I once bought a car off ebay in the Driftless Region...near Winona, MN. Fun fact: Winona Ryder is named after that town. Extremely quiet area...had to wait there for a few days until my check cleared. There are actually like mesas in that area...covered in greenery...that give it a "western" look.

It's one of the quietest areas...other than the remote wilderness...I've ever been to. The geography...the river and mesas...keep these small towns separate and self-contained. For example, Caledonia, MN and La Crosse, WI are so close, but seem quite far from one another.
In the old days, life was kinda manic-depressive. You had periods of intense work, like the two months when that guy was building his cabin, and then you have months of not doing much at all. It was very busy during planting and harvest seasons, but a whole lot of lounging around happened in between.

I have done what you are doing in this video (in and around my area) and it is a real bummer to run up on "pavement ends" signs and or the dead end sign and have to back track. From my old trail biking days when I was a young man I'm not afraid of gravel, just don't like washing the dust and dirt off the bike afterwards. My bike is pretty much a pavement queen. I roll on a 2001 Honda NSS250 Reflex here in north central Illinois. I have ventured up to Galena but never crossed over into Iowa from Galena. Someday I would like to pack up the sleeping bag and my tent and spend a couple of weeks exploring that area you are making this video of. Later man!!😁

But there was one bike, over and above the crotch rockets and muscle bikes that I have owned, that stood out and shined above all the rest. The bike was a wrecked barn find with 36000 miles on the clock. Once I restored it to mostly factory original, for some strange reason for 13 years that machine was my most favorite to ride out of my other bikes that I owned. Bought the bike in the spring of 1990 and sold the bike in 2003 with 108000 miles on the clock. The bike was a 1978 Suzuki GS750. The main reason I sold the bike it was becoming harder to find regular maintenance items for it. Yes I RIDE and I still ride alot!!😁

The drunk driving illegal alien murdered the little girl by driving up on the side walk with his vehicle. How many crimes did this illegal alien break in the course of murdering this little girl. The story was briefly mentioned just one time on the local news, absolutely NOTHING beyond that. We the tax payers, the citizenry, are expected to pay for this and also tolerate the leftist dem illegal regime..
