Nice choice man! I had a bonus last year that went towards an optic for my m4A1 block 2. I wanted a nightforce nxs 2.5-10x42 but didn’t like second focal plane. Then I looked at all the premium LPVO’s (it’s only once a decade I can afford a 2k+ scope and I wanted something I’d never regret and something versatile). Ended up with the nightforce nx8 2.5-20x50 mil-c f1. I couldn’t be happier. With a red dot I have the best of all worlds, especially in my badger com one mount. Mpvos are totally misunderstood and under valued. It’s the best of all worlds without compromise.
Niiiice yeah I totally get you on that. I’ve heard solid things about Nightforce but ever had one myself. Jealous lol. Sounds like a sick setup you’ve got there!
Athena is a great reticle for long range. Similar to the Leupold PR2 reticle that is super popular on the Mark 4 & 5HD scopes. Great alternative at a more affordable price.
Great vid. I’ve built a few long range AR’s. I have PA GLX 2.5-10 on my 16” 556 build I took out to 1k. It’s using the Griffin mil, but I like the look of the Athena BPR Mil. I’m really conceding the PA 3-18 GLX or say F’it and get the 4.5-27 GLX for my 20” LMT 6.5 CM then move it to a 18” 556 build when I can afford a 5-25 NF w/Tremor 3
I say keep the back up irons on it so when you build that MK12 you can move the scope over to that and put a red dot or acog on the sopmod again ;) FYI I finished my sopmod block II build! next for me is a mk18!
Consider getting some chapstick and putting that on your light lens. Any gunk that accrues wipes right off. Ive been using the same tube of berts bees for weapon lights for years.
Keep the irons. A dot mounted on to can fail if the mount holding your primary optic fails. Get a game changer barricade/rear bag. The new magpul PR stock is nice, the B5 systems precisionis a good option as well.
It maybe not popular but I too enjoy the a2 grip. Both aesthetically and functionally. The origional angle I feel like is spot on
I'm always surprised people like the a2, I get legit hand cramps and wrist is cranked unnaturally.
@@nickherreragt Just curious, are you carrying for rifle for hours before you notice this, or would you say it’s pretty immediate?
@jamesshoots like 15 minutes in most sessions, my buddy and we're into cloning for a while he still like a2 and a1 I moved away from them on my rifles
@jamesshoots also I'm mexican at maxed out hight stats at 5'10 my buddy Luke is like 6'2 so idk maybe has something to with it
The only gripe I've ever had with the A2 grip is that little finger nub. Makes it super awkward for me
Cool to see what a session looks like!

I was looking at the NXS 2.5 too and the SFP was a deal breaker for me too. I ended up with the 4-16 ATACR MIL-XT Reticle and it’s an awesome reticle

Shout out from Texas. Nice video
Thank you! Texas forever!

The Athena has better dial in, more open grid, better auto ranging, better grid navigation and more more usable under NV

great video and your office background or whatever looks fire
Haha thanks man!

Hahaha not a bad idea! Hell yeah, the MK18 is great!
The Athena reticle in actual use is far superior to other mil grids or reticles

When you have your rear sight flipped up, does it look canted. Mine does as well as my brothers. Not sure if this is normal
Check out the 100 concepts LightCap. Should eliminate the carbon getting on your Light lens.
Hehe, I made a similar RIS II upper with the Centurion SOCOM midlength. Super soft.
Maybe try it on the M16A4 also for comparative purposes.

You seem lil funny
It’s not an mpvo
Yes it is
K
Tf is it then? Lol
Love your videos. Great builds and nice hair.
