  • I've produced four chapters from my 'Cruising The Trent Severn Waterway' production that was originally released in 2015 as a 72 minute long DVD/Blu ray combo package. The full presentation takes viewers from 'Mile Zero' at Trenton on Lake Ontario, through the entire 240 miles/386 km right up to Lock #45 at Port Severn where the system meets Georgian Bay/Lake Huron. Best part is that a good deal was filmed right from our boat as we cruised the area aboard our Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge. Most of the footage was taken in 2014, with an update of Trent Port Marina at Trenton, captured in 2019 (Chapter One).
At the time, the disks were available for sale online, but due to the DVD/Disc format quickly losing appeal, they were no longer in demand and sales were discontinued . . .
However, rather than keep the video on the shelf, so to speak, I'm making it available for you here!
Given its long run time, I've broken it up into four chapters, with this being Chapter Four. This portion takes the viewer from Lock #39, Portage, onto and through Lake Simcoe with a stop at the Port Of Orillia before continuing downbound through Locks #42 - 45, ending up at Port Severn.
There was a considerable amount of time invested into the production and it's my hope that everyone will enjoy the insights, lovely scenery and as always, inspiration!
Subsequent chapters will be released each Sunday and all four available on this Playlist: • Cruise Entire Trent Se... 😊
Location is on Ontario, Canada's lovely 240 mile/386 km Trent Severn Waterway.
Over the past number of years of cruising this lovely waterway, I've produced well over 200 other videos from our wonderful visits, which you can find in this ever expanding playlist here; • Trent Severn Waterway ...

Planning on doing this trip in the opposite direction as you did. Will leave our home port of Richards Landing, piloting a 30' Sea Ray Sundancer. You did a terrific job filming and narrating, thank you.

Merry Christmas to all. Enjoyed the video on a cold winter day. I saw car/boats or boats/cars. Kinda cool. Take care.

And a big Merry Christmas to you as well. Nice to see some sunny and warm boating days - even if it's only on UA-cam for now :-)

What a great series! I cannot believe this did not sell. I would have purchased one for sure had I known about it. I still would if they are available. I watched a series like this on the Erie Canal that I bought many years ago. I still watch it at least 4 or 5 times each winter. I plan to watch this series a few more times on my big screen to really enjoy it. Well done Paul!

I'd like to say that we've been watching the days growing longer, but all we're seeing is whiteout conditions in our part of the world. Oh well, that s**w is gonna help rejuvenate our waterways for another glorious season of boating in '23 🤗

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Of course. I've been a subscriber for a couple of years now and have watched the transition from the 330 to the 380 and will be looking for something similar to do my loop. Just retired from 25 years as a private yacht captain.

This has been a very enjoyable watch. I've felt for a long time that the T-S and 1000 Islands region is severely underrepresented and passed over by most. To me, it seems like the summer analogue to a winter in the Exumas.
One request (and a potential followup offer)... Would you mind uploading them in one video without the intro and outros between episodes so that we may experience it in the format you originally intended? If you can't, with your permission, I'd be happy to stitch it together for you and push it to my channel, all credit going to you with full intro and outros intact on either end, and not monitized, of course.

TS not represented? I've been posting videos of our time on the lovely Trent Severn Waterway for well over ten years now, so doing my part at least ;-)
As for re-editing and uploading this video, I'd appreciate it if you didn't do that. Beyond the initial effort to produce the original video, it was a bit of a struggle with Y/T to make it publicly available, so let's just leave things as is. That said, I do have a few copies of the DVD/Blu-ray combo packs that I will be making available for purchase in the future, as soon as I confirm my shipping costs. I will post something here on the channel once that becomes available, so keep an eye out for it.

@@BoatingWithBoogaboo Yours is the only channel I've found that comprehensively covers it. Then again, you lucked out being so close to it. I've seen some other videos of it, but they're mostly from loopers that give the area a flyby and gloss over a lot (OK, a TON) of what you show.
I shall keep my hands in my pockets regarding the video! No worries!

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo

I hear ya! Believe it or not, many evenings during the off season are topped off with me scouring UA-cam for new boating videos - especially ones with 'local' content. Sadly, most are, as you mentioned, mere gloss overs if filmed in our neck of the woods, or focusing on the - pardon my bad language - sailing 😩
That said, we have stumbled across a few over the years that look like they held promise, but seemed to have vanished in the interim. My guess is that the guys putting out those particular videos discovered that it takes a considerable commitment to produce regular content and they simply gave up. Sad, but I can't fault them. Hopefully new creators will pick up the torch and run with it - for all our sake 😉
