Hi Ronan, I would have liked to heard some cut applied at 3.5Khz with the bell shelf up t 22Khz

Yep - my main man Lightning Boy does it again. A couple of years ago, he made me a compressor that I'll put up against the big boys - and again, all hand made, down to the capacitors.
Watch out for Mike (Lightning Boy). He knows his stuff, he refuses to compromise quality and his ears are golden.

I just noticed the equipment labeled "RCM-2R". Is that named after you, and did you design it? Great video!

+Jon Rowell Yeah, that is named after me. It is an awesome tube all Class A dual spring reverb. I came up with the concept and the the great Jule Potter of Jule Amps did the serious work. There are a couple prototypes but it never went into full production. I have the only installed unit in the world.

The thing that makes a transformer a big deal is the mass.(I'd put that last word in italics, if I knew how to do it on YT, LOL) People love the sound of BIG IRON. That thing (the power supply transformer) looks like it coulda come out of a Hammond or a Leslie; (or some 50's Altec-Lansing science experiment) you could say it's more massive than the Passive. You could have that thing zeroed out, doing nothing but passing signal, and it'll sound better, irregardless of the signal you apply. The size of the transformer also indicates to me that the device's internal operating voltages are pretty high, and that usually helps with headroom, and since the EQ is passive, that's pretty important for maintaining signal integrity. Another way of putting it is that this device slightly distorts your audio, but only in the best possible way. Wouldn't be much of a trick to ADD hardware bypass...but at this price, I think I'd demand it, but as an option, by which I mean the device should include both options, though now that I'm thinkin' bout it, you could do that with your patchbay.
