a few years for full predation.

My question is what did the carnivores eat in the beginning after the flood. With only one mating pair of each prey kind, every time a carnivore are something an entire kind would be doomed. We’re there enough carcasses lieing around to sustain them. Doesn’t seem feasible. I believe the Bible is true. So I’ve racked my brains trying to figure out what the carnivores ate before the prey kinds had time to reestablish healthy populations. Perhaps they continued as vegetarians for a decade or so. I don’t know. But it is a difficult question. Perhaps Noah kept the carnivores on board for quite some time feeding them fish. That would be a daunting task. But could u please address this. Perhaps God created temporary vegetTion for carnivores to eat. Flesh like fruiting trees or something. It’s a puzzle?

Perhaps the amphibian kinds became extremely abundant and the carnivores gorged on frogs salamanders and rodents which could have proliferated rapidly. Please address this for us followers

Ends with "see how God is interacting with humans through time". What an ending! And one vital thread runs through all times, people, events & individual lives; that is, by faith. Faith is the one commodity God takes. You can take faith to the Bar of Heaven & God will honor it. What then is faith? Faith is a trusting obedience to God's Word. Wether it's to repent from running from God and turn to Him and trust Christ as your Savior & Lord or wether it's walking with Him. Faith puts Jesus Christ in HIs rightful place of our lives. "As ye have recieved Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him".
