In this video we take a look at how to make drop chords like Medasin in his track 'Everytime'. The sound is made up of two layers, a melodic square wave layer and a noise layer, both from instances of Serum. Much of character of the sound itself however comes from the processing chain in ableton live itself. This type of sound design is perfect for genres such as future bass, rnb & pop. Hope you enjoy!

I'm searching for a tutorial of sound design in Serum which describes, how to prepare midi files which you can put into the lfo of serum. So you can do some nice melodies in a midi file and paste it into the LFO and use it like a sequencer. Lfo brings up the notification that only a special midi standard is accepted to do that. Do you know how to do it? A tutorial on that would be very nice. Greets

Thank you so much for these vids, my sound design has come such a long way. I wanna make a request of you tho... I know it's not EDM but I've tried and tried and I just cannot replicate the thick pluck sound in Alive and Well by Voice (produced by Precision Productions from Trinidad and Tobago). It's one of the nicest synths I've ever heard and I just cannot understand how it's made. I was hoping maybe you could copy the patch?
