I mean she was his wife even after everything that had happened. His reaction is the best one. Because the guy is normal, he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. I’m sad because I’m sure that they could’ve rebuilt their relationship. They were married soooo young. Things can happen. The real test of love is after that.

Look, my theory is, Chris was in no way in love with Erin, he just liked to have a lover. Erin told Chris she was pregnant and he couldn't risk his marriage so he killed her. I mean, it seemed that Erin really was into Chris so maybe she thought he really loved her and decided to tell him that baby was his. IDK.

Him accusing her of child abuse reminds me of Chris Watts accusing his wife Shanann of child abuse and saying that's why he killed her. He just snapped. It's so gross when killers just won't take responsibility and admit their guilt fully. Adds insult to injury for the families. So horrible.

This case ROCKED our small desert community.
Sidenote...The reason why it never caught fire down in the mineshaft is because there was a lack of oxygen that far down.
Also Nicole told multiple people at the horse ranch & around town that if Erin had been killed nobody would find her body. It was clear to anyone close to the case that she was totally involved. She also mentioned something about a gun but I don't remember what it was. Most of us think she was in the car when he went to meet Erin.
Some of us also believe one of his close friends is involved. His friend had a truck that was mysteriously sold the same week Erin went missing.
Also, people don't just go out & hunt coyotes out here...at least locals don't. That's one of the first things that was a redflag for everyone.
    Glad you covered this one!

I would watch it too but I love Baileys videos and despite free speech the Scientologists could make her one of their targets since they do not like people with big platforms talking bad about their religion.
As far as I know she is not a scientologist but either way many of you have seen how they treat those who were part of the religion and just random people that speak against them. It is up to Baily of course but bringing awareness to it could cause a negative impact on her life. I'm sure you have heard of big stars breaking free from the religion who claimed to be followed and honestly I do not see many in movies anymore so someone with Baileys platform is big enough to get their attention but she does not have the ability to fight scientology. No one person does and unlike most other religions they can be quick to attack. She can choose to speak on it but I can certainly see why she could reconsider.
Edit: scientology is something a lot of people including former members, some current members and those who have no opinion need to speak about together. I would love to hear her do a story where some of the key people were scientologists without offending the entire religion because all religions have "bad apples" as they say. They just try and hide the problematic information.
For the record I was baptized Roman Catholic but have been Agnostic most of my life. I think there is something or lots of things out there we do not understand. And my theory on most modern religions is too long to get into here.
Regardless this could easily be my favorite channel. ❤

And thank you for not representing my son's silence as weakness or guilt; he was respectful from day 1 because that is the person he is. As his mother, I wish the same respect had been shown to him. I believe this too. The wife probably made many remarks, urging him to go to this extreme. He should have been smarter than to actually do it... but I don't feel wifey is 100% innocent. She got revenge on the mistress and got rid of her cheating husband.

I agree because they all still moved to Alaska, she probably planned it so she could move still. Idk if he’d be that dumb to leave evidence but what if Nicole went back there and left stuff to prove it was him? It wouldn’t be unreasonable that she’d keep things to toss down there. What if she urged it because Erin told the other neighbor lady she was pregnant and Nicole heard about it (because remember the neighbors knew) then set a plan in motion to get rid of the both of them. 😮

I've listened to this a couple times, and it just clicked how young she was. People make silly choices at that age, it doesn't excuse cheating, but it kind of explains to me why she didn't want to let go of her affair. It's so horrific what he did, he could have just moved and left her. So heartbreaking.

Edit for clarification, I’m not saying the wife had no right to be mad at Erin at all, she clearly did she trusted her and considered her a friend. I experienced several and didn't figure it out till I had a miscarriage i actually knew about and when I thought about it, there was 4 different times I had been late for my cycle than thought I had it but they were SUPER bad, with huge clots and much more painful. I had regular cycles normally. With mt first known pregnancy that resulted in my 13 yr old daughter, she was a twin that I miscarried at 6 weeks and during my whole pregnancy I never had any pregnancy symptoms other than the big belly and cravings. No vomiting, no sore tatas nothing. So I believe that miscarriages can be seen as a late bad period.

There's a big difference from what a cheating person would say to make the affair partner feel happy and secure and the reality of the person's feelings. I feel sorry for Erin, because she was so young and could not see beyond the lies he told her.

How is he going to claim it wasn't premediatated when he literally brought his own garrote, propane tank, and torch? Like, sir. How much more premediatated can you get bringing all of that? Also, him being denied for service makes a lot of sense now, huh.

No one had mentioned in court that they found in his search history "How to dispose of a dead body"? Which basically confirms it wasn't in the moment and was premeditated
