Good evening Sir, Great tips and on your painting skill !!! I never tough of using a piece a carton to cover the concret floor of my garage,,, ✌ hey it's free concret protection, 🤣😂but you can tell my madness painting history for the last past decades !!! 🥴Great idea to deflated the tires prior painting !!! 👍😉Great looking end results Sir, you are a pro and way better that me ✌😊👍 That black trailer need some yellow painting strips 🥴😂😜 Cheers !!!😂
@@TractorTech Yes, & rust dissolver comes in liquid forms as well. I have no favorite brand but do feel more confident with the end results after using my time to refurbish rusty things. I used three applications & pressure washings for my BX mower deck this year . Your channel is one of the best, 10/10.
These wheels look okay still but they were pretty rough. It is like the primer has sucked the pain in, in places. I've had better results from wheels that were not as far gone.
The state inspectors here are independent. They are approved by the state. They all whine that they don't make any money from doing inspections. Our worthless governor was going to do away with it, which would have been good. All the inspection station whined that they would loose money so they did not do away with the program.
Thanks for sharing. It will help me out when I paint my wheels.

Thanks Dave! I am going to add some conspicuity tape to the trailer once it is painted.
@@TractorTech 😂😉👍
Nice job
Always useful information.
Thanks Paul!
Chainsaw brush that he’s using works great. Ps if you use a piece of roof flashing you don’t need to take tire loose
The problem with using flashing is the lip of the wheel won't get painted.
Waaaaay better !
Thanks!
Great job.
Thanks!
Good video TT, never knew about wheel paint, will have to try it! Stay safe bro. 😷😷✌🏻️
Thanks, you too!
reseating the bead was just taking core out and pushing a bunch of air? any issues not seating?
I saw some guys paint a rim and they put oily tire shine on the tire so overspray would come off. The just ran one layer of paint tape around the rim
Tire shine would be a good second layer of protection.
I'd have used rust dissolver & a pressure washer. Either way 2013, great value, GG.
Are you talking about something like naval jelly?

My favorite song in the background starting at like 5:03 lol
When I am in the garage I mostly listen to a station called rock bar on SirusXM. They play all different kinds of rock.
How has it held up with use, heat and grease since you painted it?

A $1 deck of playing cards overlapped on each other between the tire and rim. No need to break the bead.
That will work but that leaves the lip unpainted.
What color/brand spray paint did you use
Rustoleum wheel paint, silver
I have seen them use Petroleum jelly
really?

Some dummy scuff my wheels inspecting the brakes. 🤣😂🤣 Keep in mind that these inspectors are paid by the state 😂🤣😂

I would of wire wheeled those bad boys esp the inside and let them ride. Maybe sand the worse areas on the outside after wire wheel
The wire wheel leaves some deep scratches that are visible after painting.
@@TractorTechI would use sand-able filler primer and then light sanded the first coat of primer if that a smooth finish look was desired.
