New subscriber here, we have a 4100 simplex panel here in our mall, would like to ask if what suppose to be the problem if im reading less 24v (10.2v) on the auxilliary 24v terminals?
Cool panel. I have a few questions for you. 1. Since it is an es panel, does that mean you have idnac nacs that use addressable truealert es notification appliances? 2. Is software required to program the panel? 3. Or can you do programming at the panels keypad? Thanks!
Hey Caleb, 1. Yes since it is an ES panel, you do have that option to use IDNAC devices. In order to do that, you need an EPS. I only have an SPS at the moment. 2. Yes, software is required to program the panel, but it is proprietary and I don’t have it. It does not allow you to program through the front keypad. I have a friend who works for Simplex so he is the one that programmed it for me.
Hi David, thanks for the excellent video. just curious is there by any chance that you would know why this Simplex 4100 ES control panel is constantly rebooting?
Is it possible to swap out sps without having to program anything just power it down swapping out the old card putting in a new card then firing it back up ?
@@Dredpath1 awesome thanks so much ...we keep having a trouble of the sps it comes and goes .I just want to swap it out with a anew one without the headache of having them come out for any type of programing.

Awesome! I came across something weird in a building a few days ago, this building had a 4010es and a 4003ec. Do you have any idea as to how those operate? I am assuming they are similar to the original 4010 and 4003.
Hi Bro I have a problem with my panel it's start and shutdown and then again restart continuesly the same to thing happen .can you plz tell me the solution.
No answer is when a device goes missing on the SLC loop. A bad answer would be when a device communicates with the FACP, but it is insufficient. A disable trouble is when you disable a point or a circuit on the system. An open circuit trouble is when there has been a break in the field wiring and the panel cannot see the EOL resistor.
Great question, you have to work for simplex in order to do that. I was able to have my panel programmed, because my buddy works for Simplex. I do not have the programming software because it’s proprietary. Hence why my buddy had to program it.
I don't get it; you, the title, & the description all say "4100ES", yet the cabinet, dress panel, & maybe even the circuitry are clearly that of a 4100U (plus the fact that if it really _is_ a 4100ES, it should say "Simplex" & "4100ES" near the top of the cabinet, but this one doesn't).
@@TheCarson116 Maybe if you watched the video you'll see that in the video David explains that it is infact a 4100ES but he just needs stickers to make it an ES.
