    Thank you Shark! i've had mine for several months and replaced my older robot vacuum because of the convenience of the self cleaning function. It's been a blessing on my life as I have 2 huskies who are notorious shedders. This has been a life saver, I keep my older robovac in the basement now and this is my go to for the main floor. Such a time saver and does a great job!

    I have the shark IQ XL. Me and every other Shark IQ XL customer would like to know when "keep out zones" or "no-go zones" will be added to the Shark Clean App, and the ability to schedule various rooms on various days? I don't want to keep laying down and moving the ugly strips around, and don't want to clean the whole house with every scheduled cleaning.

    Tried several times to create account in app, get email and password don't match which I know they do, even tried a second email account and same damn thing, can't get support because that's in the damn app!!??????

    After I’ve already set up my robot do I need to power off the switch or will that cause my robot to have to be set up all the time?

    Hi ... question... After I charged first time and used and back to charge do I need to turn off button if I am not using until following day? Do I need to turn off the robot at anytime? Will turn it off make it loose connection to WiFi and I will need to set up again? Thank you for all the help provided

    I originally had a shark robot back that was having problems so I returned it and I'm debating should I get the shark IQ robot without self empty or should I get it without empty keep in mind I have a 2000 square foot house two dogs and a cat and they're very hairy and they use my vacuum pretty much every day

    Would like our Shark XL to remap. It states settings, map data, then delete map data. Looking at my settings on Shark Clean can not locate from Shark app, I see settings but no delete map?? Help. It misses my back foyer, it does only 2 stripes of cleaning. I do have 2 bot strips at 2 doorways in that area for my Jane Jetson not to enter. Thank you!

    how do I change the settings so it random cleans a room instead of a pattern?

      Hello Adele. We would like to inform you that the Shark IQ Robot Vacuum does not have an option to random bounce clean. It is designed with IQ NAV advanced navigation technology so it can navigate around obstructions as it cleans your floors. Equipped with an upward-facing sensor located between the Clean and Dock buttons, your robot identifies unique reference points to aid its navigation. With each cleaning, your robot will update and refine its path to provide optimized cleaning coverage and a cleaning report will be available in the app.

      Hi Glenn, thanks for reaching out. Our Shark robot is able to create only one map of your house. You'll be able to clean multiple floors when pressing the button clean on your unit but it won't create multiple maps.

    Wait a minute. Why does a room need to be illuminated for it to work? Is it just using a regular camera to send images via WiFi for remote image recognition or does it have its own internal sensors?

      We are happy to assist you with this. The main difference is with the self empty base. The XL holds up to 30 days of dust and debris where the other holds up to 15 days of dirt and debris.

    I have a question about the recharge and resume. I recently bought the Shark AI Robot and I see that it recharge and resume once, but it is not able to complete the cleaning of the house. why does it not resume for the second time? There is always some portion of the house left out no cleaned as the robot is not resuming for the second time

      You aren’t the only one wondering about this. I have two dogs, one is a Boxer who would see this as a toy to pounce on. I bought this with the intent on scheduling it to clean our downstairs after midnight while the dogs are sleeping upstairs with the family. We also intended to run it every night or every other night to control the dog hair. I did not intend on leaving our lights on throughout the house all night, every night. I’m unboxing and looking through the instructions as I’m replying to you. This doesn’t not sound practical to run at night or during the day if you have multiple dogs. I have a decent size house and it’ll probably take some time to vacuum. I can’t be home to lock up our dogs for however long it takes. Which is the entire purpose of running it at night. While I’m at it I read it needs minimum 3 feet clearance on both sides. That’s a lot of space. My wife is going to kill me trying to move her decor around trying to find a combine 6 feet! Why would it need more than 1 foot clearance on both sides? Visually it appears more than enough clearance for it to maneuver in and out of the base.

    I just got a RV1100AA I’m getting so frustrated. It won’t let me select rooms, or look at any kind of map unless it’s in “history” but I’m not allowed to edit the map??

      To make yours work remap it but don't make the rooms just use what they haelve there it's like room/room 2/room 3 if you leave them alone it will work

      Per customer support, it will NOT clean efficiently without a map, even in manual mode. So, basically it’s a one-floor robot!!! Stupid!!!
      They said the map will be lost and it may clean one room multiple times if it doesn’t have the map.

      Great question, Rebecca! In this case, you'd just need to make sure the Mop option is selected on the SharkClean App for the unit's running schedule, and that the mop bin is attached with water and cleaning solution.

    What is the difference between the shark IQ and the shark IQ XL.
    I don’t care for the new AI version because it can’t go under low profile furniture because of the donut on top.

      Great question, Sharee! The main difference is the amount of debris the Self-Empty base can hold. One holds up to 15 days of debris while the other holds up to 30 days.

      We are happy to assist you with this. We recommend that you charge the robot completely before its first cleaning, so that it can explore, map, and clean as much of your home as possible. It may take up to 6 hours to fully charge the robot.

    Two things don’t make sense. Why does this need 3 feet clearance on both sides of the base, a total of 6 feet clearance? That isn’t practical. The Robot is only 1 foot in diameter, why does it need 6+ total feet of clearance? I’ll find out after it’s initial 6 hours of charging if it really needs all that space to dock to a docking station that’s only 1 foot. The second question mark is the need to keep the house lights on at night while it’s vacuuming. I’m assuming a lot of people are in my situation. I have two dogs, the Boxer who believes everything that moves is a toy. This is supposed to maintain the dog hair so it doesn’t get overwhelming. The best time, most convenient time to use a device like this is at night. But I’m reading the instruction manual and it says you need the lights turned on if running at night. Really? I can buy the cheapest vacuum on the market and it’ll have a light that comes on when the cheap vacuum is on. This so-called smart, high tech “IQ” Robot doesn’t have a light? For those who have multiple dogs, work during the day this is not practical. To summarize, leave your lights in the house on every night and move your furniture 6 feet apart so the 1 foot IQ Robot Vacuum has room to dock on the 1 foot docking station.

      We definitely understand your concerns, Frankie. We recommend that you find a permanent location for the base, in a central area with a strong Wi-Fi signal. It is suggested to allow clearance of 3ft on each side of the base and 5 ft in front allowing the robot to navigate and dock without any obstacles interfering with navigation. As for the light, the robot is equipped with an upward-facing sensor located between the Clean and Dock buttons. The robot uses the sensor to identify unique reference points to aid its navigation, and does require the area to be lit for the sensor to work correctly. Please keep the sensor clean, and do not cover.

      @@SharkHome I have been using the Shark for over a week now, so I can better evaluate. first, it definitely doesn’t not need 3 ft (6ft. Total) on the left & right sides of the docking station. A foot and a half is the ideal clearance for docking and much more practical.
      I haven’t tested it in the dark yet, but for over a week I had it scheduled to start at 6:30am. No lights on in the home, but as the sun rise in the morning gives a little bit of natural light throughout. The home is not very bright at that time of the morning and it has done a great job. It also turns out that scheduling it very early in the morning works out best for our daily schedule.
      So far, we have been very impressed and pleased with its performance.

    The remainder of this video assumes that your robot has already been setup. Then this video is useless! I CANNOT get this freaking thing to connect to my WiFi router. I have done everything the instructions said to do to no avail and there is nothing out here that tells you what can be done to fix the problem. I can't tell the number of times I have rebooted the routers, verified that the AP Isolation setting has been disabled, rebooted the vacuum cleaner, rebooted my android device, uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it, changed android devices and NOTHING. The problem still persists. It will not connect to the WiFi. I guess I am going to have to take the dam thing back and I really wanted it to work.
