Heard about Nevada, but not about Oblivion Lost. Is it a new mod on the scene? Also is the Nevada mod complete? For some reason I think it was early access (if mod can be considered that 😅)
The Nevada mod has actually been complete for a while, just the original translation was pretty tough to get through. Keyboard Gecko did a complete overhaul of the translation during the height of the pandemic while he was stuck in-doors, and that's the repackaged version I made this video for. Oblvion Lost is another older mod, but apparently it was repackaged too and is kind of fun to play, though it's a lot buggier and the translation is pretty rough. It's still got some interesting questlines with a bit of humor depending on which quests you follow.
Hey Quantum, I have a bit of an issue I was hoping you could help me with. I have been able to get most mods to work, even Nevada. However, even after following this guide, Oblivion Lost tells me the game fails to initiatize and crashes
Is there an error when it crashes? Are you able to set up sfall into debug mode to log out errors? I'm assuming that you tried installing it both ways and that you're installing v1.03 and not v1.02?
Well from one problem into another. I've got F:OL to launch and everything seemed to be running perfectly smooth until all the new NPCs from the mod started speaking gibberish. In fact, the settings button displays gibberish too, and it's not Russian or any other language, it's just a random series of letters. Really frustrating, trying to reinstall the mod several times has not fixed the issue and I cannot for the life of me figure it out
@@jacobh7456 that sounds like archive corruption, but I'm curious what it looks like. Would you mind posting a pic? Otherwise, maybe try re-downloading?
@@quantumapprentice8120 drive.google.com/file/d/1RLRd3Zr0VjqaHaWJiLxNTlX5v034FBqv/view?usp=drive_link That is what shows on the settings button, but all NPCs from the mod have dialogue like this as well. I have tried re-downloading and re-installing several times to no avail.
Can anyone help? When I install this(either root mode or not) the videos play fine, but then the main menu screen is just all black. Did I install something wrong? Nothing changes when changing Windowed mode or fullscreen. Any help is much appreciated
Which mod are your trying to install? My first thought would be to make sure you configure the hi-res mod, it's Nevada_Res_Config.exe for Fallout: Nevada, and F2_res_config.exe for Oblivion Lost. If you have that configured for full screen already, try switching to windowed mode and see if the menu's show up correctly. I made a video about how I configure the hi-res mod, let me know if it helps or not: ua-cam.com/video/_0iKAH2kiQ4/v-deo.html
Hey, I ran the hi res config(I'm just trying to get Nevada to work) an tried the options you suggested as well as any other selection of options and still always get a black screen. Windowed or full screen. I also when through your setup video but still not working. Any other ideas? Thanks again for you time!

Nice. Thank you very much.
Hope new people trying to install these mods don't get as confused as I did when first trying to get them running.
@@quantumapprentice8120 They're confusing indeed. It took some time to install Nevada for me. But with this video the confusion should vanish.
