Dr. Wise has designed this unique class to fully integrate a Christian worldview with the biological sciences. The result is a completely new way to approach biology. He has taught this class for over a decade to high school and college students, and is now making it available for the first time in video format. In this segment, Dr. Wise introduces us to the topic of biblical chronology and why it is important to our understanding of the history of life on Earth.

He founded and directed the Center for Origins Research at Bryan College and taught biology there for 17 years. He then led the Center for Theology and Science at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary for 3 years, before founding and directing the Center for Creation Research and teaching biology at Truett McConnell University for the last 7 years. I recently hear from The Door YT that when God created He created everything, including Adam, Eve, animals, rocks, water, animals in an already state of being- Adam wasn't created as a fertilized egg, he was created as a 20/30 year old: fully grown man with wisdom teeth, beard etc. If a doctor had come in 5 minutes after creation and examined Adam, the doctor would say Adam is 20/30 years old, not 5 minutes old. In the same manor the rocks, water, mountains, animal life were all created 'old' not at the beginning of a cycle but mid-way or most of the way through it. This made sense to me.

I fully agree with your hypothesis. Dr. Wise also has other videos going over the age of rocks from the Flood. Actual age is about 4000 years and radiometric puts it in the millions. So it's not just that the earth was created in an aged state, but that the assumed inputs into the radiometric dating are also incorrect.

@@entrepreneurlife649 agreed. Science or the study of the natural world is a constantly evolving concept. Every day in science journals they are changing their minds about everything from concept to age to effects and outcomes. One thing constant about man's understanding of our world is that what is true today, is not true tomorrow as we learn or understand more of what we see.

Thanks for your talk. I want to point out that the assumption that the creation week ended can’t be true because god rested from his works after he created Eve at the end of day 6. Then god proceeded to rest from his works in day 7. In hebrews Paul told us that the sabbath resting continued in his day (Paul’s day) and there is nothing in the ~2000 years since Paul that suggests the the 7 day of rest has yet ended. So I believe that today we are still living during the 7th day. We are witnessing the 6000 years towards the end of day 7. Adam and Eve where created ~6000 years ago toward the end of day 6. Day 7 still continues.
Maybe it will end after the coming 1000 years of peace. Then Day 8 will start
That’s day 8 of an infinite number of
Multi-thousands of year Days of creation.
So living Forever in paradise in the physical universe looks possible to me.
But great talk, keep them coming

That's not exactly right that we know very little about when the New Testament books were written. There is only debate in those who are what would be called the liberal camp and in many if not most cases they are not actually Christians and have a bias to minimize or discredit God's word. There's actually a very good evidence about when the New Testament books were written that is within some cases just a couple of years and at most 10 or 20 years. You take almost anything else from antiquity of that era and there's only a handful of documents that it's known exactly when they were, recorded, most of them it is not known.

So since God finished His work on day 6, how would we understand the time right after the flood as far as Noah sending out birds to see if there was dry land and it brought back a tree branch. So this would indicate that God recreated the trees and everything else again since the seeds would not have been able to grow that fast in the time frame that we see today in order for there to be fruitful trees. So I think God recreated the trees like He did back in Genesis 1.

    • @roydodds3693
      @roydodds3693 Рік тому

In a roundabout way you have stumbled on yet another flaw in the Noah Flood Myth. Were the myth true then all terrestrial plants, not just trees would have been destroyed. Now given that something as important as recreating plant life is not mentioned in the Bible you (as a theist) can conclude it didn't happen. Given that plants do indeed exist on land, you must logically conclude they were not destroyed by any flood - and further conclude the flood as described did not happen. The whole flood myth is so full of holes it just does not hold water - puns very much intended.

Consider the most simple single cell form of life. It is in fact a very complex creature. Would this type of creature be considered "the origin of life" in the evolution perspective? Dr James Tour could put together a very interesting opinion.

We are in Day 6, the end of the 6th Millennium awaiting the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take up the crown of David. Does Christendom ask, why Christ is returning? The 7th Day (Day of Rest), or Seventh Millennium is the Kingdom Age on earth, when ‘He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore’ Is 2:4. The 8th Millennium God will dwell amongst us - infinity.

We cannot use the New Testament chronology’s to determine the age of the earth…there are many generations missing and are simply not included in there. 🤷‍♂️
God just doesn’t say how old it is.
It’s hard to believe He created the earth with the illusion of it being a few billion years old and it’s only 6-10 thousand years old. As of now I’m not convinced of a young earth

Yes, the idea that God created a mature (not old) earth/universe has been brought up by several young-earth geologists. It's certainly a great "just so" story to pretend that the Earth is young.
      It's not science.
It's an avoidance of evidence and born entirely from a desire to make reality fit a particular belief system derived from a particular exegesis and driven by a bizarre doctrine set.
